@@eclipse9727 Basically, she lost Colgate to a crit stone edge from Aron's Heracross, Oops was killed by a crit earthquake from Bertha's Rypherior, Flakes shortly after died to an avalanche from it, and while not directly losing to Flint, her remaining team being weak to fire made her know she'd lose, so she did a poll to see if she should restart the Pokemon League or not, and they said she should restart it, but she said she wouldn't pretend she didn't lose.

She lost on stream (half her team lost to Bertha, and then losing to Flint), and went to a save point on the same run, then winning the run. Technically not doing the run officially as she lost with that team, and then went back to before the battle. So yeah, the whole second person thing and flashbacks refer to her previous runs. The use of silence on Jaiden’s part during the Giratina scene is some of the best storytelling I have ever seen in an animation. I see the same thing a lot with really good Dungeons and Dragons Dungeon Masters, the use of silence to create unease and confusion just works so well on so many levels. Also, on your question of Platinum vs Ruby in terms of nuzlockes, I believe Platinum is significantly harder, I may be wrong though. Also, my favorite pokemon is easily breloom

Posted Before Watching For those wondering what the "glitches" were, it was indeed her second Elite Four attempt. This is what happened: (Thankfully, this happened in an alternate universe thanks to Giratina so if you decide to not read, good on you.) First Run: -Aaron's Heracross got a crit super effective Stone Edge on Colgate (Togekiss) & killed it. -Bertha's Rhyperior Crit Earthquaked Oops (Quagshire) and killed it -Bertha's Rhyperior also Avalanched Flakes (Garchomp) and killed it as well. -Restart to last save (before Elite Four)

Ok, for the people confused about the two Jaidens and the "I didnt deserve this" mentality: Jaiden actually lost this Nuzlocke. What happened was, in the first Elite 4 battle against Aaron, Heracross hit Colgate the Togekiss with Stone Edge, and it was a critical hit, so Togekiss died. In the next fight, Bertha's Rhyperior got a critical hit Earthquake on Oops the Quagsire, and hit Flakes the Garchomp with an Avalanche, killing them both. At that point, considering all her pokemon were weak to Fire, Jaiden felt she had already lost, and did a poll, asking stream viewers if they would rather just have this be the video, or if she should reset to before the Elite 4 and get a second chance. 70% of viewers agreed with letting her reset and try again. She then predictably lost to Flint, the Fire type elite 4, and tried again, and managed to win this time. So basically, she actually lost to the Elite Four, but the viewers decided to let her bypass the Nuzlocke rules and give her a second chance. Which is why she says she didnt really deserve this win.

The main difficulty with Platinum elite four is: Diamond and Pearl and Platinum are all gen 4, but Platinum is considered the harder version since the Elite 4 have higher leveled pokemon as well as a few trainers. Plus Cynthia is argued to be one of the strongest Trainers let alone champions. Seeing what her Garchomp did to this team is a good example. In Ruby and Sapphire the champion Steven Stone has a solid steel team which if a lot easier to counter. While in Emerald version the Champion is Wallace who tried to have a bit more balance.

Ok so i watched the stream and i know what happend Basicly, in the first time that Jaiden tried to win agaist the elite four members, she lost Colgate because of a attack from a herracross (i guess it was by Berry's one but i'm not sure), and then she lost a few mons of her team because of Bertha's Rhyperior, and then gave up because her last pokemons were weak agaist Flint one's. She got super unlucky in those fights, so she tried a next time, and then won. She said in the stream that she didn't win btw.

To clarify the deaths/"deaths" at the end, Jaiden didn't lose all those Pokemon. Remember, she put Cronk and Milk in the box before the fight cause they wouldn't have been able to do much against the elite 4, so they didn't die. Dwayne also didn't die, he lived on 1 HP then was thrown in the box. Jaiden effectively only lost 7 Pokemon on this Nuzlocke, those being; LOL, OOPS, Squoop, Failure, Puppy, Colgate and Shrimp. That's better than her Ruby Nuzlocke where she lost 10, those being; Blubby, ZipZapZop, Spurky, Sin, Corn, Onion, Hushchild, Chomps, Squidward and Chad. She did far more planning on this one cause she has more experience with a Nuzlocke after completing one, thus helping her do better this time around. It's a nice way to see how much she's grown and improved from the first one. I'm the opposite cause I'm still trying my first Nuzlocke on Emerald and I'm on my 25th attempt now.... I still haven't beat it.

Since everyone already answered about the ending, I'll instead describe which of the main series games are rated in terms of popularly agreed upon nuzlocke difficulty. Kanto, Hoenn and Kalos games: Easy, beginner friendly, certain Gyms/Elite Four members provide possible team wipes but counters tend to be fairly common to find or plan for. Johto, Unova and Galar games: Medium, beginning with these is possible but it can prove to be a rocky start to a fresh nuzlocker, tend to have quite a few run killer trainers scattered across their games (Whitney, Morty, Clair, etc for Johto, Lenora, Elesa, Iris/Drayden for Unova, most gym leaders in Galar if you don't plan well against their dynamaxes, etc.) Sinnoh and Alola games: Expert, not beginner friendly at all. Don't tend to have many run killers but the ones that ARE there are absolute monsters (Candice, Cyrus, *CYNTHIA* for Platinum, Totem Wishiwashi, Lurantis and Mimikyu for Sun&Moon, Totem Araquanid, Ribombee and *ULTRA NECROZMA* . Cynthia and Necrozma are bolded for being some of the hardest fights in the entire series, as agreed upon by most everyone asked)

22:00 There is some rule like species clause where you can't get the same pokemon from same evolution line for example if you already catch pikachu you cannot catch raichu. But I think she didn't run that clause in this run cause she got both wooper and quaqsire.

If you want an explanation of the ending, here’s what actually happened (this might explain some things): While battling the Elite Four, Jaiden’s Togekiss died to a crit OHKO Stone Edge from Aaron’s Heracross and Quagsire died to a crit OHKO Earthquake from Bertha’s Rhyperior. Blaming RNG, Jaiden declared that attempt a loss and wanted to retry at the Elite Four to at least reach Cynthia. She put a poll on her twitch chat to get opinions, and 70% of her viewers were okay with that. Original Jaiden presuumably wiped to Flint while alternate Jaiden became champion.

It was a hard decision but she gave it another go from her last saved point and redid it. I was very curious as to how she was gonna draw it, and it came out as beautiful storytelling. But it's totally a reference to what happened on her stream.

My favorite pokemon is Bellossom, but I have a huge soft spot for Shinx. When I played Pearl for the first time, Shinx was the first pokemon I caught, and then I wound up losing my starter in a Trade Center mishap, making Shinx my starter by technicality. That's why I tell people that Shinx is my favorite starter in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. Remember way back in the day when you _didn't_ need to save the world from some horrible disastrous plan Team Whatever was plotting? I always imagine if they all met up with each other. Team Aqua: "We're gonna flood the planet!" Team Dim Sun: "We're going to hypnotize all the pokemon and make them our servants!" Compared to Ruby it depends on how much of a challenge you want. As you've already seen throughout the video platinum is notorious for handing out those crits, and it loves to give them out frequently....not in your favor though. Lol so if you want more of a challenging nuzlocke platinum is definitely the way to go. Would not recommend for first nuzlocke though. The early games are usually better for a first timer or newer nuzlocker, as it *usually* offers an easier learning curve. Just from what I've seen at least.

I understand how Jaiden felt when she lost Squoop. In my first ever Nuzlocke in LeafGreen, I favored a male Nidoran named Spike, loved him the most out of my team, trained him up and evolved him to a Nidoking...then the Route 12 Snorlax killed him with _Struggle_ of all things. I was devastated. Especially since it happened right after a Team Rocket Grunt killed my Sandslash!

Honestly, the way Jaiden portrayed the reset of the game was just amazing. Like, the style of her animations are good as hell, but another big part of them is the story, she is an amazing storyteller. I mean, how many of us thought that we would get emotional bc of another person's Platinum playthrough? I certainly didn't.

9:44 platinum is easier early because you get A LOT of encounters before the first gym (if you take ALL of them, 11. 2 of them require a fishing rod and are probably magikarps though), the mid-game is roughly the same - but the league is A LOT harder. you basically have to overlevel to be safe.

Yeah, she lost the first run but the chat decided to give her a second chance. Those glitchy flashes were of her previous runs before her team was eliminated by Flint in the Elite 4 on her first run. Also, not a big fan of Scraggy, but I love Quagsire's derpy-ness, and the way Jaiden animates his drooling mouth is just adorable. I also really like Azelf and Talonflame. Extra: BLACEPHALON AND JYNX ARE THE MOST CURSED POKEMON AND YOU CAN NOT CHANGE MY MIND.

To anyone wondering about those 2 Jaiden parts and the glitching. She cheated the run because of an unlucky run. She didn't exactly "LOST", she got unlucky and got 3 One Hit crits and got 3 deaths out of it from the elite four and then she made a poll to either restart it or not. 70% said to restart and yes, she said it on stream that she wanted it to be a one run and didn't mind losing to Cynthia and now they had to cheat it away because of the unfortunate crits. Jaidens Magneton last nuzlock survived because of all the HP EV's it got by killing the Marill population in order to evolve lol. Sturdy back then doesn't work the same now, and it was at 2 HP, not 1 HP when it survived. So it wasn't sturdy that allowed it to survive a x4 weakness. Also for your question on nuzlocks I feel like gen 4 is one of the hardest ones. (platinum more than diamond and pearl) Not only is the game just inherently longer than the other gens but the champion battle and the path there is pretty brutal. Well that's in my eyes at least.

I get this is late but this Jaiden video is my all time favorite of hers. Her story about being ripped in half by Giratina is a seriously amazing way of explaining that on her original stream, she lost. She wiped. Bertha killed Colgate, Oops and Flakes, and without her main water type, Flint finished off See, Shrimp and Turt. By the (mostly) agreed upon rules of a Nuzlocke run, she lost and had to start all the way over. However, she was streaming the finale on her Birthday, and even though Jaiden herself was totally willing to admit she had lost, her chat convinced her to give herself a mulligan. So now she sits upon the Champions throne in Sinnoh, but by her own admission, feels as though she didn’t truly deserve it. I honestly think the whole “glitched reality” bit of storytelling is INCREDIBLE, and as far as I am concerned, she still won. The only 2 “official” rules to a Nuzlocke (which itself is a SELF IMPOSED set of rules to make a children’s game more challenging) are “you are only allowed to catch the first Pokémon you meet in an area” and “if a Pokémon reaches zero HP, it’s dead and you aren’t allowed to use it anymore” There is NOTHING stating you have to completely give up if your team whites out. There is NOTHING stating that you can’t give yourself another chance if you lose right at the Elite 4. And besides, Jaiden isn’t a pro Nuzlocker. She’s a bad ass animator who makes her money through amazing storytelling and animated art. The Giratina split created an amazing story backed by amazing animation. And I see that as beautiful. And your reactions were awesome to watch, my man. Keep up the great work!

Even though it was through a blood sacrifice, it proved that he's useful even though everyone considered him a "Failure". No matter, how useless people say you are. No matter, how your parents think of you as a disappointment. Just know, that you are still worth something (those organs go for a whole lot in the black market, you know)
