Yonex Power Cushion Eclipsion 5 Tennis Shoe Review - stability & comfort for players of all levels

Any suggestions on how to get a better lockdown in these shoes in addition to using a runners loop? I am using some power step orthotics in these shoes and for whatever reason I can’t seem to get them to lockdown around my ankle and really secure my foot inside the shoe. Still getting some heel slippage. Open to any suggestions you might have. Did you have this issue?

These look way comfy. Is the grip like Vapor X and Vapor Pro 1? More grip? More give?

We are supposed to get some more Eclipsion 5 shoes around mid to late January 2025. That is based on the dates of our purchase orders, however the delivery times can fluctuate. Troy, TW

How is the toebox? Did you toes get smashed during a quick forward run and stop?

how does this compare to ASIC GEL Resoultion 9 ??

Both have pretty good stability and durability, however after a slight break-in I found these Eclipsion 5 shoes to be a bit more slightly more flexible and comfortable. With the Gel Resolution 9 I found a bit more lock-down and a slightly more stable ride. The Gel Resolution 9 also comes with a six-month outsole durability guarantee through us (TW), so a bit better for players who wear down the outsoles. Troy, TW

@@tenniswarehouse, what’s the toe box width like on these? All the play testers were a medium foot. How to do they compare in the toe box against the Mizuno Wave Enforce Tours?
