just been up dales way from ilkley to dent, absolutely wonderful the whole 8 days, taking it all in slow and steady, and now back in holland where it's flat......hehe

Nice video that gives a good impression of the walk. I can also recommend crossing the suspension footbridge (where the kids were playing) and continuing to Burnsall on the mostly level footpath, where in summer you will see Swallows skimming over the river, and Grebes if you're lucky.

Thank you Suzann. The walk from Grassington to Hebden is 6.5 miles. If you take a look at our website and find the walk under the heading Yorkshire Dales you will find written directions and a drawing of the route which you can match up on Ordnance Survey Map OL2 which we recommend you take with you. While you are in Grassington take a look at another of our walks named "Grassington Bluebell Walk River Wharfe to Grass Wood Nature Reserve" which takes you down to Linton Falls and the river also on map OL2. You will find the people in the Yorkshire Dales very helpful and friendly. The pace of life is a lot slower. We are sure you will enjoy your stay and there is also a very good fish and chip shop in Grassington. All the best The Taxi Driver.

Hi Lana, it is a very slow job filming our walks, about 1 mile an hour, so it is not feasible to take people with us but we are please our website is free for anybody to use. All the best The Taxi Driver
