I'm on my feet for 12 hour shifts on hard floors, and lately my toes have been really aching. I found this video and Wow! I can honestly say doing this daily is making a big difference for my achy tired feet! Thank you!

I never write comments on KZbin videos, but I have to here to give you my immense gratitude! I was two days out from starting a 9 day hike (poon hill plus ABC in Nepal) I'd planned for ages and my foot arch started playing up. This could NOT happen, so I searched, found this video, and started doing it daily. The relief and change was transformative. I downloaded the video so I could bring it on the trail (no internet) and did it every morning first thing. No pain. I was lazy and skipped the exercises one day and within an hour was getting achy. 🙃 Learned that lesson and haven't skipped since. Thanks so much, you absolutely saved my hike, and I'll keep this habit up just in normal life.

I run long distances on challenging terrains, so naturally my feet get battered quite regularly. I have been doing this sequence as rehab for my feet for last two weeks and it really helped with feet pain. Thanks a lot.

I totally agree, that's why I've tried to make so many 10-minute practices because I know they're easier to stick with! Often times pain management practices need a bit of repetition for the body to get used to it, so it's much more effective to do a 10-minute practice regularly than a longer practice once in a while.

Thank you for sharing this video. I have hypermobile joints and regularly experience immense pain and cramp in my toes and calves. I can easily lift my toes but they don't bend under which makes it difficult to balance or do certain yoga poses. I'm going to try your suggested foot exercises for a few weeks.

Getting back to your yoga after spending 3 months in bed in hospital last summer. My muscle reconditioning program has advanced such that I can now explore remaining aches. Your videos for knee pain, foot pain, low back reset, si joint pain and hamstring have been very helpful so far. Adhesive capsulitis in left shoulder is also a factor (no dowward dog yet).. I will keep exploring!

My daughters foot was injured in gymnastics. After being unable to do regular yoga I searched for something that could target the tightness and soreness in her foot. I am happy to report she feels relief and looseness in her foot. We will do this several more times to promote healing for her.

I’m going on a trip to Italy in about a month and I’m terrified of having agonizing feet pain like I’ve had before on a trip where we did a lot of walking. I’m going to watch this video as much as I can to try and strengthen my feet to help alleviate some issues! (Along with building up my walking stamina). The final stretch, where you bring your foot up beside your hip while sitting, is there a modification if you are unable to have your foot with with the top flat on the floor?

Hi Vickie, if that's not comfortable you could lessen the angle of the stretch by leaning back and supporting yourself with your hands, then placing the top of the toes/foot against the mat and playing around to see how the stretch feels. That way you're still stretching the top of the foot, but without the "weight" of the leg in such extreme flexion. I hope that helps!
