@@GorVala I can't find any reference to this. They use chopsticks to transfer the bone fragments of cremated remains into the funerary urn (rather than grinding them into powder as is the western custom), but I can't find anything about bone chopsticks of any kind, much less human femurs.

yeah, basically if the set of dice is just a bunch of d6's, it's almost certainly being made as a gambling set/collectable. if it includes your various polyhedral dice that you use in dnd then you can assume its being made with gambling in mind.

Well it's probably easier to get the walrus bones legally so that's removing some of the cost, but if you're only using one bone from the walrus you're not getting a lot of dice en masse out of it.

the mokume gane ones are cool too - plus alot of these natural materials (like the wood and antler) are going to be epoxy-stabalised anyway - only you can't see that because theyre not visibly porous, and the resin is clear

With these (gucci, supreme,...) kind of brands, you dont pay for quality, you pay for the brand. People that would like to try to argue that, you can literally go anywhere else and buy the same quality stuff (if not better sometimes!) for hundreds of pounds cheaper. So often you will see something very basic from them they claim their designers spent hours on, but I can get the same crappy stuff from a brandless store and itll not cost me a fortune just cos theres a logo on it somewhere.

Actual rich people rarely buy from these brands. These brands prey on middle (and sometimes even lower) class people who are obsessed with projecting a false image of 'wealth'. This is why these brands are so prevalent on social media and amongst 'influencers'.

Tom and Ben seem to be smart people, but for some reason, they don't know that you pay for the brand, not the product. iPhones are expensive not because it's so expensive to make them but because one, Apple is a famous brand, and two, people are willing to pay as much.

How would one have a cube as a d4? By definition, a cube has 6 sides, which is not a multiple of four.
@DamnDaimen
@DamnDaimen 2 жыл бұрын
@@233Deadman Its not really a cube, that was a poor choice of words, its more of a rectangular box with two of the sides too small for it to land on. theres also the ones that are basically d6s but two sides of rounded off so it can't land on them. Just.....anything but the fucking caltrops, please.

If those bone dice are made from medical skeletons, like for medical study, those could be from people who volunteered. But unfortunately a good chunk of those skeletons are from queer, poc and disabled who definately didn't volunteer. Not to say some of them didn't volunteer their body but alot of them didn't from back in the day
