An awesome series of videos! I really enjoyed watching these!😊 Thank you! Was a very interesting watch. Showed quite well the build of it - and thus I think I regard this video series as the most interesting videos of this compressor. Most just beimg about the use and diy cooling solutions for it - but this "how-it's-built" surely was the most interesting about the thing. Probably a few things coulda been made better for it right by the manufacturer.. But, yea, what do I know? I don't even own one of these..😁🤣 But. All in all. Way fixed! 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks for the extensive video, very useful. Was the oil leak from the oil sump gasket because it shrank? If so, then I'd suggest that anybody removing it for any length of time should leave it in a pan of hydraulic oil to prevent shrinkage.

Greg May Hello Greg, I’m pleased you liked it! Thanks for the idea, I shall remember to give that a try next time I have it apart (hopefully not too soon) in the end after two or three attempts I got it on there by de-greasing the casting and rubber gasket and putting small dabs of superglue about an inch apart around the ridge of the gasket that fits in the cover groove, you still have to keep stretching it and going round it until the glue has cured enough to hold it in place, this works well and I’ve had no leaks since ;0)

hi friend excellent part of the compressor ... I have one and I have had several problems with it, sometimes do not want to start.

Braulio Barrios Hello, could be you haven’t got enough power from that particular power point, or if you have it on an extension lead that could be your problem? Try plugging it into the power outlet you use for your washing machine! Their great little compressors when they actually work, Hope you get it sorted ;0)

Well done to the camera lady she done a good job filming all that, where did you get them 2 brass tube things from, Are they for catching moisture from the air instead of going into the air tank Regards, Carl
@sambocotton58686 жыл бұрын
Carl Spain Hi Carl, yes Kate’s good at everything she does, I’d be lost without her!!! The two brass looking towers are indeed for removing moisture from the air and also oil vapours/smell, they are in fact aluminium with what looks like anodising, the one on the right is a condensate remover and the left one has a cartridge filled with activated charcoal for the oil vapour removal. I will eventually get another one and fill it with molecular sieve and plumb it in between the two for better moisture removal! It originally came mounted on a bit of angle iron, but I mounted them on some aluminium chequer plate. I got them from the same firm as I got the Yong heng from off eBay, they are called “Wankedastore” but despite the name are very good people and sent me a replacement motor once I carried out the tests they asked for! All the best, Mel

Very good series of vids. Showed almost everything to take apart and put together. Would have like to see first hand the wiring of the hour meter. Not sure how to do that without exact description. Probably more simple than I expect. Keep us posted on how this pump preforms over time. Thanks.
@sambocotton58685 жыл бұрын
John Friedmann Thanks John, I’m pleased you liked it, the wiring of the hour meter is easy, just wire it in between the motor side of the switch and the motor so it only gets power when the motor does, wire it “in parallel” + on the live line and - on the neutral line! I’m certainly NO EXPERT on electrics or wiring so do it at your own risk and please be careful. I spent hours trolling through google and KZbin trying to find information on how to wire it but couldn’t find anything, so I just thought about it and had a go. I got the hour meter off eBay it came from China All the best👍

Tiko Kamide Hi Tiko, I brought it off eBay, it came from China and is a 240 volt one as that’s what our power is here in England! Just search for hour meter and I’m sure you’ll find them, I believe you can get them in 120 volt and even 12/24 volt dc ! All the best

What type of oil did you use?
@sambocotton58685 жыл бұрын
Josh Jeep Hi Josh, I use what they recommend #46 anti-ware hydraulic oil, I suppose it would be better to use proper scuba compressor oil that won’t give that horrible burnt sulphurous kinda smell, as it will be high flash point, but it’s expensive! Cheers!
