Adriene's practice is timeless. This was filmed almost 7 years ago but she still looks amazing and has that great sense of humor that makes me smile even in the most challenging poses. She knows exactly where we're putting pressure, tells us to adjust, and how we feel when our heart is beating fast after all the shaking! Love this practice! Thank you!

Absolutely loved this video. Super challenging, but so so good for connecting with the breath and core! Those fire hydrant type poses really activated my whole abdomen 👏 Adriene’s sense of humor has always been a favorite, but this one really leans in to the silly vibe, while also being super focused! Blessed Beloved Beauties! Root Day - 29 was completed this morning at 2:30 A.M. EST. The assigned session was substituted for "Yoga for Self-care." My disciplined military schedule that my late Father required during my childhood have been non-existence since the end of March when my work schedule changed. Frequently, when a shift occurs in my schedule, I have been known to become anxious. I have been stressed about the unknown. I know better than to stress as a yogi, yet sometimes I permit the ego to take charge as opposed to my spirit. Since my days have been running together, I have had a faint headache due to a lack of sleep. Thankfully, I decided to check in and take care of myself at this awkward hour. With that being said, I anticipate having a meditation 🧘🏾♀️ before I finally get some rest and write in my journal to free my mind from excessive thoughts in order to rest easy. Meditation aids in mental health, and it's a conversation that needs to be discussed more frequently. The YWA community is a safe place, so I decided to be completely transparent. Hopefully, my long, detailed message will help someone else. Best wishes, everyone! 🦋♥️ 🦋 P.s. Yoga continues to curve anxiety! Ase, Ase, Ase!

Trust Day 20: I woke up with a sore right hip and when I saw that today's session is for my butt and thighs I thought this could really hurt, or maybe it will stretch out my hip and help me feel better. Fortunately the latter was true. The pain is gone! This session was challenging, but I'm not going to complain since it got rid of the pain I was feeling.

ROOT 🌳 | April 29, 2023 | Wow another oldie returns to the Root calendar! It's been a minute since we sweated with Adriene and the geese through this practice! I found it a bit of a challenge through the airplane/warrior III sequence so I modified a bit, and I miss a cooldown after all that legwork so added my own with some pigeons and hamstring stretches. I do wonder how wise it was of me to do this one today as I have a full day of work travel tomorrow with lots of airport hustle, I'm sure I'll be feeling this tomorrow! 🙏

Dear Adriene, I have been watching and doing yoga along with your KZbin show for over a year now. I lived in an ashram when I was 17 and we did Kundalini Yoga. Twelve years of Catholic school could not come close to what yoga did for me. The years went by and I drifted away from yoga. Then I found your show. I just want to thank you for what you give to millions of people around the world. I feel that though you are not there with me, you are there, teaching me, encouraging me and challenging me. I live in an isolated mountain town. I find myself lonely much of the time. But doing yoga with you has taught me that I am not alone. In some metaphysical way, I feel you are present with me. You radiate joy and hope and what I have searching for all my life---the higher ground. There is another funny thing I thought I could share. When I was 12, I visited my Aunt Rita in Austen, Texas. She was a college librarian. To entertain me, she asked her friend to introduce me to a little girl about my age, named Adrienne. I know that you are not that girl, but I found the coincidence interesting. Adrienne took me swimming at this wonderful place called Barton Springs. You are a fantastic teacher. Today, I found I was lost in the poses, I had lost control of my breath and integrity. I’m usually strong and flexible enough that I can do the full expression, but I’ve been out of practice, and was struggling. I’m very self-conscious, but today, alone in my yoga room, I ripped off my shirt as I was sweating in high lunge, and my hands against my naked body, my belly and ribs, helped me remember my foundation, my core, and why I do yoga. I just breathed. It was a very nice experience, and I think I will try it again, and use it to build a better relationship with my body. I always come away from Adriene’s practices having learned something, and in this I learned that backing off to focus on the integrity is everything. You are my hero, Adriene. Even from way back when, you’ve worked so hard to present us with the tools to help ourselves. Thank you, love always from Michigan. Namaste

i dont do sports that much and i am super lazy and find excuses, but ive been sticking with yoga since the beginning of the year when ,,breath" started. i would say over these months i missed maybe about 20 days in total and i am so proud of myself. todays practice was hard for me and i think i could only do it because its you who i am practicing with, adriene. thank you so much. i feel so proud after doing yoga and its so amazing. i cant even believe i just did it.

I Do remember doing this practice many years ago , but I was younger, fitter. As you Should know, I've got advanced stage cirrhosis of the liver right now, and my whole life is on hold . So these practices , you and Benji help give me a reason to live . Whooooa , I know that's deeply. But I love ya. Love the backdrop too , cute little duckies . Wonder what Benji would do , lol . Adriene, yoga is so fun and accessible with you. I've been to yoga classes where instructors don't understand that it needs to 'feel good' and I've gained injuries being forced into positions that don't feel right/I'm not ready for. Your videos are better than any yoga class! Thank you!

Did this practice today after suffering from delayed onset muscle soreness all day yesterday (trying to get back into an exercise routine & my glutes were not happy lol) and the bit of heat that came with this & Adriene's light-hearted encouragement helped me get through the shakes! Love the old practices as much as the new ones, this was really nice to see you leading practice outside in the natural environment, Adriene! Made me wish I could be there with you... Not to mention the end of the video with the wildlife made me smile, thank you for always bringing us fun & positivity, it is appreciated more than you may know!!

Great video Adriene! I have developed some hip bone and thighs bone pain and been searching for exercises to relieve the pain as well as keep doing my yoga practices. This and the other knee exercises are very helpful. Thank you very much!

Found this video as I wait for my friend who practices on the other side of the country to catch up with me in the new Home journey. I can’t believe how good it was mentally to see that sun and sky and green and imagine feeling warmth on my skin! Apparently that’s just what I needed in these cold, dry, and polluted sky days in Salt Lake City, UT!
