Welcome @abdussalammohamed86 How to reset the ABS light Fix the issue Resetting the ABS light in Juke without solving the underlying issue may not help, as the warning light will turn back on when the system again detects the fault. The light should disappear automatically after fixing the issue. If it doesn’t turn off immediately, driving your vehicle for a few miles should help. OBDII scanner method The proper way to reset the ABS light in Juke is by clearing the codes with an OBDII scanner. If the warning light doesn’t turn off automatically after fixing the issue, you will have to do it manually by connecting a diagnostic device and then deleting all the error codes related to the ABS system. Disconnect the battery If you don’t have a diagnostic device, it may be possible to reset the ABS light in Juke by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Remove the cable from the negative terminal of the battery first, then from the positive terminal. With the battery disconnected, press the horn button a few times and turn on the headlights to drain out all the residual electricity from the system. After about 15 minutes, reconnect the battery in reverse order: positive cable first, then negative cable. Use OBD2 scanner for diagnosis Since Nissan Juke is equipped with on-board diagnostics (OBD), a fault diagnosis can provide initial indications of where the malfunction is located. To begin troubleshooting, you must first connect the diagnostic tool to your Juke. The OBDII connector is usually located under the dashboard. With the tool connected, turn on the ignition. Most diagnostic devices then ask for some information about the vehicle. It is important that you enter this 100% correctly, otherwise the result of the search may be inaccurate. In addition to the vehicle make, model, and engine type, you usually also have to type in the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Since some OBD codes are manufacturer-specific, the scanner will be able to give you more accurate information if you enter more details about your Juke

Welcome @alwxjackson1900 1. Is the ESP light on constantly or does it flash on sometimes while driving? Flash sometimes: If the ESP light flashes while the vehicle is in motion, the ESP or traction control system is intervening. This is a normal feature. On constantly: The ESP light may be constantly lit if the "ESP off" button was pressed. The ESP can be reactivated by switching off the ignition and then on again. If the ESP light goes off, the system is fully functional. Go to step 2. 2. Is the ESP light still on? Yes: The ESP light is still on. The vehicle can still be braked in the normal way. No: The ESP light is not on. The customer does not need to take any further action and can continue driving. If the ESP light is on continuously (and the ESP/ESC system is not switched off), you should contact your Volkswagen Retailer to have the system checked.

So I need your advice what do to my esp appear in dashboard while driving?..
@Dashboardwarninglights
@Dashboardwarninglights 7 ай бұрын
@marlenealisis7721 Why is My ESP Warning Light On? If your Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) warning light is on, this will usually indicate that you are either driving on a slippery surface or that there is a problem with your electronic stability program system. When you are driving on a slippery surface such as a wet road, the light will turn on to demonstrate that it is working. Usually, the light flashes in this case. However, if you are driving on a normal surface and the light is constant, you have an issue with your electronic stability system. What are the Common Reasons the Electronic Stability Programme Warning Light Will Come On? There are several faults that could be behind an ESP warning light on your dash. These are: Faulty Wheel ABS Sensors The sensors in the wheels provide the ABS control unit with information about each wheel’s speed. This allows the ABS to make the necessary corrections if one or more of the wheels slips. If a sensor fails, it might detect a wheel slip that has not happened, which can cause the light to switch on. Faulty ABS Rings The ABS sensor measures the speed of the wheels from the ABS ring. If these rings are faulty or broken, it can cause the sensor to measure the wrong speed. Faulty Brake Pedal Switch The ESP system needs to be informed when you press the brake, and there is a switch installed on the brake pedal that ensures this function works correctly. However, a fault with the switch could cause the wrong information to be sent out, which can lead to the ESP light coming on. Faulty Throttle Body When your car slips, the throttle body is used to control power output for the ESP system. A fault with the throttle body will cause the ESP light to be switched on. Faulty Steering Angle Sensor The steering angle is also used by the ESP system to determine what to do if your car is slipping. If there is a fault or the steering angle sensor is programmed incorrectly, the ESP light may come on. ABS Wiring Problems There are also wires from the ABS unit to control each wheel sensor. However, the suspension causes these wires to move a lot, which can lead to wear and tear over time.

I have a vauxhall Astra and I have an ongoing problem with ESP warning message after starting the car, the engine shakes and judders and there is definitely a reduction in power when driving. The esp light appears as a warning message, on the dash there is also the traction symbol and engine symbol which comes on. The engine light sometimes flashes but then when i stop at the traffic lights, it stops so im thinking maybe a faulty sensor. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you

@suec9490 Thanks for watching.... Try to Change your spark plugs Several areas could be causing this - may be the case there is an issue with ABS related components, however more likely a potential engine misfire is causing the juddering, which in turn will bring on the ESP warning lights due to low engine torque output. A full diagnostic session is the next step regardless. Hope this might help. Dashboard warning lights

@Dashboardwarninglights
@Dashboardwarninglights 3 ай бұрын
@volkan005 If the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) light is illuminated on your Suzuki Swift, it indicates that there might be an issue with the system. Here's what you can do: 👉 Check for loose connections: Sometimes, the ESP light can be triggered by a loose connection. Check the wiring and connectors related to the ESP system. 👉 Inspect the wheel speed sensors: The ESP system relies on wheel speed sensors to function properly. Dirty or damaged wheel speed sensors can cause the ESP light to come on. Inspect the sensors for any dirt, debris, or damage, and clean or replace them as needed. 👉 Check the brake light switch: The brake light switch is also tied to the ESP system. If the brake light switch is malfunctioning, it can cause the ESP light to illuminate. Make sure your brake lights are working properly, and if not, replace the brake light switch. Ignoring the ESP light can lead to safety issues, especially during adverse driving conditions. It's essential to address the problem as soon as possible.

@Dashboardwarninglights Ай бұрын
@tomspeed2000 Given the recurring nature of the ESP and ABS warning lights, along with other system failures like auto hold and tire pressure monitoring, here’s a more detailed approach to diagnose and potentially fix the issue: 1. Battery and Charging System 👉 Check Battery Voltage: Use a multimeter to check the battery voltage. A fully charged battery should read around 12.6 volts with the car off and 13.7-14.7 volts with the engine running. 👉 Inspect Alternator: Ensure the alternator is charging the battery correctly. An undercharging or overcharging alternator can cause multiple electronic issues. 2. Wheel Speed Sensors 👉 Inspect and Clean: Visually inspect the wheel speed sensors located at each wheel. Clean any dirt or debris around them. 👉 Check Wiring: Look for any signs of damaged or corroded wiring. If any wiring looks worn out, it may need to be repaired or replaced. 3. ABS Module 👉 Connections: Check the connections to the ABS module. Ensure all plugs and connectors are securely attached and free from corrosion. 👉 Error Codes: Use an OBD-II scanner to read any stored error codes. Codes related to the ABS module can help pinpoint the issue. 4. Brake Light Switch 👉 Functionality: Ensure the brake light switch is functioning properly. If the brake lights are not working consistently, it might be causing the issue. 👉 Replacement: A faulty brake light switch is relatively inexpensive and easy to replace. 5. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) 👉 Sensor Batteries: Check if the TPMS sensors’ batteries are functioning. Sensor batteries typically last 5-10 years. 👉 Relearn Procedure: Some vehicles require a TPMS relearn procedure after replacing sensors or rotating tires. Refer to your car’s manual for the procedure. 6. Electronic Control Unit (ECU) 👉 Reset ECU: Sometimes, resetting the ECU can clear intermittent faults. Disconnect the car battery for about 15 minutes, then reconnect it. 👉 Software Update: Check if there are any software updates available for your vehicle’s ECU from the manufacturer. 7. Professional Diagnosis 👉 Mechanic or Dealership: If the problem persists, it’s best to take your car to a professional mechanic or dealership. Provide them with any error codes you’ve retrieved. 👉 Advanced Diagnostic Tools: Professional mechanics have advanced diagnostic tools that can pinpoint issues more accurately. 8. Common Error Codes 👉 C1234, C1235, etc.: These are common wheel speed sensor codes. 👉 U0121: Loss of communication with the ABS module. 👉 P0504: Brake switch correlation. Steps to Diagnose and Fix: 👉 Start with the Battery and Alternator: Ensure they are in good condition. 👉 Inspect Wheel Speed Sensors: Clean and check for damage. 👉 Read Error Codes: Use an OBD-II scanner. 👉 Check Brake Light Switch: Ensure it’s working properly. 👉 Inspect and Secure Electrical Connections: Especially around the ABS module. 👉 Consult a Mechanic: If DIY checks don’t solve the issue, professional help is necessary. By systematically checking these components and using an OBD-II scanner to read any error codes, you can identify the root cause of the problem. If you're not comfortable performing these checks yourself, a visit to a qualified mechanic is advisable.

@@ngayaberurapierrecelestin9204 The combination of the stability control light, the triangle warning light, and the noise from the ABS module suggests a more complex issue, likely centered around the ABS and traction control systems. Here are some additional steps you can take: 👉 Inspect the ABS Module: Since you're hearing noise from the ABS module, it may be malfunctioning. Inspect the module for any obvious signs of damage or loose connections. 👉 Check the Hand Brake System: Given that the hand brake is also not functioning properly, check the entire braking system, including the hand brake cables and the brake calipers. 👉 Test the ABS Relays and Fuses: Check the relays and fuses associated with the ABS system. A faulty relay or blown fuse can cause the ABS module to behave erratically. 👉 Examine the Brake Fluid Level and Quality: Ensure the brake fluid is at the correct level and is in good condition. Contaminated or old brake fluid can affect braking performance. 👉 Scan for Error Codes Again: After addressing the wheel speed sensors, perform another scan for error codes. Sometimes clearing the initial codes and re-scanning can reveal additional issues. 👉 Monitor for Additional Symptoms: Pay attention to any other symptoms that might appear, such as changes in brake pedal feel, unusual noises, or any new warning lights. Since brake failure and stability control issues are critical safety concerns, if you're unable to resolve the issues after these checks, it's essential to have a professional mechanic diagnose and repair the problem. The ABS and traction control systems are complex, and a thorough inspection by a professional will ensure that all issues are properly addressed, keeping you safe on the road.

@dominicking9859 It sounds like you make not have a balance or tire/wheel issue at all. What it sounds like is you may have some motor mounts that are worn and or broken. Have your mechanic take a close look at the motor mounts ( all 4 of them) also look closely at the exhaust hanger bracket directly under the front sub frame. Both the motor mounts and the exhaust hanger have been known to fail on this vehicle. The different ways the engine torques will affect how and what kind of vibrations you get. Note! if you mechanic finds the motor mounts are bad, it is best to have them all done at the same time. However if you can't afford that at least do the 2 motor mounts on the left and right side of the vehicle (the ones by the strut towers) From what you have told me it sounds like you have a very rapid vibration and not the slower vibration that is typical with a tire issue.

When the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) light comes on and affects your car's performance, it often indicates an issue with the system that assists in stability and traction control. The restrictions you're experiencing, such as limited RPM and shaking steering, suggest a significant issue. It's crucial to have this checked by a mechanic or at a service center immediately. Driving with these symptoms could potentially be unsafe, as it might compromise your ability to control the vehicle. The shaking in the steering could indicate a problem with the steering components or wheel sensors linked to the stability system. A diagnostic scan will pinpoint the exact problem, enabling appropriate repairs to restore proper functionality and safety to your car.

@robertacanning1977 right Mechanical problems: issues like uneven tyre pressure or poor wheel alignment could also cause the ESP system to work incorrectly 👉 What can cause the ESP to malfunction? An ESP malfunction can be attributed to several causes. When your ESP warning light illuminates, it could be due to any of the following reasons: Faulty wheel speed sensors: the wheel speed sensors are a key part of the ESP system. They monitor the rotational speed of each wheel. If these sensors are not working correctly, it will cause the ESP warning light to illuminate Malfunctioning steering angle sensor: the steering angle sensor helps the ESP system understand the angle of the steering wheel. A faulty sensor could send incorrect data to the ESP system, causing it to malfunction Damaged wiring: any damage to the wires within the ESP system can lead to ESP malfunction Mechanical problems: issues like uneven tyre pressure or poor wheel alignment could also cause the ESP system to work incorrectly It's important to note that the presence of the ESP light does not necessarily mean there's a problem with the ESP system itself. It could be a sign of other issues in the car that are affecting the ESP's operation.

Can a bad O2 sensor cause an ESP light to come on?
@Dashboardwarninglights
@Dashboardwarninglights Ай бұрын
@retroonyoutube5402 A bad O2 (oxygen) sensor is not typically a direct cause for the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) light to come on. The ESP system, also known as the Electronic Stability Control (ESC), is designed to help maintain vehicle stability and control, particularly in slippery conditions or during sudden maneuvers. It primarily relies on sensors that monitor wheel speed, steering angle, yaw rate, and lateral acceleration. However, there are some indirect ways a bad O2 sensor might contribute to the ESP light coming on: 👉 Engine Performance Issues: A faulty O2 sensor can lead to poor engine performance, such as rough idling, stalling, or misfiring. Significant engine performance issues could potentially affect the vehicle's stability and trigger the ESP system as it tries to compensate for the irregularities. 👉 Related Warning Lights: If a bad O2 sensor causes the check engine light to come on, it could potentially lead to other related systems, including the ESP, being disabled or affected. Some vehicles disable the ESP when certain engine faults are detected to prevent further damage. 👉 ECU Interference: Both the O2 sensor and the ESP system are monitored and controlled by the vehicle's electronic control unit (ECU). An issue with the ECU, possibly caused by a faulty O2 sensor sending incorrect data, might indirectly affect the ESP system. Steps to Address the Issue 👉 Scan for Trouble Codes: Use an OBD-II scanner to check for any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). This will help you determine if there are any issues with the O2 sensor or other components that might be affecting the ESP system. 👉 Inspect the O2 Sensor: If the OBD-II scan indicates an issue with the O2 sensor, inspect and, if necessary, replace the faulty sensor. 👉 Check Engine Performance: Address any engine performance issues that could be indirectly affecting the ESP system. Ensure the engine runs smoothly and efficiently. 👉 Inspect the ESP System: Check the components of the ESP system, including wheel speed sensors, steering angle sensors, and yaw rate sensors. Look for any fault codes related to these components and address them. 👉 Reset the ECU: After fixing any identified issues, reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for about 10-15 minutes. Reconnect the battery and see if the ESP light remains on. 👉 Consult a Professional: If the ESP light remains on despite addressing any O2 sensor issues and performing the above checks, consult a professional mechanic. They can perform a more thorough diagnostic to identify and fix the root cause. While a bad O2 sensor is not a typical direct cause for the ESP light to come on, addressing any sensor issues and related engine performance problems can help ensure the ESP system functions correctly.

Here’s a step-by-step approach to troubleshoot and resolve this issue: ✅ Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Guide 👉Re-scan for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs): Connect your OBD-II scanner again to check for any new or existing codes related to both the engine and the ESP system. 👉 Inspect the O2 Sensors: Recheck the O2 sensors you cleaned. Cleaning them may not be sufficient if they are faulty or damaged. Consider replacing the sensors if they are still causing issues. 👉 Check Electrical Connections: Inspect the wiring and connectors for the O2 sensors to ensure they are properly connected and not damaged. Faulty connections can cause intermittent issues. 👉 Clear the Codes and Reset the ECU: After making sure everything is correctly connected, clear any codes with the OBD-II scanner and reset the ECU. This can sometimes resolve the ESP light if it was triggered by the initial fault codes. 👉 Perform a Test Drive: Take the car for a test drive to see if the ESP light reappears. Pay attention to any unusual behavior from the engine or the ESP system. 👉 Check Wheel Speed Sensors and Other ESP Components: Inspect the wheel speed sensors, as they are crucial for the ESP system. Make sure they are clean and properly connected. Look for any physical damage or debris on the sensors and the areas around them. 👉 Verify Battery and Ground Connections: Ensure the battery connections are clean and tight. Poor battery connections can cause various electrical issues, including ESP faults. Check the vehicle’s ground connections as well. 👉 Consult the Owner’s Manual: Refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual for any specific procedures or additional steps recommended for dealing with the ESP system and sensor issues. 👉 Seek Professional Help: If the ESP light persists after addressing the O2 sensors and performing these checks, consult a professional mechanic. There might be a more complex issue requiring specialized diagnostic tools and expertise. ✅ Additional Notes 👉 Interconnected Systems: Modern vehicles have interconnected systems where a fault in one can sometimes affect others. The ESP system relies heavily on accurate data from various sensors, including those monitoring engine performance. 👉 Preventive Maintenance: Regular maintenance and prompt attention to check engine lights can prevent cascading issues affecting multiple systems. By following these steps, you can systematically identify and address the issues causing the ESP light to come on after dealing with the O2 sensor codes.

@guardianangel939 *Electronic Stability Programme The ESC system is in place to help you avoid losing control of the vehicle, but it cannot do everything. If the light is flashing when you are driving, it is important to be careful. Slow down so that the car is easier to control in slippery conditions. If the light is static and indicates a fault, then you should have it inspected by a mechanic as soon as possible. While it is still safe to drive in normal conditions with this light on, you should be extremely careful in slippery conditions if there is a fault with your ESC system. Hope it is helpful for you. Thanks for watching!

When it is lightning, it means it is on or off? 😢
@Dashboardwarninglights
@Dashboardwarninglights 6 ай бұрын
@Kazimaskari7213 The esp light means that there is a problem with the electronic skid protection. The lightning bolt means that the computer has sensed a problem and has a code stored in it that can be looked up. If you have no luck with free service at a dealer for a recall then you can take the car to a major auto parts store and see if they can check it for you for free (most do). IT can be something simple or something complex. You might be looking at a sensor like a TPS or ABS.

@kenfreestyle1 Change small battery and check BSG on minus pole of big battery... For the ESP: your ring (toothed metal, where sensor takes signal from) maybe corroded on the left side....Check ECU PIN's for corrosion... Also Clean the ring from where the sensor reads.... The problem is either on the wiring between SBC and ESP (grey yellow wire from pin 30 SBC to pin 10 ESP), or the ESP controller needs repair/replace.
