@@seppukumouse8005 I think that maybe the "Dead-puty" role would be interesting if they revived and took over the Detective's role, which only worked if they had died BEFORE the Detective got killed (in contrast the the regular Deputy who only becomes the Detective if they're still alive when the Detective dies). Essentially their goal is to try and be a target to expose the traitors early or body shield the Detective from attack, and it introduces an opportunity for body stealing or reviving shenanigans to stop that or even change their alliance before killing the Detective if the traitors find out they're dead, since it could even be a tactic for the Detective to kill them on purpose. So, of course the Dead-puty buy menu should just be the Dead Ringer, Uno Reverse, and other things that make them survive longer so that they still get to do SOMEthing tactical if the Detective gets killed immediately, and it's all themes around them coming back from or evading death. Also, the Mud Scientist should get a Defib to raise a character as the Dead-puty role, just so that Osie can carry out her dreams.

IIRC it was basically bought in as an anti-camping tool, since without it, the innocents could just hide in a room. That and to fix the many, many 'Zoe Incidents' aka Zoe somehow, through no fault of her own, glitches into the void/outside the map and thus is unkillable.

I think the Renegade should appear to the Traitors like the Glitch. They could just kill the Renegade from the start of the round basically for free. It would add an additional layer of mind games like the Glitch already does. So the Renegade could be like a Glitch and a Clown.

the renegade role is really good. it's like a combination of the drunk and the clown, except it removes the problem of the clown that they don't really have much to do for most of the round, and might just get killed halfway through with no way to defend themselves, and it removes the problem of the drunk that they are pretty much aimless for most of the round, since they don't know what their win condition is going to be. i hope that the renegade continues to be used in the future

The Renegade is basically a clown that can do damage. When they were describing it, I thought they wanted the traitors to kill the innocents, then they would kill the traitors to be the last one alive. But at 8:05, the renegade if fighting against the last innocent. So I guess it's more of a neutral glitch that doesn't have to pretend to be a traitor.

It's sorta akin to drunk won't sober up due to time passing. The player can kill anyone, and like when Duncan plays drunk has an active interest in keeping things balanced until the end. The fact that they know who the traitors are, though, makes it much more viable than the usual "drunk trying to kill both sides", and gets rid of the "Traitors kill the drunk, not knowing they were drunk and helping" issue. IIRC, they had the serial killer role that used to fill this niche(like... 8 years ago), but it seems to work a lot better now than it did back then.

I think there should be some sort of minor debuff applied if the traitors/renegade kill one another before the innocents are wiped out to encourage cooperation. Like a chat message publicly revealing that a traitor has killed the renegade or vice versa. Otherwise I feel like the meta is immediately gonna evolve into the traitors killing the renegade as fast as possible.

That just... motivates call outs? Traitors, if they both/all survive are going to have weapons to take out the lone renegade. If the renegade cannot inconvenience the traitors until the end, it can be treated as a known clown and ignored. But if the renegade can only kill innocents, I as a traitor would call them out as a traitor, confident they can't hurt me. Meanwhile, the renegade isn't going to want to do the traitor's job for them, because then they might get offed by innocents early, or get hurt before they fight the traitors. At least if they can take out traitors, they can pretend to be good or pick off people. If they can't, then they have to find alternate avenues to even the odds, such as callouts(but then the traitors can call the renegade out).

Yeah, the stated intent would be "they can kill innocents for you deniably" but with credits being based on time instead of kills, the renegade is incentivised to kill the traitors first.

The new role is lots of fun, it's sort of like a ready to eat Drunk role. You're able to betray anyone at any time however you choose, but since it's up to you it's not OP because you still can't trust others to trust you, nor can you guarantee you make the right calls.

I have a suggestion for the Renegade role. There's a card game called BANG! that also has a renegade role. It has the same objective as TTT's renegade but the "traitors" (outlaws in the game) don't know who it is and the Renegade loses if the "Detective" (sheriff in the game) dies. Maybe a similar change could work for this game except the renegade loses if all the traitors die so it's as if they're a third traitor but they have no incentive to kill a traitor early. If they do, it's a risk they're taking because the other traitor could die before the last innocent. This way the alliance with traitors is a bit more substantial (at least for the renegade).

I think some strats for dealing with the renegade would be saying they are attacking you and taking them out if there is a detective available, for traitors obviously and when at max there is double the innocents of traitors. If the detective is dead think stealth killing the renegade is the only option. As for innocents I am still unsure

What if the drunk could also see traitors like the renegade, since killing them would mean they join the traitors so they have reason not to out them, but are a threat to the traitors if they join the innocents. If the traitors also know who the drunk is, they would need to choose if they want to kill their potential insurance in case they die, or not risk them becoming innocent and outing them.

Came up with the idea for a Holy Role pack with three detective types as its core: Paladin, Cleric, and Guardian Angel The cleric has a healing aura like the Paladin (but no explosive immunity, so a Paladin can pretend to be a Cleric and vice versa), has primarily healing items in their shops but their main draw is a Revivify like a D&D Cleric - a Paramedic's Defib the other Detective type (or could be a Brown Role) would be a Guardian Angel - similar in function to the Medium + the Marshall, the Guardian Angel chooses someone to Bless. The Guardian Angel is notified when the Blessed player dies and the body automatically calls the Detective. If the Guardian Angel dies while the Blessed player is alive, they "haunt" the player they blessed and watch their POV, while haunting the player's health slowly regenerates and if the Blessed player dies the Guardian Angel respawns (the downside being they have to be sure they bless someone good, otherwise they're helping the baddies)

If punishing is going to stay, it should be a vote that everyone has a say in, but also, it should always happen the following round. You don't know that you're punishing someone for RDMing if you don't know their role. It is always possible they intentionally killed someone that they knew was bad like in the case of the renegade, which is an awesome new role I would love to see more of without them constantly being punished for playing their role
