You guys are absolutely amazing. I have a 31 yr old vauxhall senator here. My pride & joy. I don't like this water based paint stuff at all, I've always worked with celulose... You've given me a push. I've always resprayed my own vehicles in the past. Have not done for many years. You guys have given me the boost to do it again now atleast 30 years later. THANK YOU. I owned 6x opel manta B's from 1986 - 1991. My last was my opel manta B 2.0l GSI. Boy, I wish I still owned it now in the condition it was in then. Probably couldn't get myself in & out of it now due to hip & back problems. Hence my lovely vauxhall senator 3.0l 24v which Iv'e owned now for around three years. I Was ready to sell her & let her go due to paint issues prior to your footage on youtube. .You guys have given me the push to keep her & enjoy her. I have the capability & resourses to keep her looking the part for the future due to you. Thank you. I don't think you realise how important you guys are to the undustry. You are. VERY. Thanks again

Epoxy paint systems are solvent based not water. That would be acrylic which is not nearly as durable.

I used to own a 2.0 litre example. USM 662T first registered in 1979 by Southern Garage Dumfries. Loved it even though it was problematic and even in the 1980’s extensively rusty on the inner sills, just like this example. In those days all repair panels were available which made body repairs slightly easier.

I guess you've done this before! I'm retired and just learning the dark arts of metalwork and spraying. Just caught up on your earlier vid on using tools to make panels which was great except my shopping list has grown somewhat. Your videos are spot on , thanks for doing them it beats coronation street any day.

Hello from Portugal. I'm just going to say this... The paint booth is Sacred no sanding shoud be done in there, also i think you did a very good job but if you want even a more perfect prepare for paint you shoul try to do the final Sanding with a 800 / 1000 grid in wet. Remember prep work is the most important part of the painting process if you do a bad prep work you will never get a top quality paint job, but i think you did it perfect. Love the work you do removing rust and restoring metal i've been around car repair shops all my life and i know what it takes to do quality work on repairing rust and you Master it. Keep it up.

Not many shops take on budget projects, fewer still turn them out structurally sound, much less looking good. Add to that, Manta's are in the list of cars that makes one's work stand out even more. This one came out no less than spectacularly in all respects. In the grand scale of things it just proves once again that YCR are the masters of working around budgets without compromising quality or vehicle safety. Congrats on the new paint booth, it will pay back in dividends down the road!

Beautiful finish, I have absolutely enjoyed watching this series, this is really giving me confidence to start my MK2 Cavalier project again, due to me getting stuck on a small pice of wheel arch where the it curves round but also has a step inwards for the bumper to wrap around I wanted it to look right and gave up on the project, but watching what you guys do is giving me ideas and the confidence to start again. Wish me luck 😊 keep the videos coming please they are valuable.❤
