YONGNUO 11mm f1.8 - Better WIDE Angle Prime than Sony 11mm f1.8?

I used the Sony a6700 and Yongnuo 11mm lens to shoot our latest video. Excellent results! I used the lens distortion to my advantage. For music videos I highly recommend it along with the Sigma 18-50. Thank you for sharing your knowledge

I've got the Yongnuo 50mm 1.8 and its so sharp and AF is super fast.

Awesome! Glad the AF works well. I was testing it too and got some bit weird pulsations but yeah its sharpness is great!

Good review that sums up very well what I have experienced with my own YN 11mm. True, the corner/edge sharpness is not that good, regardless the f.stop (my old manual Samyang 12mm f.2.0 is better), however, when I focus closer, say between 30 to 100 cm, the lens is really sharp, edge to egde! Fast, silent af, impressive close focus, featured packed, minimum flare and a gorgious sun-star at an unbeatable price point. Love it!

In absolute terms, probably Sony is better (I haven't personally tested it), but remember it is much more expensive, so I think Yongnuo has a better price/performance ratio.

I haven’t tried the 1.8 version but I am currently testing Meike 85mm f1.4. The only potential problem with brands like Meike in my opinion is the potentially bit slow AF. If you don’t have to rely on it heavily, I think you will be fine.
