Sequoias trail Mariposa Grove, is located at the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park. This trail can be long or short, ranging from 1 to 8 hours or more, depending on your needs. There are many giant Sequoias worth taking photos along the way.
Tioga Road, the east entrance to Yosemite, is closed. There is a trail called Tuolumne Grove near the east gate. There is a large area of giant Sequoias. It takes about an hour to drive east from Yosemite Valley. There are not many tourists here. When we returned to the parking lot of Tuolumne Grove, we were the only car left alone and returned in the sunset.
Drive two hours southeast from Oakhurst and enter the mountains of Kings Canon and Sequoia National Parks. These two national parks are connected at the north gate. The largest living Sequoia tree species on earth is distributed here.
You can spend a day in the pine forest near General Grant Tree and feel the vitality under the giant trees. There are many Sequoia tree stumps left, being cut down manually, scattered in the park. The largest of them is Mark Tuwen's tree stump.
