I choose to wake up again tomorrow. I suffer from mental illness where eating disorder also exists but I can happily say that yoga has never become anything I've done forcefully. I was once in a race, a kid from a bus yelled where are you from? I told him, and then he said "well, in that case, why are you running so slowly?" and the bus kept moving 😃😃 So yeah, whatever, as long as we're doing the best we can, it really doesn't matter how 'fast' or how 'slow' we are 😁

Katie, that idiot's the definition of weak-willed and lazy, finding comfort in belittling others rather than becoming a better version of themselves every day. Simply by going out to run, you ended up becoming a better version of yourself compared to yesterday. Take comfort in that! More power to you!

I haven't gone for a run in such a long time... The second half of 2020 passed without a single run... Lately I've been feeling super down, too, and today I mustered enough courage and went for a 25 min easy run. Came home and did this practice, and I feel so relieved, so good, so proud of myself, like a heavy wall just went down and my heart lifted... I choose to own my life. Thank you always ♥

Doing this video today after breaking my marathon PB by 5 minutes. I've improved in a lot of areas over the last 2 years, but the addition of a daily yoga practice for the last 14 months has certainly been one of the best changes I have made - not just for performance, but for injury prevention and health. Thank you for posting this! I'd like to specifically thank you for including the mindfulness portion. Those small moments of "I choose" were really nice. A lot of joint pain can actually worsen with yoga. I have a EDS type 3, long story short I chronically dislocate my hips, wrists, knees, shouldees ect. Yoga would worsen this and cause looser joints. What does help is strength training joints that hurt. I would suggest Pilates and carpal tunnel exercises. Those will strengthen and lessen pain THEN do yoga to relax or stretch your joints (if ypure not like me lol)

I don't know about the other joints, but Adriene has a great little practice for wrist pain, you can find it if you type it to youtube search
