I was once diagnosed with broken heart syndrome and I, too, thought the doctor was lying or making a really bad joke. It was after I lost a baby right after giving birth. I have experienced more emotional trauma than any being should ever have to, but leaving the maternity ward of the hospital and going home without my baby after carrying a healthy soul for 9 months was the worst of all. And then I still had to go through the things that happen after giving birth….breast engorgement & leaking breast milk, keeping up with episiotomy care, etc. I knew I was severely depressed, because I did nothing but cry and sleep for weeks while my family looked after my toddler son. I got the diagnosis at my 6 week check up and I couldn’t believe what the doctor was saying. He explained that the extreme sadness I was suffering was literally starting to slowly work towards shutting my organs down & that if I didn’t start fighting it & regaining my will to live, then I could very well die. I was shocked by it, but still couldn’t pull myself from my grief. It was my oldest son that saved my life. He was just a toddler then & my family had been keeping him out of my room but after hearing the news from the doctor, my grandmother decided to bring my son into my room. I just cried & cried, but grandmother said “Look at this sweet boy’s face. Look how he lights up just to see yours, his momma’s. You still have him. Hold him.” I did what she said & I am 100% convinced that that is what saved my life. This is the first time ever sharing this publicly. Please don’t judge. I was very young when this happened to me.

I went through the same trauma 😪 but not the broken heart part or maybe I did and didn't know it. I was more angry then heart broken simply because why does God take a baby! Not to rain on your story but I lost three close people that month and that is where most of the anger came from! We as humans need others to break us out of our funk and had it not been for your son and my husband our out comes may have been totally different!!! Bless the living and love the angels in heaven!

*@Rudy’s* *got* *the* *chalk* 💔❤️‍🩹 Losing a loved one is more than *devastating.* Life continues on truckin’ around you no matter what, just like another day. Passing away from a broken heart *is* absolutely *plausible,* especially when you’re older. *(edited)* I lost my mom-mom “grandmother” just last year. She actually moved up to Pennsylvania a few years ago, so I rarely visited her due to that, which I completely regret now. I’d say that it was almost two years since I last seen her, solely because of work and being busy, like the majority. You can *NEVER* buy more time, so try and spend time with your older loved ones as much as you can. Life is strange, bizarre, dark, cruel, scary, hard, and difficult for the most part, but life *does* have beautiful moments… even if they’re rare.

I’m a woman who had an ER visit, about 5 years ago, and as the (male) Japanese doctor was reviewing my records, somehow, we began talking about a breakup I endured, months before. I told him I had NEVER experienced such pain and grief! He looked me STRAIGHT IN MY EYEYS AND SAID, “You CAN die from a broken heart!”. I was stunned! He told me about Japanese studies that proved so! I think of him, with reverence, from time to time, he was so compassionate and serious about me healing my “broken heart”.

you have to accept the pain. if you don't. you leave your inner child, and become two people. become fake tough, charismatic to compensate then you kill your inner child by resisting him and the outer you. the one you built strong, dies too. I remember how my heart hurt the worst. but every time it got less painful. I eventually didn't feel much. and even tried to keep it that way. killing my emotions. now I'm Spiritually dead. I enjoy almost nothing. I'm less human. I lost empathy and love. fear and pain are what's left. listen to my warning! accept the pain. realize it's not your fault, and you have to keep going. be honest. be real. be vulnerable and love. think good thoughts. look at my name I became evil. and died but I'm still here. let me tell you, love and being soft is a gift. don't waste it or you'll lose it and yourself forever.

@@VengefulPolititron guess soon either I'll become one too or leave this world soon. More than 5 months have passed after he told me to just leave after he actually hooked up with multiple girls. Those girls and even his friends started seeing me like a slut since he told me to leave after all these years. He hasn't even told me a thank you for i did in all these years(it made me think of thank you is for outsiders so is why he just treats me like this) or sorry for what happened. He couldn't pinpoint and tell me what i did wrong but yells at me, he even beat me once when i tried to find the reason why he left me, digitally blocked me in social media accounts. He had nothing to do with the term "moving on" too, which means i ment nothing in his life. Here i am struggling with sleeping disorders, sleeping around 4AM and waking up by 6AM OR 6:30AM, can't focus on anything, made suicide attempts (still not over it), not able to communicate with anyone in person, and above all that, that pain in the chest hasn't reduced a bit but becomes stronger at times, then i felt this must be some kind of illness and currently in this video.

@@angiangaline9600 Angi, like many people, you have been relying on others to survive. you need to take a break and think about who you really are. if you were on an island. and that island had a house and food. but you could bring 10 things. what would you bring? what do you like to do? what do you enjoy? who are you? take a personality test. see how your brain works. remember who you were as a child. before you got hurt. before people changed you. who you were as a carefree child. that's the real you. talk to Jesus. pray to God. He can help you. and He knows all your needs. depend on God. and take a break from trying to find happiness in people. people do not make you worth it. you are important all by yourself. make boundries. and don't give your heart to people so fast. wait. and don't have sex. just talk. and get to know people

@@hoesmad1456 of course but like my grandparents. They were married for 60 something years and were together everyday good or bad. My grandfather died wasn't very healthy and died over 3 years from diabetes while my grandmother was the face of health. When he died something broke inside of her. She died 10 days later at home in her sleep. She went from driving 45 mins to and from a hospital everyday to dead 4 days after we buried my grandfather. I don't know all the scientific terms but there is no doubt in my mind that the grief took many years off her life. My other grandmother that's 91 never shed a tear when her husband passed, he was an alcoholic and not very supportive from what I've been told. She smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day until 70, has had breast cancer, and yet still walks the beach every morning never missing a beat. People handle grief differently, having your world crushed can definitely lead to an old person's death if they can't handle it emotionally.

I absolutely love your video's, even though I'm now retired. I was in the UK NHS for 35 years, as a porter, working in Theatres, Emergency Rooms and the Mortuary. I was always curious and the medical staff often took the time to explain things, which was fantastic. I was often advised to do my nurse training, or Technician training but never did. I eventually ended up doing my Emergency Response ('Blue Light') driving course and becoming an Emergency Transplant Driver for the last 13 years of my working life. Anatomy still vaccinates me!

The Drs said my grandma passed away from a broken heart. She had early dementia and kept reliving the day when my grandpa went to war and never came home, she looked for him all over our house till eventually she just stopped wanting to eat or drink anything or she would scream at the top of her lungs and cry so hard if we tried calming her down, he was her everything. The Drs said she just gave up, she didn't want to fight so her heart gave up.

I believe it when they say people die from a broken heart.when people have been together years and years and they get old and one passes away the other just kind of give up on life and that's what I think of when I've seen a spouse passed away right after the other.

@Black Coffee I'm sorry to hear that. I'll never understand women who go after men with money. It's not like we can't make our own. If I had the chance, I'd be with the person I loved even if he were bankrupt. It's not his money I want. Just him. It's too bad I can never tell him though. That's heartbreaking enough.

I grew up in a bad home. The only person who cared was my elderly aunt. She was such a wonderful person, she would always feed anyone who came over, if they needed a place to sleep she would give them that to. Never cussed or said bad about others and she took care of me. She died from cancer one day when i was 20. My heart hurt so bad during that time. Its never stopped hurting since then like it got scard. I still miss her.

My first painful break up happened literally 4 days ago, and it hurt so much. I never thought I'd ever invest so much time into a person, expressing to them almost everyday exactly how much they meant to me, only for them to leave me for a person they met 2 weeks prior. I guess the other 9 months of laugher and love meant nothing to them. I feel fine now, but whenever I have a moment to stop and think the memories come back to haunt me.

That’s impressive @MLP Shawn . But she left you for someone else(my assumption). Mine left me because of me and what I had turned into without realizing it. I have been feeling a really big pain in my chest the past few days and so I looked it up and here we are. I hope you see this and give me some tips on how to recover.. even if it isn’t in 5 months.

Heartbroken is an understatement, I found it very hard to trust another woman due to certain things in my life, met the woman of my dreams 5 years ago, strange circumstances but blew me away how kind loving and amazing she was, in the back of my mind constantly I would always tell myself she is way too good for me and even though I had that thought things were going very well. Moved in together, built a life, home and made a family. Made some mistakes along the way mostly due to my insecurities and not accepting how loving and genuine this person was and that started to come out in little things I done. After a few years without realising I pushed her away to the point where I broke her heart and she had fallen out of love with me. She and our family was my life and now we come to the point where it’s finished no matter how much I wanted to make things work, change or try and it absolutely destroys me every single day, worse when you have kids. I will never get over this and hurts even when I think about anything related to it. Please don’t make the same mistake I did, more to the story but to make that short of someone really and truly loves you don’t push them away, if you have to get help and work through it. My pain and emotional state is so strong you really don’t want to ever experience that. Good luck and stay well. From a very broken and down heart. 😔

My 90 yr old mother died of, among other things, broken heart syndrome. She had contracted Influenza A, in between vaccinations, spent 10 days on oxygen etc in hospital, became negative to the flu. Three days later she died of pneumonia. I wonder if the stress of the flu was the cause of the broken heart as she had no heart condition that I know of and was an emphysema sufferer so was constantly checked for her breathing and heart. It rather shocked me when I was told by a physician about this. Mum had many traumas in her life, was stoic to her detriment, but I could not name one thing in particular which would cause this. I find these videos so incredibly informative, love the lightness at times, and my husband has donated his body to our local university and I am looking to do the same.

That happened to me a yr ago. I was already in the hospital getting an IV of potassium. I went into cardiac arrest and respiratory failure. I was on life support for 2 weeks but I made a full recovery. They diagnosed me with heart failure, and brought up the broken heart syndrome. But I was not in a traumatic situation! Nothing negative at all in my life!! The cardiologist kinda hinted around, asking if I had gotten the C vaccine? And yes I did! I'm a very healthy person, have never been in any situations that would overload my heart! So... God said I needed to stay here a little longer, and I'm grateful for that! Love your channel!!:😊😊
