The Yonex Nanoflare 800 badminton racket is the flagship head light badminton racket in Yonex's badminton racket range. It is built for pure speed and is extremely popular with the pros such as Tan Wee Kiong, Lee Yang and Kunlavut Vitidsarn. The Yonex Nanoflare 800 swings extremely smooth and is very fast!
This Nanoflare 800 badminton racket also has the thinnest badminton racket frame that Yonex has ever produced and I find it incredibly easy to play within my review here.

Made an impulse purchase and bought the sucker. Hahaha. Hopefully I love it, especially since this is my first high-end headlight racquet (my only other headlight racquet is an old Nanoray 100 with stock strings I got from a friend [I hate it]). Won't be able to play it for another two days, so until then I'll keep rewatching this to make myself feel better about my buy. 😂 Just from picking it though, it feels VERY solid and high quality, and it's not quite as headlight as I was expecting. Can't wait for your upcoming Nanoflare 555 review, CK!

I finally bought this racket (4U aerobite boost 27lbs) after your review and totally agree with your assessment. It is such an Easy racket to use, so easy to defend and clear. The smashes and placement was so accurate and effortless. Although it is a ‘head light’ racket but doesn’t feel like it is. As you mentioned, timing will need to be adjusted for slices etc… as it is a very fast racket. I had been using an Astrox 100zz and the N800 would be my racket of choice and recommended to anyone.

@@aneeshkeni6873 Hey mate, the 88s pro is stiffer and a touch more head heavier than the Nanoflare 800 (though not by much). I found the stringing pattern in the 88s pro (string w/ Exbolt 63 at 28lbs) to break easily when slicing or mistiming. The nanoflare 800 is the better bet, in terms of defence, power, speed and control.

I have recently returned to the badminton world after a long break of 5-6 years and haven't been keeping up with new rackets and series. My favourite racket back then (and still using now) is 2u Nanospeed 9900 which are rare anyway and has been long discontinued. I love its extra stiff shaft, the power I can generate from it (thanks to 2u), while still has high maneuverability. How does Nanoflare 800 compare vs Nanospeed 9900 in your opinion? And if I were to get one I suppose 3u would be a better choice (since I play with 2u 9900)?

Great review and completely agree with the findings. I've been playing with the Nanoflare 800 4U for a few months now, coming from an old but wonderfully light, fast and powerful wide body Carlton Powerflo. It took me a good while to adjust my timing to the stiff shaft and high swing speed, but I absolutely love the precision and control that it gives. A superb racquet in every way. Out of.curiosity you said you might be persuade to make this your favourite racquet - so what is your favourite racquet how, and why does that still have the edge over the NF800?

I've played with both 3U and 4U NF800 and personally I prefer the 3U as it has a bit more weight behind your shots. Both 3 and 4U of the NF800 is amazingly quick at the front. However, the 4U 88S is stiffer and offer a lot more power from the back. Do you prefer a head light racket or head heavy?

Hello :) Do you think the smash speed of the 3u version with a high repulsion and control string such as BG66UM could deliver the same quality smashes as those with head heavy rackets? Been trying to shift from the ZF2 Lin Dan edition to a quite maneuverable racket such as this one who can deliver great smashes and control, cause I've been thinking to include some trick shots during games without the expense of some muscle strain and racket control due to the weight .. Do you think when I get to adapt the head-lightedness of this racket, I could deliver the same smashes as with my previous ZF2 :) ? Btw I do have some history with a head light racket a long time ago but granted I can adapt quite well, do you think I could give this racket a go? Need Advice. So I'm a Intermediate level player with Agressive style of play. Played with Astrox 88D Game (BG66 Ultimax) for 6 months or so. It's a medium flex Taiwan made racket. I wanted to upgrade to Japan made racket and upon research found NF800 as an easy to play even balanced fast racket. I got it strung with Exbolt63 at 24LBS. Now my shots are not as powerful and consistent as they used to be with Astrox. So what could be the reason for this. 1. I have recently changed the racket, so I need to give some time for adjustment? 2. Choice of racket is not right because it's too Stiff for power generation? 3. Choice of string is not right? 4. Would you pick this over 88D Pro?
@CKYew
@CKYew 3 жыл бұрын
I personally prefer even/head heavier rackets over head lights so I will go with 88D Pro myself but that’s me. But the NF800 made me think really hard because it was that good 😊

@@miguelv2985 Which did you choose? It's a hard decision. 😭 I tried the NF800 4u last weekend and the first part of today. It takes a long time during my warm-up, to get used to the swing speed. But I like how I can defend. I tried the Astrox 88 pro today (4u again) and it feels way too heavy. But it was easier to smash, clear and lift all the way to the back, without having to worry about timing. It just doesn't excite me though and it feels like a one trick pony. Smashing or nothing. The NF800 made me feel like a ninja, it was that fast! If I want to be a fast front court player, should I go for the NF800 and just put up with the timing issues until I get used to it? Or be a lot slower and have no issues. 🤔 Anyone who has a fast racket is going to wreck people in the front court. 😔 So if I'm there trying to use the 88d pro, it's going to be a problem. But if I can't time my shots with the NF800, what's the point? Any advice anyone? Please. 🥺

@@1Flyingfist I chose NF800 because I feel like I play well with light/faster rackets. I play doubles and more of a front court player. The 88D Pro is a great racket and would've probably help me add more power to my smash but I was never really a power smasher. I used NF800 knowing I wont have that big smash so I'll just work on improving my smash towards speed. I also want to add that I play great defense and quicker reaction time using the NF800.

Really good question! Both are amazingly fast! I personally prefer the 3U version as its got a bit more oomph but not too much difference from the 4U too.

@@CKYew it’s just because it’s so kuch more expensive I’m only 16 and I’m not playing at a very advanced level and would be playing a kixtrure of doubles and singles I just recently got a job and feel like it’s a worthy investment. I’ve always used lighter rackets in the past but I feel like maybe I shoudk try a heavier one.

@@jjf0478 The NF800 is a high-end racket so they are expensive. They are worthy investments though but if you're strapped for cash, the most cost-effective upgrade is getting your strings done properly/fresh restring.

CK Yew i think NF700.. slightly lighter than 800 i think so ? Or does both same weight ?
@CKYew
@CKYew 3 жыл бұрын
@@balerionthedread7018 The 700's head is slightly lighter, only slightly and the shaft is more flexible. But I think the 800 is faster. Either way, both rackets are amazing!
@dbquek

Both great doubles rackets. The NF800 has a slightly more substantial feel to the head and a stiffer shaft so feels a touch more solid overall. The NF700 is really fast as well and more flexible in the shaft so a tad for forgiving and I would say has a slightly bigger sweet spot. NF700 maybe just a wee bit faster but not much in it.
