Guys, I know how facade is pronounced now. Obviously, I made a mistake in my video. I don't need called out anymore. I make one little mistake, and everyone hates me for it. I don't care anymore. It's not a big deal. It won't happen again if you care that much.

The sad part is the York Mall and West Manchester Mall and Delco Plaza thrived for years. They were never failures. Only since the rise of Walmart invading York and the rise of the Internet in the early 2000's did they start to decline. As for the York Galleria. I feel if they had not implemented that stupid rule about kids under 18 had to have a parent with them. That made the Galleria no longer a place for teens to hang out with thier friends on a Friday and Saturday night. Talk about shooting youurself in the foot. I look forward to watching this video when it premieres

I’m still really bummed about West Manchester mall being closed. I saw some photos of it and it looked awesome! It would’ve been a great Crown American to catch. Really bummed it’s gone. Great video by the way!

Chambersburg Mall had a similar feel but WMM was nicer. The mid 90s remodel and Walmart eating 1/3rd of the mall really killed the aesthetics but Chambersburg Mall never got the remodel.

Remember picking up Call of Duty games at the York Galleria during my high school years... man that place went down hill quick. Sad part is Capital City 30 minutes north In Camp Hill and Park City 20 minutes east in Lancaster continue to do fine. What happened to West Manchester is a crime. Miss that mall.

Local from York Pa. Born in 92. All way up till I’d say 2010 the galleria was still always busy slowing started faded in the 2010s and post pandemic the casino is the only thing helping keep it alive. As for the West Manchester Mall. That mall was dead in the 2000s Cept for the movie theater , arcade area that also had and auntie Ann’s and subway was popin

One of my friends was the manager of the electronics boutique when the mall first ed, then worked at the electronics store that was to the right of the video of Boscov’s that you showed. our other friend, ran the arcade that was upstairs in the food court at the time. So many great memories there. This video brought many of them back, so thank you.

I worked at Delco Plaza and York Mall at the movies. Also worked at wee three records at West Manchester Mall. The mid eighties till the end of the 90s We're incredible times to grow up going to those malls. They were really special. It's sad to see that the mall era has ended. The kids of today will have no idea what they missed.

It’s crazy this is like 20th place I personally know and would frequent. It’s surreal to see these places left behind in time. It’s sad because my kids won’t ever feel the same enjoyment out of places like this. Everything now is just a carbon copy, every building, every sign, everything is so “sanitized of personality” and it really hurts seeing personal identity just slowly die.

The Regal Cinemas lobby is former mall corridor complete with the old mall lights. However, those lights are very dim, inefficient, probably hard to find bulbs for, and should be replaced with recessed LED lighting IMO.

The Avaling Dairy fire is what closed there doors and Rutters took over the restraunt and eventually tore down the Avalong restraunt and built there own Rutters Restraunt where the bank now sits. They then built the convince store and gas station next door. That was just torn down and now being rebuilt. I played minutiae golf there alot ad a kid and my Dad liked hitting balks on the driving range I often wondered how many golf balls were found while building the Galleria Mall.

I used to shop at Galleria mall back in the 90's before I moved to Florida. It appears half of the mall is on the way out. I haven't been back to this mall since 2003 or 2004 before I moved. I remember going to the movie theater in Delco Plaza back in the 90s. If I remember right, there was movie theater in the Manchester Mall which I went too. It appears all malls like you are stating are failing.

I can't believe it's been 10 years since West Manchester Mall was turned inside out, it still doesn't feel like that long ago. The Collectables Store was always my favorite place to go as a child. I also distinctly remember a pretty cool but incredibly short lived retro game store that was there around 2012 or so. I don't think it was open for more than a few months, guess they had second thoughts about setting up shop there. Not too far away from the WM Town Center you can also find the former location of the Giant Food Store that moved into Delco Plaza around 2006, as far as I know it's been vacant the entire 18 years since which you can really tell given the poor condition it's currently in.
