Seiryu was absolutely present in the Heavensturn event. If you completed the Tataru questline segment, he's standing in Limsa in the rabbit suit and you can talk to him. I also noticed that the little girl in the questline had a new model and her small animations were way better than usual. I'm hoping it was a preview of Dawntrail NPCs.

The paper thickness is called "bond paper".. So, they likely used 24 "pound" bond paper for the books. We use that a lot here at my work for Wills and Estates. It's thicker, fancier, paper.
