I used to have one. 7/8ths wolf, one part malamute. When all the dogs in the neighborhood started barking at night Lobo would let out a howl and ever dog would immediately go quiet and stay that way for like 20 minutes. In the early 90s my dad took me to a place I was probably 6 and picked my puppy. This dog grew and grew and grew lol. Monster animal and he had the same effect. He was tested and found to be a full blown Russian wolf. I am not kidding you when I say how amazing of an animal he was. We lived in Vegas and it had to be kept secret because they would take him. He would come behind me and growl and sense we grew up together people thought he was going to bite or mad. Nope that just bowe saying he loves me. He got put down in my arms when I was a sophomore in high School and it seriously can't replace the bond I had with that animal. All dogs go to heaven! I can't wait to see him again. @@stanleyigboanugo1245if you're going to get a wolf make sure you do yourself the dog and everyone else around you a favor and get it trained because wolves aren't like regular dogs. They'll have every dog around them pack with them and for the rest,.. use your imagination. My parents when I was younger didn't know shit about raising a wolf dog. And that ended very very badly, thankfully nobody's life was lost except for its own. But then our keeshond had to be put down weeks later because she was forever changed. When Remo the wolf dog was put down, she didn't know what to do and she started terrorizing all of us. Remo lunged at my little brother, grabbed him at the neck.. thankfully my dad was there but it was just luck that the dog let go. We didn't have this dog for even a whole year yet before this happened, if I'm remembering correctly it was maybe only 6 months before My parents started noticing the extremely aggressive behavior but even after that they ignored it as if it was just another dog. You can't let behavior like that slide from a wolf dog(especially if your other dogs are of a similar breed of wolf.. like husky), any breed but especially a wolf breed.

I used to work at a dog training facility and somebody brought in a 160lb grey wolf named max to get him trained because he snapped at their daughter once when he was eating. For some reason my boss said he bonded with me so I had to train him. He wouldn’t let anybody else come near him except me. He wasn’t mean at all. He was just afraid and would run. He got spooked one day and jumped a backyard fence from a sitting position. He landed on all fours on top of the fence, looked around, and jumped over to the other side and took off in the woods. I caught him eventually. You have no idea how big they are until you’re getting knocked over and stood on top of while one is playing with you.

I knew a guy here in the UK that had a wolf as pet. "Pet" probably isnt the right term, it was kept in a proper wild enclosure on a lot of land. He rescued it from a wildlife park where it was abandoned by its pack. It was the most beautiful animal I've ever seen. And I get it that without him taking it on it probably would have died. But its still a wolf and they're pack animals. So keeping 1 on its own just isn't fair in most cases
@skeemaldn5176Ай бұрын
life isnt fair. no doubt its not the best scenario, but if youd asked the wolf itself if it would have preferred to die alone, or in its new small human pack im sure it would be an easy option

Been at a dog beach when a guy with a wolf showed up, can confirm every single dog's hairs seemed to stand on end (metaphorically, not literally). Talked to the dude, he didn't even have it on a leash (he was homeless, looked like Gandalf, old and with a long beard). He says it never causes problems, but sometimes dogs would get aggressive with it and the pet owners hated him. My friend was petsitting a young dog (about 1 year, can't remember what breed), it was playing with the wolf.. at a certain point the puppy got snappy so my friend tried pulling it back. But it kept getting up in the wolf's business and the wolf was starting to get annoyed, so I knelt down quickly and grabbed the puppy to pull it away. As I did this, the wolf was like eye level to me, just behind me, and I heard it snarl at the puppy and saw its jaws open out of the corner of my eyes--horrifying sight. I picked the puppy up and stood up, nothing ended up happening, but I'll never forget those teeth, the smile of death
