Yosemite MIDI Over Bluetooth with Ableton Live

In the video, I'm running a cable from the headphone jack of the MacBook, into channel one of an audio interface connected to the iPad. In Audiobus, I have the Macbook (Ch 1 of the interface) as the input, into Caramel, recording into AudioShare. You could then email the recording or dropbox it to yourself back to your desktop. You could also use Apollo Remote Recorder by Secret Base Design.

that clip you used for the video, do you recall the VST used to create that lead? at the beginning of it, it's the only instrument playing..? Please and thank you. I love how it sounds.

Hi, does it work with older macs too, using a Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter? I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro. I'm interested in the Yosemite built in Bluetooth midi, not Apollo. Thanks!

So is this more for CC? I can't see bluetooth over midi running notes without latency....

Yosemites update is too early to tell, but if you're familiar with the Apollo Midi over BT, it actually does pretty good with sending notes and keeping latency low. It's far better than Midi over WiFi.

Hi Mirko, I can't seem to find much on the MIDI BT with Yosemite, but it seems features like Handoff aren't too promising with adapters. Check out the link for some articles. www.google.com/#q=bluetooth+4.0+usb+yosemite
