@@mrleon4922 Perhaps you mistook what he was saying, because Mr Hazony was not suggesting we get rid of Christianity. He was talking about teaching the Ten Commandments, and bringing them back into the schoolroom. As children at Sunday School, in the Anglican Christian Church, we learned the Ten Commandments by heart. The Christian Bible includes the Old Testament as well as the New Testament, and one of the central tenets of the Old Testament is The Ten Commandments (given to Moses). The Ten Commandments are a guide to leading a decent and honorable life, and they have provided the basis for Judeo-Christian civilization over the past 2000 years.

Well said. Agree. BTW: Read Yoram's masterpiece: God and Politics in Esther. Heavy... but good.

What shall we say? The ex president wrote to a Dutch intellectual. The editors of newspapers have no check and yet have power to make and unmake characters at their will, to create and uncreate constitutions, to erect and demolish administrations. When a few scribblers, all foreigners whose origin, history, and characters nobody knows, have more influence than President, senate, the people's own representatives, and all the judges of the land? Here was an early critique of tabloid journalism. -John Adams, after the Hamiltonians and Jeffersonians used pamphlets to destroy his reputation by printing lies and half-truths

This is the first Natcon speach that's wishy washy . A real mixed bag . I'm all in with posting the 10 comandments in class rooms , but his definition on allies is wrong , all countries need to bring security to the table.

The ten commandments? That say nothing about rape or slavery??? I guess that god ran out of stone tablet.

613 commands expound the 10 and millennia of scholarship expound those. As you may imagine, they deal with slavery and rape. It was a people steeped in biblical law who ended chattel slavery.

Don't be silly. "You shall not steal," by extension certainly speaks against any form of human trafficking or enslavement, as it would be stealing someone's freedom. Also, "You shall not commit adultery," speaks to the sanctity of marriage and sexual purity. By extension, this commandment condemns all forms of sexual immorality, including rape.
