we need to give hojland some slack.........for us to assess him properly he needs a run of 4-5 games and in each of those games he needs to have 3-4 chances created for him........he gets 1 if lucky 2 chances per match......i remember the days of andy cole getting 5-6 chances a game and andy scoring 1 out of 6 or 2 out of 6 and getting criticised for it.......hojland gets a single chance per match...........not sure how we assess him on that basis

Amorim has struggled for time in the training ground from the moment he arrived. Then he gets a full week of training in with the lads and we saw evidence of that away to Liverpool. NOW with another full week under their belts leading into this clash with Arsenal I have to believe that we’re going to see an even more elevated performance….. I get the impression that these boys confidence is growing and the belief is starting to show. It’s small right now but it’s coming. This is the first time in a long time I’m looking forward to a game against a top 6 team.

Arsenals main threat is from corners and free kicks. We need height at the back. If you want to play Yoro it would have to be at the expense of Martinez who gives us a lot going forward. It’s a trade off but I would start with the team that played so well at Liverpool. Let’s hype Bayindir has been practicing corners.

Sure, he was terrible against Spurs but we've seen so many howlers from Onana in the past 18 months, and Onana got scored on from a direct corner literally the game after Bayindir did. lmao He's played 4 games for us while Onana has had 58; we haven't seen enough to assume he's a definite downgrade on Onana.

I agree but this Arsenal team isn't looking good (same as us). No Saka, Nwaneri, Sterling, White, Zinchenko, Tomiyasu, et al due to injuries. They're fairly depleted. Their only threat going forward is their dodgy wingers and sometimes Odegaard. It all depends on if our terrible offense can score a goal or two while defending their set pieces. lol

My one concern for this game is Arsenal's heading strength at corners and freekicks, so I would be tempted to have as much height in defence as we can get. Replacing Martinez with Maguire at left CB (for this game only), moving de Ligt over to the central CB berth and bringing Yoro in as the right CB might make sense.
