I live in Texas now but grew up in Yonkers and for many years lived in an apartment above a T.V. repair shop & pizzeria at 180 McLean Ave. That entire block, including the Dave's Glass was torn down decades ago. I can see St. Denis Catholic School where I went for religious instruction has also been torn down. The Big Apple on the corner of McLean Ave. & South Broadway is gone, as is the Finast Supermarket now an advanced auto. While attending P.S. 13, I remember we would wear our costumes to school on Halloween Day and walk around the block in an all-students parade. I spent many of my summer days walking up Rumsey Road to the woods and pool at Tibbetts Brook Park or meandering down the many trails at Van Cortlandt Park. Now, those things are but fragmented, distant memories.

Went to St Dennis.My Mother was the school crossing guard at PS 13. Went back to Yonkers for HS reunion. Found memories but don't miss it..

This is not the Park hill area neighborhood. It is the McLean and Van Cortlandt neighborhood. I lived in both areas in Yonkers and there's a big difference between the two

I lived in that neighborhood for many years and no one ever called it the Park hill area, Park hill starts at Park Hill ave and its streets from it. You need not to believe everything that google says.

If you know how to read a map you are in the Riverdale or Ludlow area. Park hill statrs at the bottom of Mclean and Van cortlandt ave where Pelton park is.

@mrmets7216, obviously, you still haven't read the map enclosed in the link. Do you see all the dotted lines? Those are the boundaries of the Park Hill community. I don't want to spend time responding to this subject. If you don't like it, take it up with your community jurisdiction and various organizations from which Google sources its data.
