Its really cool and interesting to hear Lewis' perspective and memories on past events. Especially on stuff they felt they couldn't really talk about back then. Also hilarious though as to some of the stuff he and Duncan have no memory of yet us as fans could probably recount accurately instantly lol. I would totally be up for a Yogscast History podcast with Lewis and a different member of the Yogs each week (starting with Simon) and going back in time talking about how they first met, first impressions, first meeting irl, conventions, awkward moments, and just generally some of the stuff from Yogs history that was never really explained or talked about for whatever reason!

FYI, I would know who you are. My favourite Yogscast video is Minecraft Original Survival #10 - when Simon sets the Yogcave on fire and you scold him for blowing up. My 2nd favourite is #4 on Survival Island when a creeper almost blows you up and Simon offers you tea. I used that video to explain that men can also be nurturing, loving and kind to one another, as well as kind of being jerks. My 3rd favourite is #4 in the MOS: Pig Island. (I don't know why.) My 4th favourite is the Four Towers video where Simon dances and falls off the edge. My 5th is that Christmas map where the two of you mock the ESL mapmaker (which is cruel but it's so funny I cannot help myself.) My 6th favourite is harder to choose, but likely I'd choose the Planetoids videos, as a whole, even though you are both rather grumpy about playing it. My seventh favourite is every Yogpod which we listened to every night when we were living a tent for 10 months when we first moved to our farm. (We had to download them at the library and charged our cel in the car because we had no electricity.) I was introduced to Yogscast and Minecraft by my son who was laughing so hard I asked him what he was watching and we spent a very happy Sunday watching MOS from Surviving the First Night. We eventually converted his dad to Yog fandom,. Hubby and I still watch and listen, though our son (now grown) has moved on. I am surprised people you meet cannot answer your question, Lewis. :) We live in a town now, so I rewatch everything regularly (including Jinglecats every year), especially when I need cheering up or something pleasant in the background while I'm crafting. Many thanks for years of entertainment.

It was a real pleasure hearing about the early days and remembering parts of the last 10 years. Very nostalgic and cool. And yes, Lewis needs to write a book about all this with lots of pictures and fan’s thoughts. A real Yogscast history book of sorts.

I am watching you guys today because I went to Gamescom on that day. Lots of "firsts" on that day. - first time in Köln. - my first TI without knowing that The International was. - first time seeing Simon and Lewis without knowing who you guys are. Only went there because a friends little brother started playing Minecraft, that friend told us to try it. I am almost exclusively watching non-German content on KZbin. Not even sure if I can list three German youtube creators without looking at the front page in Incognito mode.

I've never met any of the Yogs, if I do I'd be happy to talk & get to know them. Outside of their channels & content I don't really know much about them. Although I am a fan, I never really look into someone outside of their channel & work. Though this would require either them being in Aus & somewhere I would be able to go to meet them OR me somehow having the spare money & time to go overseas. And me actually taking time off & my first holiday in decades lol

I went to Las Vegas for an Everquest convention thrown by SonyEQ. I am fine if I never go back to Vegas ever again. It's grimy and the people walking down the street just lost all their money and look desperate and there are little asian kids handing out flyers advertizing "escorts." I enjoyed the player event and brought a defined amount of limited money I expected to lose gambling which I did. But the city and the strip and the whole place just covers you in a grime of sleaze. The best thing about Vegas was a side trip out to tour Hoover Dam. Want to see Vegas, watch a travel video and stay away from it. It is the spray cheese of tourist destinations.

the Las Vegas Hilton has (or had) Star Trek attractions including a small museum of props from the original "Desilu" TV show. TV wasn't recorded in hi def back then and it was a bit shocking to see that the phasers and communicators were just blocks of wood painted black with bits of metal tacked to them. Because you were never going to get a good look at them so it was good enough. Presumably they had nicer ones if there was ever going to be a closeup shot of someone's hand holding one but those were not on display at the LV Hilton :)

I really hope that they end up checking the comments. To put it in perspective of how poorly this will go for them: I have a population of 525 in just my main colony. I have flags down that draw a fair amount of heat from my outposts. My main colony has a threat of 352, and I'm about to get firearms. Duncan has a threat of 305 with 256 colonists. You have to pick up the lockboxes. Only use them during the day when zombies aren't around. Each night, the game will see what your threat is and spawn zombies with X HP. The more threat, the more total HP is spawned. Also, just now using crossbows was terrible. I have plenty of additional crafters in my outposts (it seems to be that the threat:HP is non-linear - 100 threat = 100k hp, 300 threat = 700k HP [example numbers]) assisting with crafting each ingredient for ammo - copper mining, copper smelting, foresters, charcoal burners, fletchers. Crossbows will do far more damage copper ingot than with what you get from arrows. By staying with bows for so long, they have inflated how many people they need to make ammo to the point where adding more colonists actually made it harder. I don't want to backseat game, but these boxes are literally killing you. Pick them up, and invest heavy in crossbows right now. Get multiple outposts set up for each biome - you will need all of them throughout the game. EDIT: Also some trappers. Those are pretty good with how much damage you can do per colonist. You can have three sappers managing dozens of traps, then disable them at night as they only reload traps during the day. You can turn them into extra guards using the manage jobs menu. Just drag the slider down and reallocate in to the guards. Just remember that you won't be around to manage this if youre in a new outpost

this is what happens when u build your maze to long, duncan and Ravs gets nommed during the day, there go to strat of maze is best is realy faling them hard here :D lol Have 2 entrances to your base with less mazing and spread out your guards you will use alot less ammo and clear mobs out better. When you cluster your guards together they like to over kill the same unit with like 7 arrows to many :P and having one entrance causes all the zombies to cluster up in a huge chunk which is hard to handle when they bundle like that whiuch also helps via spreading guards out to chip away at the zombies before they get to m,ain entrance/entrances

I admire how much Lewis is interested in the AI art topic, but not being well educated in the arts does skew his perspective a bit. It's still a long time till we get an AI that gives your exactly what you want, instead of just something close to what you want. It's a fantastic tool for getting ideas going! I've used AI generated art for inspiration before, but right now all AI art is doing is plagiarising artists. Real artists aren't going anywhere.
