If you want to know the most insane bullshit I pulled years ago well here it is. Within 5 minutes of playing Borderlands 2 I did not know what the hell I spawned at first but I spawned the hardest look midget to spawn and it got stuck and I killed it and got Sledges Shotgun. I was a level 3. The gun required level 5 to use. What I did was impossible to say the least. So yes the RNG of X Box console is fucking hell no to say the least. The probability of getting the level of gun I got is even less likely. Then the probability of getting sledges shot gun is even less likely. Cheats were added to the game and using cheats is how everyone else got sledges shot gun. To get the loot midget you had to open certain dumpsters and only if they had a special light on them. I am the only person to have gotten that achievement without cheating. The reality is that if you opened dumpsters for over 800 trillion millenniums you would have less that 0.000000001% chance of getting Sledges Shotgun the way I got it which is without cheats. Yea I dam near shat myself when I found out what I had done. I called up my brother and talked to other people about what happened when I got it and I understand why people thought I was lying. What I did I had no idea about the insanity of what I had done. I just thought I found a cool gun then realized after talking online about the reality of what I had done and I was horrified at the RNG. Hell what I did I admit I should not have been able to do ever. Its gross insanity of how fucked up the RNG was for getting that gun. Steam fixed the RNG to where its 100% doable in a few days at most of trying to get it and loot midgets are not go fuck yourself insanity of trying to find anymore. I completely understand why people called me a blatant liar and then when seeing me wield it they literally were horrified. I showed several thousand people the exact dumpster the thing popped out of and it became an instant harvest spot because people wanted to get loot midgets and turns out it was actually among the highest chances of finding a loot midget out of all dumpsters but me getting it that early in the game makes what I did even more bat shit insane. Hell I admit what I did should not have been able to be done. Now note I recommend trying to get sledges shot gun as early as you can get in the game because basically even actually at the end game I still used it. I even used it on the final boss. Sledges shot gun was just a descent weapon to where it was literally good against all types of enemies and better to be used than almost any weapon and hell it was effective against everything. Sure it used 2 times the ammo per bullet fired but it controlled spread made it great for boss kills and it made it nice to be used to revive myself and it was probably my favorite weapon aside from fire bees grenade mod or as I like to call Sprinklers of fire and death.

​@@Yoma97Maybe you didn’t know, or forgot, but you could’ve had a friend make a new character and host while you play a lv. 69 character for Underdome-it would have scaled all the enemies to the host’s level, because that’s how BL1 rolls, not lv. 1 in this instance, but like lv. 12 or 15 at most...been a while but I once did that. Or alternatively you could’ve done the same thing just with a second controller and the first controller as host at lv. 1-15. Just saying. It wouldn’t have made the DLC any faster, _per se_ , but it might have, as fighting things becomes way easier that way.

For anybody wondering each wave (including waiting for the next) probably takes around 1-2 minutes. There are 360 waves total in the entire Underdome DLC. That's at least six hours of your life doing slightly different variations of the exact same five fights over and over again. He's absolutely right that it's a slog in every imaginable way.

I still have very fond memories of Moxxie underdome, it was my 18th and I decided I wanted to complete all achievements. So I just drank while talking to friends while grinding underdome for 8 hours. Couldn't ask for a better 18th, doing something I truly find peace at.

Great video! I fcan feel the pain of doing Moxxi's Underdome, it's terrible. I can't wait until your video for Borderlands 2. Especially how you tackle things like Hammerlock's and Mr. Torgue's DLC's final bosses and Raid Bosses, which can be really challenging even if you're a veteran at the game.

Not only did someone at Gearbox screw up the drop rates in claptrap DLC. They then went on to not fix them for the GotY edition OR the enhanced version. Considering that these achievements have been a huge, well known gripe within the commity since the DLC released its even more ridiculous that it's never been addressed.

I was also a lucky child who got this game as a child, Only difference was I was 11 years old and my dad was the one who purchased it for me and my brother who was 4 years older than me so that we could play some more games together. And then my dad so happened to watch us playing the game and loved it so much that he bought another Xbox 360 and television so that all three of us could play the game together, My dad played Mordecai ( the hunter) like you did, My brother played Roland (the soldier), And I played Brick (the Berserker). This game hold a lot of memories for me and my family and I very much enjoyed the video.

You only need like 10 or 15 nova shield kills, can't remember the exact amount. But yeah....750 point blank shotgun kills and also 200 Rocket launcher splash damage kills are needed for each game

Haha holy smokes the intro is so relatable, exactly the same experience for me in gamestop when I was 11 and I thought the cover was so cool. My dad got me into gaming though and we ended up playing together even with all the gore. I never stood a chance beating the game myself but great vid!

I might be wrong but the underdome is also way more difficult (from what I remember of my high school days) because the enemies scale with the host. So when I tried to do it on my lv 55 character I had to fight 55s and doing it solo makes it incredibly difficult. I might see about grabbing the other 2 dlcs I never got and finally finishing the games achievements but I'm currently working through bl2

Not sure if it's in the enhanced version; but for the final Claptrap Boss, there's a rock you can hide behind and even though you can see the boss, it can't hit you. The boss also shoots plenty of explosive weapons and will kill the smaller Claptraps it spawns. Old method was to hide behind the rock, and walk away from your device for hours and let the boss kill the smaller guys for you. Go in, collect everything and hope you got it all. Repeat as necessary.

omg i feel so relatable to all this pain. last summer i decided to get all the achievments in all of borderlands game, so i spent A LOT OF TIME in the first one. The moxxi's underdome dlc made my sanity vanish even regarding the fact that i was basically cheesing it! i played it with my buddy who had level 15 at that time while i was level 60+ Brick who was absolutely descimating all the enemies, since their level was host-related. it still took hours and hours to go through all the arenas and the fact that my weapons were literally tearing mobs apart just made it worse: all these pieces were staying at the arena the whole time, making the game lag so freaking hard. overall an incredibly tidious experience with hardly any reward to make up for it

Back in the days of PS3 I completed that Moxxi dlc twice. You can complete it once per playthrough and thus earning X2 extra skill points to use. Shame though there is no mind-blowing end game challenge. Crawmerax is piece of cake with a little tactics involved.

I remembered the brainnnnns mission and knew it was gonna suck but had no idea about the rest of the dlc. Im on moxxi now and have finished knoxxs armory. Still a great game. And great video man. With bl2 being my first and main borderlands going back and playing one was very weird and I didn’t really like it despite pushing through the whole story, years later I decide to play it again but the goty version and it might take the cake of my favorite now. I hated lategame bl2 and the difficulty of the enemies also slag being literally required and just not really understanding builds (I’m not one to play games that utilize builds too much) so to play a borderlands that felt more forgiving later on is great. I’ve also learned to really appreciate the style of the first on terms of weapons and such. Goated ass franchise

The 50 achievement per game was because of the Xbox 360. So basically Xbox wanted each game to have at least 50 achievements which basically forced every game to have very easy achievements just to fill the 50 achievement requirement.

dont worry, the BL2 100% grind is much more skill based than anything. its mainly about just completing certain side missions or clearing the first round of each slaughter dome, that kinda thing. much more forgiving and doable, good job and good luck my good man

There is a program for the original borderlands non-enhanced that can let you change your FOV and a few other quality of life things we take for granted now, you can also use reshade and make the game look brighter. Basically with very little work you can fix the original releases problems if you dont want to deal with the enhanced versions problems.

Very nice Video and my sympathies. I have to mention 3 things: If you kill the enemys in TK Bahas map (Elevator to Ned for example) with Headshots and don't take the brains, you can finish the map and get lots of progression in his quest. So you don't have to farm them. You can take the rest by completing the DLC. (Done this 2 times. Works very well). If you have an other player, one can be at TK and make the quests and the other is at the killing points and collects the brains, after both players cleared the map. On ps3 I collected Moxxie and crawmerax alone. And man. Without somebody on higher Lv. the Underdome runs took 6-7 hours per Underdome.... Now on ps4 with the game of the Year editon, I didn't done the Underdome, cause the game has a high chance to close itself in Round 18+. I played three times to this point. One time I was in Round 19 Boss Wave and the game said: Nope, enough. I was furious.... Alone is Claptrap RNG not as bad as the Underdonme. In the saoGK you can shortcut, if you don't drive back to town (T-Bone Junction). You can quit the game and spawn there, when your quests says you should return. This make the DLC much faster.

The brain quest took me and my friend more than 2 hours and you're saying you did the entire DLC in 2 hours? Seems kinda rushed to me lol. These games are so fun co-op though. It was the last time I spent more than 3 hours playing a game without taking a break. I did a 12 hour session, had dinner and shower and then we continued for another 3 hours. I think our total skype time was just over 16 hours for the entire game and all DLC with 18 hours in game co-op time. But like 2 days total because I farmed.

Back in the 360 days i had a dude drop me and my friend a shield that was level 1 but had the max 16bit integer number of 2.1billion, so fun that can be imported to the enchanced version. Thank you save filer modders for making the grind for BOTH versions that much easier, already had half the achievements beforehand on the original, but gonna make the enhanced more fun

Me and my sister tried beating manic and, fun fact, we both had NO corrosive damage. Now, if you remember manic, it almost takes no damage from anything else. So we spent 2 hours before giving up and grabbing some trash corrosive weapons.

I remember going through this grind back in 2010-11. I was working on the Clap trap achievements and got "What a party" My friends wanted to play secret armory so I joined and put the grind on hold. I hadn't finished secret armory yet. Because we were all doing it together. Well someone tells us about the glitch to get into the armory so we do it (duh) and after that my save was messed up and wouldn't let me finish the mission so I could join games, do the mission, kill Craw but it didn't matter I couldn't "complete the mission" so I gave up the achievement grind with 77/80

3:58 the solution to the mem leak is to delete all cutscene files because those are what triggers it and it only happens on the Enhanced version

For Moxxi DLC, there's a trick that can make it ALOT easier. And this is a trick that works for both online and solo, if solo then needs 2 controller though. Maybe you just prefer solo, or maybe you don't want to drag someone else who's not interested to your suffering, or maybe you simply can't even if you don't want to cause you have the game but can't play multiplayer cause your sub for Xbox/Playstation has run out so you are unable to play with other people, whatever the reason, it'll work for you if you're a solo player, once again if solo then you must have second controller though. So how it works is that you start playing the game on a new account, just started so very low level, then have your main account join. All enemies level gets scaled to host, so if the host level is level 15 then all enemies will be level 15. So it can end up being level 50 vs level 15 enemies which should make it so much easier. Only downside is that you cannot pause the game though, so for solo player it'll be bad if you're someone that gets afk alot like maybe cause of a family or something since just single 20 round can end up taking few hours even with it being easy thanks to it being just very long, and enemies at level 15 can still deal decent enough damage to someone whose at level 50 unless you grinded hard enough to get so many health and shield.

Because me and friend were playing this on the ps3 we had to do the underdome trophies, we had modded weapons to blast through. If you manage to kill the boss on round quick enough it skips a few rounds. Still took many hours to do

So I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but when I was playing with my buddies on Xbox, every time we picked up a collectable in the game it would multiply by the amount of players near the item. This made getting the brains super quick because each one we picked up counted as 3, instead of 1

I was in Uni when this game came out. def caused me to miss more than one class. still remember all the modded guns on the 360 that would cause you to launch like 1000 grenades from a single trigger pull.

Interesting video of a game I also first played in 2009. Brains and regular Claptrap parts are grindy but not too unreasonable. Also a lot of those items can be collected playing the missions and then the rest grinded easy when leveled higher. The other Claptrap items drop rates needs patched. The Underdome is only good to play some to sample each location until progress saving is patched in.

I have every achievement in every borderlands game, EXCEPT this stupid big underdome rounds and the only reason I'm missing them is, that every time I try them, my console crashes in the last few rounds. I lost over 7 almost completely finished runs, due to my console crashing. The pain is real, i really want those achievements 😢

Claptrap's DLC was pure RNG, the bobbleheads and pizzas were a nightmare drops, i gave up on the large colliseums, because when i attempted one of them, the game crashed on round 18 and i was pissed off (this was on ps4 as well, so it couldnt handle it that well i guess with all the body parts around), the only large one i've done so far is Skag Gully and that was when i joined a friend when he was nearly done with it.

Yeah the large arena of the moxxi dlc will lag and then crash after round 15 because there is too many bandits remains. The strat here is to use a fire or corrosive gun so nothing left.

So, no lie. I have a weird problem on making my voice sound higher on stream. I've developed muscle tension in my throat because of that. My voice is deeper and more fluid and I'm actually able to sustain talking for so long by doing that. Sorry for any confusion, I don't have any filters and only a noise gate/background noise reduction if you can believe that

On my first attempt at the Hell-Burbia achievement in the GOTY Edition, I ran into a game-breaking bug. I was on round 16 and had just killed the final enemy in the first wave. However, the round didn't progress, so I was stuck. I didn't try it again for 2 years, thankfully it didn't happen the next time.

I found the trick even in the original edition was to after you do the 2nd play through go and do the dlc on the 1st play through it makes grinding the clap trap drops alot easier cause they die super fast

Yeah, I have over 150 hours in Borderlands one, not a single achievement from Mad Moxi, I remember my group of play buddies playing for a few hours, realising what it was and never touching it again.

I had to do moxis underdome completely solo. I left my lobby open so people could possibly join and help but anyone saw I was doing it would leave immediately. Had a few people join in the last 10 waves or so that stayed for what they thought would be an easy achievement, but I kicked them cause I’m not about to suffer for multiple hours for some free loader to cash in on it 😂

The Underdome's 20 Waves is completely annoying and frustrating but once you already unlocked the Achivements/Trophies then you will never need to do the larger colliseums ever again. On a new 2nd playthrough it's recommended to beat the smaller colliseums and get Moxxi's skill point.and never look back. Also at this point in the game I would have a Lvl 3 Liquid Orion with high shock damage which works wonders against the eridian guardians, a Lvl 3 Vitriolic Crux with high corrosive damage, a Hellfire with a Lvl 3 incendiary damage with the superb 12.5 fire rate as this weapon will largely benefit Lilith or a Glorious Draco for Roland but if you can find a Lvl 4 variant of these weapons then that is even better and a Masher. The Masher can consist of either a Pestilent Defiler with a 2 shot chamber which signifies pure corrosive damage at Lvl3 or Lvl4, a Savage Unforgiven Masher which is simply a god tier Masher with 2 shots in the chamber or you can opt for a Savage Equalizer Masher to not only have pure damage but any other character besides Modecai can regen revolver rounds without needing a class mod and it also has 2 shots in the chamber. Avoid Mashers that have 6 rounds in the chamber. Also before you attempt the colloseums it's best to head on over to Tartarus and talk to Blake and complete the Claptrap DLC and he will then grant you access to the Hyperion Gift Shop and this is the room on where you make your money and farming for Class Mods,Weapons Grenades and most importanly Shields and I highly recommend you farm for the largest shield capacity you can find at your current level. Preparing here now is beneficial for your survival in completing the Underdomes. Also try and not to level up too much or the enemies will scale up to your level and the waves will be significally harder. Either way this is just my hints and tips to newcomers of Borderlands and I hope for your success.

Memory leak glitch is the Achilles' heal of the Unreal 3 engine. Stuff looks super cool and slick BUT it "remembers" all the stuff on screen making the game either slow over time OR it crashes after 300+ items which is why you cannot loot Crawmerax Lair more than 6 or 7 times. 🤔
