This video came in clutch. Really saved a huge headache. Today was my first York heat exchanger change out. Would’ve been a nightmare without this video. Thanks so much

Thanks for recording. I'm a service tech as well and we change MANY of these York rooftops. Except I've never done only a 2 tube. That would be a dream! We never take all of the panels/screws out through. Oh the dreaded 5/16" screw that hugs the wall. That is single handedly the most difficult part! We reach down with 2 extensions and a slotted driver and pull that screw. Also, a bit of a tip: Grab some sheet metal and insert it down the length of the heat exchanger. Put a bend so it can hook on the top. You won't rip the insulation NEAR as much when pulling it out or putting the new one back in. Cheers!

Today were changing a 10 ton York heat exchanger and man I will say these guys make it look easy. Wanted to set the building on fire by the time we were done. They legit built the unit around the heat exchanger

Is that the one similar to this but has two burner assemblies and the double inducer blowers? If so, I dread every having to do one of these again. Absolutely ridiculous.

The boss sent me to look at client's York rtu. Tenants were complaining about flakes of aluminum coming out of the diffusers. It was nasty inside the heat exchanger box. Recommended replacement. Thxs for the vids!

Happy holidays from chicago. Love the content as always. I love doing heat exchangers. If you can, I'd love if you went more in depth with what you had going over there with your meter on the gas valve. Just got me a pair of the Klein tough meters from my senior tech and I'd like to see what exactly you were metering and what you were looking for. Thanks again for the quality content big dog

I’ve only done a couple of heat exchangers since I’ve started in this trade, first one was a Lennox (HUMUNGOUS pain in the ass) package unit, and a Goodman package unit (not nearly as bad as the Lennox but still a pain). I’ve heard of how bad Yorks are though.
