Humans aren't the greatest at self-evaluation - but heck, we're awfully discerning with others. Applying it back is the most "hindsight is 20/20" endeaver ever. Music, experience, your strengths, whatever; all the same. Thanks for being genuine, as you always are Daniel. Cheers.

I adore this channel. As much as I miss the Rex/Daniel dynamic, this is such a delightful format that still centers on whiskey but doesn't make it the primary focus in life, which is an objectively good way to live life if we're being honest. Cheers Daniel, you are one magnificent bastard.

While I miss the buddy dynamic of old Rex/Daniel Vault, I genuinely love the 50:50 whiskey tasting : life coaching with Daniel format we have now.

Thank you for the transparency on how ideas really are created. So much is from collaboration or inspiration from others vs this "ideal" of the "flash of genius". Thank you for letting us know we have things to offer even if its taking an idea and making it our own. Love these episodes.

I like hearing how this channel came to be. I have very few people that I look to for influence. Daniel is among that select few whose thoughts and opinions carry any weight with me. Cheers to you Daniel, I am so glad you're here.

I love this format! Ive learned so much from you, and I have been binge watching both channels since starting my job at a liquor store. I've always enjoyed whiskey and the story, but now being surrounded by all the products ive been been researching and learning as much as I can about everything. The best part is getting to talk to customers who might not be a whiskey enthusiast but finding out what they normally like and then helping branch out and explain other brand's whiskeys, blends, history, tasting notes and my personal experiences if any. So many have come back and said thank you that they enjoyed it and asked for other recommendations. I feel this video.

If you ever find yourself in Ohio please please let me know I would love to cook a meal and have some drinks conversation and learn from you as much as it threw me off when you and Rex split the channels I can honestly say I really like this format a lot better I love the educational stuff from you and I love the shenanigans from him and Brianna Great job all around you people are amazing

What you've talked about is especially important as a Creator in general. You have provided me with inspiration also. Because of you and Rex I'm a little bit of inspiration from somewhere else, I decided to start a channel about Colorado Whiskey. I hope to make it a business that I can do. So thank you for that 30%. And thank you for another great conversation 😊🥃

Thank you Daniel for this video! I have been watching your videos for a long time, and this year I finally built up the courage to start my own channel (in Portuguese) and I'm really enjoying it. This would not have happened if it wasn't for you, rex, and a few other Whiskeytubers. CHEERS!

Really enjoying your mature, humble approach to all things whiskey (and life). If im being honest, I just grew tired of Rex's 'shenanigans' and 'look at me' approach. Appreciate your knowledge. Subscribed!

As a software engineer this really resonated. So much of my job distills down to taking inspiration from other people's work and ideas (who in turn build on other people's work), learning from them, and figuring out how to adapt the ideas and concepts to solve the problem at hand. I'd say that in my field rather than 30/70, if we're being honest it is probably closer to 10/90. And the best are the ones that can take that 90 and really run with it.

You can still find the "Simple" song on Spotify. Someone get this man a toy guitar! 🖖😎🥃🎸 You did inspire me to FINALLY pull the trigger on purchasing that Leopold Brothers Three Chamber Rye at last. Shipping costs be damned!!! But MORE importantly, the early days of your Advent Calendar gave me that extra nudge to just start recording videos on KZbin. Some crazy, bonkers, unimaginable stuff has happened in my life ever since. 😉

Daniel, wondering if you might share your perspective on if you see the som courses as primarily industry people geared over the enthusiast. Does that balance shift as you move on through the levels? Thoughts on enthusiasts in level one as I’d love to join one of these days. Appreciate it!
