This is a very well made video, obviously a lot of effort went into it, its entertaining and has a nice pace. However, could you tell us what program you used for taking the "scans" & how you edited them, why you even did them (seems like you had to measure and design it yourself anyway) and what printing material you used. This is a good entertainment, but the educational side of the video, for me, would draw me alot more to your channel. Anyway, keep up the good work and best of luck!

Hello, I appreciate your positive comment. Thank you! ;) For CAD designing, I used SolidWorks, and for 3D model scanning, I used a mobile app called Polycam. However, the Polycam 3D scan from a smartphone is not accurate enough to directly use as a 3D model for designing the mold. A professional scanner would meet my standards for a 3D model, or perhaps a new iPhone with Lidar could scan a high-quality 3D model. So I used my 3D scanned model only for few measurements, which I could not take from real one cover. I used PLA material to print the mold, but ABS or PETG should also work fine, as I have tested them previously. However, potential issues might arise during molding if certain types of epoxy have a chemical reaction with the material. Next time I try to be more speaky and detailed :)
