Hi there, I have been using the Voltric Z force 2 (3U) and I find it good to play with despite being head heavy and stiff. I brought an Astrox 77 (3U) this year, and for some reason I couldn't get used to it at all. Flat drives were good for me as it seems more responsive compared to the VZF2. However, when it comes to smashes and clears during the game, I just couldn't generate the power and my timing were off, and even at times, I feel that my astrox 77 is heavier than my VZF2. I thought it was probably due to the length differences of the shaft as Astrox 77 have a longer shaft compared to the VZF2...would that be the case in your opinion?
@ClubRackets
@ClubRackets 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Argus, I haven't used the VTZFII a huge amount but I can understand that you feel you aren't getting as much power out of the Astrox. The VTZFII is still one of the most powerful rackets around (when used properly). I think the Astrox 77 with it's newer lighter graphite construction and different weighting will take some getting used to for you. Once you have played with it more I think you will find that you can be almost as powerful but with better angles and precision with the Astrox.

Hi there, I'm currently using a yonex Arcsaber 11 ( 3U G5) at the moment which I really enjoyed the good control & feel on it. I am indeed interested & keen to check on the Astrox 77. Which would be a good upgrade to if comparing to the 88 grams (3U) vs the lighter (4U)? As my playing style is leaning more towards attacking from the back court & a defensive type of gameplay.. Appreciate your feedback soon...Thanks :)

ClubRackets.com Thank you very much for your feedback. As indeed it's really hard to look for a replacement for the old trustworthy Arcsaber 11 which I have to agree with you which is to me the one of the best (the best for me currently) which is hard to let go until the emergence of the Astrox 77 which I'm really glued & looking forward to have a feel at it.. Cheers!

@ClubRackets
@ClubRackets 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Bernadette, The Astrox 9 is a good choice. a very solid racket at a great price point. If you like light rackets though I think the 4U 77 would be a better idea. BG80 power is quite popular but not one of my favourite strings personally. I would use BG66UM with the 77 4U I think.

Hello there Clubrackets, I'm thinking of getting a new racket...I'm considering between the Arc11 and Astrox77. I'm a club level very deceptive doubles player, great control at the net, quick counter-attack style, and shot placement. Which one would you suggest me on getting? I'm heavily inclined on getting the Arc11 (never tried playing with one) but today I was quite fortunate to try out a friend's Astrox77 and it was great. You can break my heart haha because in the end I'll have to choose only one. Looking forward to your reply. =)

Hi, we can't say a bad word about the Arc 11. It's a bit of a legend of a racket. I'd still go for the Astrox 77 though! Both versions are great in their own way. I guess you are thinking of the lighter 4U version?

the 3U (Blue) is perhaps a little heavier than the BS12 in the hand and slightly slower I think. It's very solid on impact and very powerful though which would make up for it. At the moment there are only 2 versions, 4U and 3U.

asyraf D054765iswa.upsi.edu.my I wouldn't say better, I think the Astrox 77 is great and made out of very good materials. The 77 is also a lot easier to use for most players than a VTZFII which is heavy (3U in UK), with a heavy head and feels slower to play with.

How is the control on this racquet? Is there too much flex? Or does it feel stiff? Planning to upgrade from my Duora 88, the "medium" stiffness Yonex gave it concerns me. Was originally considering the ZF2 but they may run out of stock before I am able to purchase one, so I figured I'd look at the new astrox series meant to replace the voltrics. (Primarily a singles player)
@ClubRackets
@ClubRackets 5 жыл бұрын
Hi, I think the Astrox 77 should be classed as stiff. The Duora Z-Strike is very stiff! The Z Strike is very powerful but perhaps requires a better technique to use it than the Astrox 77.

@clubrackets.com I have been playing with a Victor Thruster k9000 for a few years now. Over time I've found I'm not getting the power I'm looking for out of the racket. I have done extensive research on the top end yonex rackets. Duora 10 & z strike, voltic line, etc. Unfortunately I am unable to test any of these rackets out myself due to my location. I am a doubles and singles player. I enjoy net play and kills, but I also have a heavy smash when need be and enjoy the back court. I'm looking for something I can use in all dispalines. Would you advise the astrox 77? Or would something else suit me? I know each racket feels different to everyone, but I don't have the leasure of testing rackets out for myself. If you read this, thanks.
@ClubRackets
@ClubRackets 7 жыл бұрын
From your description I would say go for either the Duora Z-Strike or the Astrox 77 3U. Both will give you what you are looking for. The Z-Strike will suit a more technically advanced players where as the Astrox will be easier to use for most people.

I had a Victor Thruster K9000 3U a while back. Its certainly more powerful than a Z Force 2 which I also had. You're considering more power? There arent many rackets now a days that produces the power of the likes of Yonex Armortec 700 1st gen or Victor Super Waves 35. But are you looking for something more head heavy? Try Li Ning N55III. Its definitely more powerful than any racket I've played with. Only thing is, its kinda hard to maneuver like a 3U Z Force 1.

ClubRackets.com sure. I was getting an astrox for half price. I holded the racket an it look really premium the feel of it. But i highly doubt it becoz i have seen a few fake rackets with the seller. Is there any best way to judge??

Vignesh Aryan there are but easiest is if it's much cheaper than other retailers then it's probably dodgy and stay away.

They do the colour I want in the weight I don't. *fp. Actually, they're both G4, not G5, so I wouldn't want either of em!

Doura 10 , Doura 10 LCW OR ASTROX 77 Which one is best ? For me.. M playing Singles....One more que. Betwn blue n green which one is best?
@ClubRackets
@ClubRackets 7 жыл бұрын
I think probably go for the Blue Astrox 77. The Duora 10 & Duora 10 LCW are both good but the Astrox is easier to use.

Absolutely horrible lifeless piece of crap with a sweet spot the size of a penny. After 3 weeks of ownership I destroyed it in order to end the pain of ownership. I've never owned a worse racket at any price point.
