The small white things in potting soil is perlite. It's a volcanic rock that is very good at absorbing and slowly releasing fluid. They heat it first and from the water inside it starts expanding and creating a porous ball which doesn't shrink when it cools again. So in the case of potting soil it helps to absorb water and then later slowly release it to the plants. And because it's so porous it also helps to keep the soil aerated. Perlite is also a popular soil medium in hydroponics along with rockwool and clay pellets who have the similar aspects of begin porous and also absorbing and later slowly releasing water.

The brilliant part about comic book based movies is that the screenplays are all but written already, complete with storyboards, whereas video game themed film relies more heavily upon writers who (may or may not be) on strike at the moment 🤔

There need to be more movies and series that create an original plot within a game's universe instead of recreating the original plot with a bad script/bad acting/bad pacing. I would love a Fallout series as long as it came up with its own characters and didn't shoehorn in characters only to fuck them up as some kind of half baked fan service. Treat the events of the games as canon and expand on them, don't try and rewrite it to drag out every little arc.

Film adaptations for books make sense, you get to experience the story again with visuals and sound, but for games where you already have that stuff, I agree creating something new is a must. And a director can still easily miss the point and fuck up a book adaptation. Creating something new would probably require close collaboration with the game devs, who know more about the lore and themes than a dusty director who may or may not have even played the game(s). I reckon that's why game movies are so hard to make good, at least for now. Once film directors from the gaming generations get a hold of these beloved IPs, I think they'll give them the proper treatment, but for now Hollywood may just be a bit too out of touch to make good stuff from gaming franchises. But I'm happy to be proved wrong.

Something I love about the Mandalorian is that he's not savior of the Galaxy or whatever. "side character" stories are criminally underrated IMO, and if they are making a Fallout series, they should write an original story in the game's universe, don't just rehash the story of one of the games on screen.

If Eastern Europe hadn't joined NATO they would have been invaded, annexed or puppeted by Russia at this point. NATO didn't expand with intent to expand, EE nations asked to join out of fear of aggression from Russia. Ukraine was a fence sitter and they paid the price.

Regarding the googling thing Sips was talking about, is it like googling "does dirt cure x" and of course there will be a some results that will say yes, but it will be less likely to come up with ones results saying the bad effects, as "Cure" is the keyword not "Causes" or "Bad effects", and vice versa, if you google "Does vaccines cause X" you aren't likely to get result for "Curing X" youves asked a leading question effectively and google wants to say" Yes, here are all the results". Also, Love the content guys

Arcane isn't like the game, but there are certain things that you can see from the game. You can tell which characters are which. The lore behind the game is brought to life in the series. Caitlyn's traps in game have cupcakes in them... well now we know why, Vi calls her cupcake. Jinx has always been kinda nuts in the game, her voice lines etc. You see her development and why she is the way she is and how she created her chompers, where Viktor, Jayce, and Vi got their weapons and how. How singed started out and where his fascination with poisons came from. So while it is nothing like the game itself, there's definitely 'easter eggs' from the game, as well as the lore that the devs put behind their characters (before a series was even in their eyeline) coming to life on screen.

funnily enough, the newest halo game was the first game I've instantly replayed in a long time. the gameplay was the most fun I've had since the original halo released. the story is very poorly written and was obviously massively cut to release the game sooner (thank god), but I think with the right writers and a healthy amount of retcon it could become as interesting as it was in the original games. they've already tried making a movie and a show I believe, which both bombed, but despite that I still see potential in the halo cinematic universe.

A lot of liquid nerve agents need to be on the skin for long periods of time before they actually absorb through the skin. Ur skin is a great chemical barrier that gives you a good period of time before you need to act. The main concern is to protect any openings into ur body. Mouth, nose, eyes, etc.

He had a few cups of liquid fluoride soak soak into the fabric of his pants….after a few hrs exposure he formed a mild rash which cleared up after his regular bathing routine….but within a few weeks his hip inexplicably broke while useing stairs. When they X-rayed him at the hospital they said his hip bone shattered like glass. It took a fair amount of time for them to actually connect the dots between the exposure and the bone degradation. It was one of the weirdest stories they reviewed in my training…..I recall a paragraph about surgeons removing gravel like debris of the remaining bone….testing that debris is how they realized the bone decayed through chemical processes

On another note skin really is a good barrier material…. Leather gloves especially coated/treated ones are still often the recommended glove by health an safety programs. They offer the best all purpose protection vs cost ratio 99% of the time

@@billdagrasshawking oh of course. I do not know what the firefighter got on him, but an extremely concentrated solution of sodium flouride could cause this if it can breach the skin. (Which it could because sodium fluoride is basic, but I would think he'd notice it, strong basis would soaponify skin) Small amounts of flouride are good because it neutralizes acids and forms fluoroapatite on your teeth (which does take calcium and phosphates from the teeth) Thats why its used in toothpaste.
