OMG! Today for the first time ever I stepped into a lunge without guiding my foot forward!!! I have no confidence when doing yoga because I know my poses and transitions are terrible. But I show up on my mat every single day hoping with time and practice I will get better! And today I did something, something small but it was something, thank you so much Adriene and the rest of the YWA family!

Mine was awesome too!! I loved the reminder to lift the hips up when we bend the knees to transition from downward dog to forward fold, it really changed the ease with which I was able to move to the top of my mat. So, big discovery today!

Thirty-five minutes, oh no. Don't worry, just GO! Seriously, this is a nice practice so do not let the length scare you off. I felt the second half went rather quickly. But more importantly than that, this one has never failed to leave me feeling good and ready for the day. Meditate day 18. 775 days in a row.

I wanted to quit this practice as soon as I started but I made myself stick through it and I loved it. I had my birthday yesterday and I wish I did yoga on my birthday too . My day was filled with sadness and depression but towards the end of the night I felt much better . So here I am promising myself to not leave out any practice. Thank you Adriene.

I've just been diagnosed with a hormonal disorder and that has been changing my perspective on a lot of things. And with the lockdown I find it so incredibly hard to not freak out about it too much, without any distractions from normal life. During this practice, I overheard some bad news from the other room about my dishwasher: we don't know when they will replace it, which is stressful because we have family in town this weekend. Instead of pausing the video to insert myself into the drama, I decided to stick with this practice. I was able to put the dishwasher debacle (mostly) out of my mind until the end and feel like I'll be able to avoid freaking out now that the session is over and I'm feeling stretchy and good. I usually stress over irritations like this that I can't control, so this is a big deal for me. Thank you as always, Adriene and Benji!

Starting the video, I felt really tight and struggled to keep a slow breath in child pose, then, in the end when Adrien said: "We're back where we started, back to 1", it hit me, child pose felt soooo relieving and my mood was lifted!!! I have been following the March 2021 Move calendar but seem to have 'moved around' quite a bit, taking more restorative practices from the calendar, as that is what my body has needed. Consequently I haven't posted very much either! This week, I seem to be more on course, repeating Rainbow Yoga yesterday. Today's practice was quite challenging yet needed. I managed a controlled side plank, each side, for no more than a couple of seconds and went on to my back during dolphin to do some gentle upper body stretches. I always release something so heavy when I decide to show up and join this practice with you. The tears always accumulate and flow for a few seconds! It's so amazing to see myself so moved from just breaking up stagnant energy & getting into the flow!! Expand Day 13: I love the idea of shifting perspective. These days it's so easy to communicate with like-minded people on social media, but what happens when there are others who come from a very different perspective? I've found that when I listen to the other side (preferably face to face) not to win an argument but to gain understanding of the other person's point of view, I can connect with that person and learn. We often find that we have much in common, even if we don't agree on everything. I can understand where the other person is coming from, even if I don't agree, and I can appreciate the other person's opinion. This might not work all the time, but it often can be helpful.

Happy Sunday guys. It's a beautiful day in the UK; the sun is shining, clear blue skies, it's wonderful. I approached this practice with a sense of relief. I wanted to get back into my daily practice but I had headaches throughout it and I couldn't do most of the poses, but I showed up. I really believe that that is the most difficult part. I think this may be good for you Laura, slow, kind, low to the ground, super stretchy, mindful, safe and with a great connection with Adriene for both mind and body. I am so grateful and encouraged by some of the changes in my 70 year old body using your videos. I had neck surgery 17 years ago (with a rod and 2 fused discs) because of spinal cord compression. Since then I have used lots of different treatments and therapies all of which have helped some but when I stumbled on Yoga with Adriene about six weeks ago, I felt I was able to integrate a lot of what I already knew about my body into a practice that was helping build some strength and release some of the long held fascial tightness in places I hadn’t even been aware of. Heartfelt thanks!

So the clocks have gone forward 1 hour but since this was last on the calendar, the year has gone forward to 2020 and we as a planet are in a different and more challenging place. Yes, yes, yes. Yoga with Adriene is consistently one of the best parts of my days while social distancing and home with my two young kids. I devoted a longer time than usual today to do this practice and it was worth it!

This practice was perfect! After 2 weeks of cloudy, gloomy weather, I was finally able to practice with that soft morning sun shining through my window again. I found ease and fun in the movements and transitions, I breathed in tons of opportunities and breathed out lots of things, mental blocks, that were holding me back. I am grateful and feeling playful🤪 Thank you Adriene for this gift and thank you, wonderful community, for keeping me inspired. Sending love to our journeys, both together and apart🙏💕

My battery died during that very last extended child’s pose so I just ended up chilling out there a little longer and then doing some poses that I felt like doing. It might be bad for your battery to let it go all the way to zero but it was a very interesting experience to have to get myself to end the practice :)

This is the epiphany that I had during this difficult yoga practice this morning. Thank you Adrienne for everything you do! A reminder to me: Open yourself to new possibilities...Breathe. Keep going.,, Know that you are going to want to give up, because you are making mistakes, but DON'T GIVE UP!...Breathe. Keep going... Listen to the advice more closely the second time around, and make adjustments if needed...Breathe. Keep going...Focus...Breathe. Keep going...Think about your Foundation and the support It gives you...Breathe. Keep going...Along the way, celebrate the little accomplishments...Breathe. Keep going...You may need to try again and again...Breathe. Keep going...Remember it is PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION...Breathe. Keep going...Repeat!

Lately those lunges and warrior poses have been particularly difficult for me!! But today I found a greater ease and power. Powering through the hard days is so worth it! There's so much transformation to come each and every day. I have loved seeing so many parallels of the careful movements in yoga with what I can do in my daily life. Thank you!

This week has been one... Yesterday marked one week since my father-in-law died, less than a year from his beloved wife and my mother-in-law did also. Today marks a decade since my grandpa Carl, my namesake, died during a year I also lost two grandmas and an uncle. Loss. Grief. Pain and pondering. I don't know what changed perspective I've gained exactly, other than this is all part of life, and I choose to keep living, learning, and loving. Thank you, Adriene, for giving me a reason to keep getting out of bed each day - today's a beautiful one to be alive for 💚🙏
