I’m reviewing the new 2023 Yonex Astrox Nextage badminton racket. This is a head heavy badminton racket aimed at intermediate players who might prefer a comfortable hitting feeling. The Yonex Astrox Nextage badminton racket incorporates VDM, Vibration Dampening Mesh which provides players with a comfortable and smooth hitting feel. One of the biggest differences I’ve realized is it sounds good!

Hey, CK great video, I sense this maybe help dampen the mis-hits etc. On another topic, do you think you can do some updates/video on stringing? I've been doing it for 8-10yrs and of recently my rackets are becoming more circular shaped rather than oval. I have no idea why this is happening, but I've tried it on other electric machines and it's doing the same thing.. I sense I maybe not tightening the clamps enough but they are "finger tight"... 2 piece, crosses I do bottom to top. Any suggestions welcomed!

I recently purchased this racket and strung it with BG-80 at 26lbs and BOY it feels like a beast!!! Smashes and drops feel very crisp, but I had to exert more power for clear shots (which is fine IMO). Absolutely recommend it for intermediate players. Great videos @CKYew as always!!! Keep up the good work

Good to see you on court again! These reviews from your friends really help to predict what the racket feels like 👍 Anyway I've tried the exbolt, both ver. Like your review i think the 65 is more forgiving, if you miss the sweet spot with the 63 you'll noticed how much power it lose

I had strung this racket with a Yonex Exbolt 63 string, however, stringing at my usual tension of 26lbs, I couldn't get a good repulsion from it. I had to restrung it to 22lbs to get the same repulsion power. The sound was really awesome though.

Thank you so much for the review. I have watched your review at 3-4 times before deciding to get one. It is a racket that fit my playing style and I love the whippy feeling. Smashes are powerful that are easy to execute. The head heavy allows me to that. I figure out why the front court isnt so sharp that because of the swing speed as well as sweet spot. So you will be quite accurate. All in all thank you and an excellent racket.

I would suggest you to go with lower end racket first, considering you said that you considering yourself as an amateur. Astrox game or tour series might be a good option. Pro rackets are typically more demanding so you can't harness their full potential without proper techniques. There are a lot of cases where beginner's game are suffering when they use pro rackets. As example, I am an intermediate player and have been playing for more than 20 years and had proper training (with coach and everything) when I was younger so my techniques is quite good. Even then, I use astrox 100 zx (basically 100 tour with different paint job) and it is already good enough for me. So I honestly think it is better to spare the extra money and go with lower tier rackets.

Bro please suggest the best singles racket under 4000-5000 (INR), my playing style is both attacking and defensive but i like to play smashes more along with 3rd line clears. I am an intermediate level player , Currently i own an Arcsaber 71 light .

You should have a look at the all the new Yonex Game series rackets like the 100 game for overall balanced gameplay and 99 game for more head heavy feeling also astrox 7 and 10 dg can be a good choice..! PS - i have not used these rackets, I am only telling this based on internet research and review. I myself was confused between 100 game and astrox 7 dg But i have decided to go for 100 game which I will soon buy ..!

I'm quite disappointed in yonex witht their lineup. Dividing it in 3 is just marketing to justifiy charging outrageous amount of money.

Hello Dr. Ck after watching your review about astrox nextage I finally bought one. however, the code on the cone of the racquet that I get online has no Letters that indicate where it came from. I bought it for 135 USD and I'm wondering if I get an authentic one

@@elmoramadhan3985 or 90K II with a lil bit sacrifice of power but has better manoeuvre, it's fit better for doubles than Ryuga II (I'm owning 90K and Ryuga II and intending to exchange Ryuga II for 90K II)

Hope your doing well! . . Have you heard of transcendental meditation ? Its LIFE CHANGING! I suggest if possible find a certified TM teacher in your area and learn it … thank me later . Its takes only 4-5 days and 1.5H per session. . . PS it’s expensive! But totally worth it if you can afford it

Based purely on the review, I think it reminds me a lot of astrox 77 tour. Medium flex, not overly head heavy, etc.
