Honestly, the better one is Teletubbies by a long shot! I said this before, but it legit feels like it's a bit of a representation of a caregiver or multiple caregivers taking care of a bunch of toddlers. The teletubbies themselves already have the curiosity, mischievousness, and overall behavior of toddlers, but I especially see that whenever the narrator talks, since the teletubbies are aware of his presence. He says the whole thing like it's a story in order to help guide the teletubbies to do something, which honestly sounds like an interesting way someone could help guide a toddler to do something correctly by themselves, since they're learning to be a bit more independent! And then some if not most of the antics that happen in it are because the teletubbies make a mistake on what they're trying to do or if they don't listen. And the antics can tend to get sillier if they do so PURPOSELY because it makes them giggle! (Specific example being the segment in "Pink") And many tend to say the trippiest parts have to do with the windmill, but I honestly see it more as if a caregiver were to say "Hey, kids! It's storytime!" And they all come rushing over to hear the story! Same could be said for a lot of the other windmill events!

My take is that the viewer is represented by the baby sun. Which as you mentioned feels like it makes the baby (the viewer) the center of their world. Also why there are so many different babies in the remakes, so the viewers get a chance to see themselves as the center of the Teletubbies existence! Now my hairbrained theory revolving around this is that means that baby sun (viewer) and human children in general are like the Tubbies gods, given sun iconography is very god related. The teletubbies are in a veritable garden of eden, and are explorers of this new world (astronaut symbology) that need to learn all about it. It gives the viewer someone to relate to, and autonomy. After all, when they're born, babies probably feel like the center of their own world, but also very lonely little astronauts. Scientists sent to a new world they have to figure out the rules of.

32:48 is that '5am'? "And you dont know how to feel until the moments past, I wish, you'd live, like you're made of glass" ? Cause Athena said that in tone with the song.

I was OBSESSED with Teletubbies as a little little kid! My mom also said I loved Boobah as a baby/toddler but no one else ever knows what I'm talking about when I mention it!!

My brother and I were Dispy and Po for Halloween once! I'm glad to have had Telitubbies over Boobah, that over 4 minute intro of kids rhythmically chanting "Bew-bah, bew-bah" followed by farting rainbow bean pod feels like a fever dream

Realistically, teletubbies is just alien children learning about our world one piece at a time. We sort of do the same with their world through things like nunu, the teletubby diet, the pinwheel, and the sentient sun. I assume boobah is sensory purgatory for the poorsouls of storyland. Who give gifts in an attempt to be spared/forgiven and get to heaven or return to earth. Hence why it's a new person everytime?

Teletubbies was one of those things I was into up until I was 13. And I wondered why I was so interested in a baby show of all things when I was also interested in shows closer to my age range at the time. Well you pretty much explained it. It's colorful, weird, and there's something charming about it. And as someone with ADHD, I relate to that "AGAIN AGAIN" thing! We make fun of it but how many times have I listened to a song or watched an episode/KZbin video/movie over and over again??

When I was a baby in the far off year of 2004, my mom had a boobaah tape, watched it for 5 minutes, said “this is r-worded” and threw it away. I grew up with Teletubbies though.

Make vanilla pudding and thin it out with some ripple milk, add some pink dye and pour it in a cup with a boba straw and enjoy your tubbiecustard while watching the Paw Patrol Mighty Pups movie for the 10th time since it’s incredible too. Kids media is so underrated

You have some of the best one-liners I have ever heard from any of my fave creators on YT, this is insanely good

I love the makeup you did for this. Something my 4 year old likes to watch is those survival builds that aren’t really practical for survival (like underground pools and stuff like that)

Now do the Teletubbies vs In the Night Garden?? They are both practical effects, with wacky creatures haha!

"Po's my favorite because of how small she is." Wait, she? Po's a SHE?! I always thought she was a baby boy! Wow! This is probably the longest I've went misgendering a character. I blame Elmo. Elmo's: Leave Elmo out of this. Kyle's the one who came to the conclusion that anyone with Elmo's color scheme and tone of voice has his gender. Okay. Fair enough. It does make sense for Po to be a girl, since two of the four characters are boys. It evens out.

I was absolutely terrified of the teletubbies, there was a teletubby ride at chuck. E cheese and I cried every time.I walked past it because I thought they were going to take me to the teletubby world and I'd have to live there forever.I hated the teletubbies anytime, like a little friend or sibling would turn it on. I would run off screaming
