Exactly. Ppl who just glaze any dark side user over any light side character I swear. The glaze is real. Light side users with strong attachments or certain dark side traits but can resist the temptation to fall are more powerful than those corrupted by the dark side. Ppl just love the empire so much to why they glaze dark side users. Ik it's pretty chill, but glazing needs to just stop with power scaling. Palps did indeed got insanely lucky. He got lucky that Plagueis was drunk, he got lucky at the election, lucky that anakin was a dumbass, and got lucky to not have been found earlier due to the Jedi's rigid code.

1:21, And not only that, but Dooku was one of the strongest and most skilled Force-sensitives at that time, it's just that he's going up against the strongest Lightsider in the galaxy at the time, who unfortunately for him can also make all his physical attributes like a little green Saiyan. Yoda is an interesting case, since sure he is highly experienced due to his centuries as a Jedi, the lifetimes he spent honing his abilities, learning lessons, teaching students, and yet, even with all that power, all that skill, all that experience, all that wisdom, even his confidence can turn to arrogance, even he could ignore the signs that the Jedi were being lured into a trap and not done enough to stop it or prevent it. That's part of what makes his fight with Palpatine so good, because even with all of Yoda's swaggering, acting as if he can solve all his problems just by assassinating Palpatine, all he ends up doing is giving Palpatine more ammunition to disparage the Jedi to the people around the galaxy that had already grown to distrust them (5:10, and to add insult to injury, Palpatine just stopped trying to sword fight and said, "wait, I'm a space psychic, I don't need a sword!" and just started pelting debris at him). In the end, Yoda failed, to stop Palpatine, to stop the Empire and very nearly, in training Luke. One of the few good things that came from the Sequel Era is having Yoda talk about failure and how masters are what their students grow beyond (or at least, that is the ideal). 0:32, As a side note, one cool but minor detail in these films is Dooku's lightning being something of a steady stream of blue arcs, 5:39, but Palpatine's lightning in the next movie's is this vicious torrent of wild, flailing purple arcs that smash into their target like cement blocks and almost seem to flash this eerie purple light on the area around, which does good job of visually demonstrating the gap in their respective power in the Force (more specifically, the Dark Side) and make Palpatine seem far more dangerous with how his powers look.

lol, you wish. as far as depiction on a movie screen in ep. 1-6 - Palpatine is the strongest character in SW saga. period. Yoda lost here, Yoda let Dooku escape. Palp walked among all of the jedi council in plane site, for more than a decade, and they couldn't even sense who is in front of them. nor predict their doom. his (Palp's) manipulation of the force is unmatched. he threw the fight with Windu seconds before Anakin came in, only to finally convert him on the dark side. it was all calculated. why? there were no guards, no clones, no trickery, no nothing. do you seriously think after decades of planning he would just let himself be unprotected in an office against who might come for him after he blew his cover to Anakin?) no, he got rid of the rest by 2 swipes, and played with Windu for exact amount of time he needed. that's the true mastery. Yoda is just an "old kung-fu master" stereotype, that's because everybody thinks he is thd most powerful, but as far as depiction in movies go - he is kinda lame, tbh. prime or not, i don't care. it's not that Sidious in his 20s here either. the most powerful jedi in prequels is Obi Wan. he won against prime Vader.

@@badnarratorr The fight was pretty even between Sidious and Yoda. Yoda was the etter duelist but Palpy seemed to has the upper hand in foce powers. He threw the senate pods at Yoda and the old master barely could dodge them. The end was rather a stalemate the Yoda's victory. Few people knew that Palpy wasn't trying to flee at the beginnig but to lure Yoda into the narrow hallway where he couldn't use his prefered lightsaber form. (Yoda uses form 4 ataru which rellys heavily on acrobatics and jumps and it needs big space in order to be effective.)

Yoda is by the strongest character during the prequels trilogy and the strongest Jedi besides Prime Luke. What a badass, every time he showed up the other side was panicking and was about to get his ass handed to him. This was truly a masterpiece of a video. You combined humor with actual Star Wars lore. You got my sub as soon as you said that Yoda was stronger than Sidious which is obviously true!

I couldn’t agree more with your analysis and I’ve been saying all this for YEARS. When it comes to saber skills NOBODY matches Grandmaster Yoda, and Sidious was completely equal to Yoda in overall force ability, not better. Sidious’ real claim to fame that sets him apart is his absolute ruthless evil and his matchlessly cunning mind, but in terms of sheer power and combat ability, Yoda would win in a level playing field, I have no doubt.
