I feel like the pearl knobs are more elegant and give a spa like feeling and the other knobs are too stark and plain they just don't have character at all. Also I know your paint color isn't showing good on camera so which one looks best with the countertop? You didn't show the two beside so it is hard to give an opinion on that. I am a huge linen fan though. Can't wait for the whole redo! I have been trying to decide to do my kitchen over and I was wanting Ikea cabinets but they are super expensive for my small budget. I have considered building my own so this video was awesome for me. I think it is something I am willing to try. I am worried about doing drawers though and that is the main reason why I want to change my kitchen. Any suggestions?

This looks great! I asked for an estimate to redo my kitchen cabs with new shaker doors and wanted soft close doors and drawers. $15k was the estimate. At that cost I decided to diy it. Tested it on the bathroom first, loved it so I moved to the kitchen. I measured everything 4 times and bought already painted wood doors at barkerdoor. Also added soft close hinges and changed all the drawers to full extension soft close. Spent $5k (no paint on the doors and a cheaper wood options would be cheaper but I didn’t trust my painting skills on the face of the cabinet.) Everything looks amazing! You tube taught me everything.

Wow 😮 You never cease to amaze me or inspire me. I watch XO too and adore her but I know the cabinet build she did about killed her. The cabinets look magnificent and the money saving is incredible 👏 XO used Pashmina for hers which is beautiful so in your bathroom I would recommend if you stay with the Linen, paint the walls. If you use Pashmina then I think the wall color would be fine. Personally, I really like the pearl finished knobs as it looks more custom and not expected if that makes sense but either looked really good. I cant wait to see the rest.

A couple of things to help with the tearout from using your circular saw rather than the table saw. One option is to put masking or painters tape over the cutline, draw your line and then the tape dramatically reduces the splintering from the circular saw blade. Another option is you can get a plywood blade for your circular saw that has far more teeth than the construction grade blade you have on there. The downside is you have to change the blade each time you want to cut unless you get a second circular saw dedicated to each blade. If you only do it occassionally, then the tape trick will probably work best for you. Love your channel!

Natalee…I strongly disagree with your opinion. These cabinets are indeed CUSTOM MADE by YOU. They are STUNNING. You did a BEAUTIFUL job. Please change your wording. The cabinets are CUSTOM MADE. I love these. I have 1980 cabinets with a crazy routered design in them. I HATE them, really, really HATE them. I'm getting ready to paint them because they are really showing their age, but I love the way you made the doors. I think it is something I can totally do. I'm going to paint them and if I still hate them, I think this would be a way to get the look I really want. My only drawback is I have 30 doors and 11 drawers. It would be a big project. Thanks for showing this. Please keep the inspiration coming!

As a carpenter, that works in a cabinet shop that builds cabinets, cabinet doors, entry doors, windows and just about anything else that needs built I'm going to surprise you. Some panels are built that way, I never seen a door built that way though. I have seen that done in the late 1800s or early 1900s and I'm thinking but not sure but it's been done earlier than that. The original doors was already a full overlay door just face frame style of cabinet. I don't know why the have a 3-3 1/2 inch middle stile, ours is made for 1/2" or 3/4" overlay doors plus a 1/8" to 1/4" space in between the doors. Only advice I can give you is if that panel has a bow in it and you use the clamps the way you did it is going to have a bow in it after to, stand a straight board on each side then clamp them together. Look up woodworking cauls to get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

A few years back we bought a cute house that had plain plywood cabinets in the bathroom. They were of excellent quality, but a bit plain. I took little strips of cut offs from 2x4s that I scrounged from the yard. The house had been in the possession of a hoarder). I glued and tacked them on horizontally, and created a kind of cottage look. Finally this year I am finishing the upstairs bathroom, and I am using cedar bead board the same way. I played around with several ideas but settled on the cedar because they were left over from another project. This is good to give people ideas.

I have to say I love watching you. When I was young my grandfather was a master carpenter. He could do anything. I would try to copy him, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. But he would assure me that just because I did things the girl way, didn't mean it was the wrong way, just different. I still go by that 70 years later. I may not always do things the right way, but if they look good when I'm done I'm happy. And everything you do looks good when you're done. Keep up the great channel. I appreciate you.

When I redid my kitchen in our old farmhouse I went with red cabinets. There isn’t one cabinet built the same the old owners piece milled the entire thing together so you can’t get more unique than that so since it had a butler’s pantry attached all of my stuff fit in there and I just used my kitchen as open shelves and left off the doors and the kitchen is more of a display if that makes sense. I painted the cabinets, the countertops to look like granite, and everything the knobs I did use came from hobby lobby 50% off they are a crystal clear knob glass with a little gold filigree behind it. I just loved them. My backsplash is a 2x4 cut down to look like yardsticks stained in different colors put up horizontally staggered in the grey and brown stains In total I spent around 125$ on my kitchen make over and that was 8 years ago and I am repainting my cabinets this yr in fusion paint still a red just wanted a better paint. I love doing everything on a dime. It is time to do the countertop again but it wasn’t hard the first time and I think because we use an oil base poly we should have used a water based poly and we would have saved it from yellowing under the heat of cooking. I love love love your channel because I do learn so much and you are so creative and not afraid to get in there and try new things ❤

You are a queen! Thanks to my incredible & forever missed mom and yourself, I love DIY’ing and I built my own studio in my home about 2 years ago. I’ve been watching you for a couple of years now and recently, because life gets in the way, I lost my mojo for crafting. Trying to get that fire back, I made myself start watching DIY’ers and craft channels on KZbin but none of them helped EXCEPT for watching you! Watching your channel has really brought my mojo back and I want to thank you! I love being a girl who loves and uses power tools and figuring out how to make it work for you! Our styles are very similar but with my love of BoHo Chic thrown in✌🏼 There has to be thousands of dollars invested in every DIY and craft imaginable in my “Stu” and it’s been just sitting there. I use to craft and create to relax, for me time and mental happiness so the cost is totally justified. My daughter-in -law teases that she shops at my house before the store and my kids tell me that my house smells like Hobby Lobby. Not mad about that lol. I just wanted you to know how much you’ve inspired me in the past and again today and that I sincerely appreciate you and everything you share with us! Congratulations! You did a beautiful job! In my opinion, the colour of the cabinets is not the issue. The problem is the countertop! I would really, but really, change the colour of that. To white, actually (or something very light and especially uniform, without speckling).. And then, your doors would pop. As it stands, I don't see how any colour would look good next to these countertops. There are ways of painting them without having to change them. Same goes for the tiles. Anyway, that' s my 2 cents. The new cabinet doors look great! Thanks for the instructions; I may use this idea in my kitchen. You can get a better cut when you use a circular saw on plywood by changing the blade to one designed for plywood. It has many, many more cutting teeth than the all-purpose blade you demonstrated with. A plywood blade is more like a table saw blade. Thanks again for the great video.

I like the first option for door pulls. They look more timeless.

Beautiful! Very smart way to get beautiful doors! I would got with the sleek, square knob and Pashmina paint.

Stick with the first set of drawer pulls and let those shaker style cabinets shine! What a great hack. They look so wonderful. Could you put a soft close style hinge on there? Just curious. Keep those great videos coming❤

The 9:47 frame was a "aha moment" for me, that explained why I was short on my project . Thank you Natalie !

Fantastic!! The brushed square knobs are the better choice IMHO lol The other knobs are beautiful but they don’t fit the shaker design.

Those look fantastic. I'm so jealous. The Pearl knobs are beautiful but I think the sleek ones look better with a darker granite countertop.

I'd choose the brushed squarish pull. On color- I like the Cargo Pants but couldn't really see wall color with cupboard very well. Fantastic job on cabinet!!!

Genius!!!! I have been struggling in my head for for months about making some cabinet doors, I kept thinking why couldn't just use plywood with styles and rails on top, but your way is genius they look fantastic! Thank you so much.

NataLee you have always inspired me to be powerful. I believe you mentioned MaCanne's channel a while back. She is an incredible young lady. Can't get enough of your and her channel's. Between the both of you ladies I know i can do anything I set my mind to. You are absolutely amazing NataLee thank you for sharing all of your creativity with us . 🤗💓💕💞 I think you should use the first handle and pull on your gorgeous cabinet. Amazing job and what savings. Just WOW

If you paint the cabinets, I would go with the pearlite knots. That's the only suggestion I have. Love the cabinets. Love the money savings too. Good job!
