It's really good to see someone that also has YKW3 as their favorite game in the series, i do too, and it's really sad to see so many people disliking this game. Every single person I know that played Yo-kai Watch games say 1 or 2 is their favorite and they also go on to say how much they don't like the third game, and almost always they only like more the first two games because they played it first and are biased towards them. Is that bad? Not really. But when they use it as a way to nitpick or hate 3 and overlook the things it offers because it's different from the earlier games, it just makes me MAD. That said though, I'm glad you love this game, as it just makes the video even better to watch, seeing that you did a really great job with these on YKW. Good luck with the next retrospectives on this series dude! Looking forward to them. Edit: And by the way, if Level-5 decides to port another game to Switch like they did with the first game, i hope it's this one as it deserves another chance. I don't really care if they skip YKW2 seeing as that game was TECHNICALLY the peak of the series, at least in terms of sale, so it really got time to shine. YKW3 not as much, so even though this franchise is really not popular right now, if more people who didn't got it before get access to it, it will make me feel really happy, even if not many do.

Great video! I got this game a few weeks ago after not being invested in the series in years and it’s amazing. It’s a shame that physical copies are so rare now, I remember seeing a bunch of them in stores around 2019 but never picking one up because at the time my 3ds was broken. (I regret it a lot now). With the eshop shutting down as well it just makes me sad to think that such a great game will become even less accessible here in the united states.

My only gripes with the game. 1. I really don't like the new summoning music in the anime. I don't know what about it I hate, but I just dislike it so much. 2. They changed a lot of the voice actors, which I know they had a reason for, but I just can't listing to Nate and whisper without they're old voices. 3. As a southerner myself I find some of the jokes about southern people a little..... Taboo..... I know they didn't come from any place of malice, but I can't help but be a little offended

Ngl this is maybe cuz I'm french and thus all this America theme passed over my head but I remember the reception in my country being the meh-est ever, like for the 2nd game, it was everywhere and game copies were republished every day or so (so much you could still find some in mall years after) and stuff, a real ''pokemon 2'' like people liked to say, but for ykw3 the public reaction was just ''well it's a game... the only problem i genuinely have with this game is that it's so overstuffed. that and you can't savescum becasue it doesn't allow you to do anything without saving it, and all of the time based events. it's very stressful, being someone who does not like to time travel on my consoles. i only time travelled to get the rare spenp variant and to get the platinum bar for castelius max in the first game

Another fantastic video! Amazing work! 12:50 Tile placement actually DOES matter. Physical attackers do 10% more damage while standing on frontmost tiles and magic attackers do 10% more damage standing on the back tiles. They do cover that in the tutorial but it would be nice if the UI would show that.

This was honestly a really fun series retrospective to binge. Yo-Kai Watch 3 is definitely my favorite mainline game of the series. (Note: I haven’t had a chance to play 4 or the other Switch releases.) It adds so much to what the 1st and 2nd games are built on with a great story, awesome characters, and a really good soundtrack. Plus I enjoy all the American tropes and stereotypes thrown in. It’s a real shame the series as a whole flopped in the West. I’m definitely glad I preordered a physical copy when they first revealed it.

As someone who pretty much 100% the game, (Did Every Quest, completed the Medallion), I have a love hate relationship with this game. It's my favorite game of all time, but I'll never understand why these 80 hour+ RPGs feel the need to have the most unnecessary padding I've ever seen. It feels like some sort of inside joke that you have to do the Yells Kitchen dungeon not only everytime you want to unlock a new area, but whether or not you get a new area in of itself is random. Or the fact I had to grind running up and down a loading zone to get the Mushroom Lady to spawn for hours. Or the fact there are some Yo Kai hidden away in some 1% random encounter every time you use a Train, and you still have to go through the random chance of befriending them. It's baffling, at least with daily events I can understand the principle of that creating artificial rarity for the sake of trading, I don't know why you need that in a game with version exclusives but still, yet there is no logic behind the main brux of it all, it makes the game feel as if it lacked playtestors because there's no way anyone remotely sane could think half of the stuff present in the game is ok.

YKW3 is the best game on the 3ds, it’s my No. 1 game for total time played (377 hours and 45 minutes) and I’ve put 93 hours 57 minutes into the Japanese version (it’s really good for learning the language since I’m eager to play YKW4). All in all, it deserved better

The biggest thing that hurt this game was the VERY limit release. At my local Gamestop they only had 2 copy of the game and they were perorder. Luckly I was one of them but there were a good size of parents who want to buy the game but couldnt because the Gamestop had no more. I know you could digital buy it most of the parent had to be show how to do it by the employee.

The one thing I personally never liked about Yokai-Watch 3 was just how many of the merican yokai were just based off food. Huge missed opportunity of a line of yokai inspired by Cryptids. Alongside that, I think it was a shame just how little the Merican Yokai Boss theme played in the game.

Heres my opinion on both the trains and rafting. Fun every once in a while, but definitely a horrible idea to lock Yo-Kai behind it. Tigappa with the Rafting adventures Agon with trains Tip: Haily Anne's /Inaho's train tides feel on average shorter then Nate's. Saying this as someone who got both Statiking and Agon through this method

as much as i wanna watch this video i do not wanna spoil myself for a game i still wanna play YW3 NEVER came to australia and it sucked missing out on it couldn't get it on the e shop in fact we werr oblivious to a 3rd game australians really got done over hard by this i really wanna play it on an emulator, but my pc is absolutely awful and i cannot even emulate it currently i really wish we could have gotten it as i was a big fan of ykw
