Five Parks Yoga w/ Erin Sampson

This 25 minute yoga class focuses on postures that strengthen muscles along the spine, and stretch the shoulders and the chest. Postures include heart melting, spinal balance, cobra, locust with chest expansion, warrior 3, reverse table and plank, cow face, modified wild thing, supported fish. Throughout the entire yoga class, modifications are offered and there is instruction for the use of props to take your practice deeper. I loved teaching this class as upper body opening and good posture has been a struggle for me. I hope you enjoy.

Holy Crikey. I was *not* expecting that. I often search for 'yoga classes for better posture' and am usually disappointed because they often end up being not so focussed. That was great!

I had so much pressure in my neck from my bad posture, that supported fish is quickly becoming my fav. pose

Beginner level with a lot of explanation. The sit-up straight pose at the beginning of the class is the hardest but simplest pose. Lots of chest expansions!

Been practicing this video for quite some time already. Before I couldn't do cow face pose on my left side, but as I consistently practice this, eventually I was able to do it. I do really feel my body align and loosen up with your online classes. Thank you for this, Erin! Sending love and light all the way from sunny Philippines!

What. A. Perfect. Class!!!! I loved it so much, this was an addition this morning for me after a super 30' Forrest Yoga class. Thank you Erin, your classes are lifesavers. This was such a perfect class for me today! I just returned from an extremely long overseas flight journey 5 days ago, and needless to say all that sitting in a cramped space really took a toll on my body. I have been doing yoga, and also my regular workouts this week, but this practice in particular has really made my back and shoulders feel so much better. I also did Erin's Strength and Stretch for Hips and Butt right after this one, and that was an awesome class as well! I feel really great now, with both upper and lower body strengthened and stretched out. Wow, I needed that! Thanks Erin:) Namaste

Erin, would you ever consider doing online yoga teacher training (with monthly payments)? I absolutely love your KZbin channel and your style of yoga and how great of a teacher you are I've been following you for quite some time now and it would be awesome if that was an option! I've wanted to do teacher training for years now but its hard to fit my schedule into going to a studio and or traveling, why not do it from home with my favorite instructor! :)

Oh wow, that was just what the doctor ordered. Since last night I've been having horrible upper back pain from sitting poorly. Now it's melted away! I know this is an older video but if you read this and would consider doing more posture routines I would be very grateful. You have a gift!
