Pokémon Go is a 2016 augmented reality (AR) mobile game developed and published by Niantic in collaboration with The Pokémon Company for iOS and Android devices. A part of the Pokémon franchise, the game is the result of a collaboration between Niantic, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. The game launched with around 150 species of Pokémon, which had increased to around 500 by 2019.
Pokémon Go was released to mixed reviews; critics praised the concept, but criticized technical problems. It was one of the most used and profitable mobile apps in 2016, having been downloaded more than 500 million times worldwide by the end of the year. It is credited with popularizing location-based and AR technology, promoting physical activity, and helping local businesses grow due to increased foot traffic. However, it attracted controversy for contributing to accidents and creating public nuisances. Various governments expressed concerns about security, and some countries regulate its use. By early 2019, the game had over a billion global downloads, grossing over $3 billion in revenue. The game also had over 147 million monthly active users as of May 2018.

They just be grabbing at those wallets. If they wanted to push content they would do community day for top tier battle league. I mean, they added a bunch of content for battle league…why not have event with boosted chance of BL Pokémon

Look, it’s not like there’s an infinite number of mons to choose from, ‘kay? Yes there are over a thousand, but they’re not gonna do legendaries, there are still over 150 that haven’t been brought to the game yet, and it seems to me they concentrate on mons with three evolution stages. That’s a pool of somewhere between 220 and 280. They’ve been doing comm days for at least three years now, so we’re already a good chunk of the way through. We’ve gotta start scraping the bottom of the barrel at some point to keep some good ones for later.

CD's are fun, and it fits grassy harvest theme of Autumn in Northern Hemisphere. Maybe there's a surprise CD classic or something super close to Halloween as the 12th and 19th are reserved for Raid and Research

It's better than what I predicted (Sqwovet and/or Wooloo due to the Dynamax). It does fit this year's Grass emphasis in CD. It's a traditional new shiny & double evolution... plus a new raid towards the Rising Star, Rising Star Duo, and Champion Medals. Not the best pick "for the Meta", but not everything has to be "for the Meta"...

The Halloween season in Pokémon Go is a large part of why I keep playing the game. To have it not Halloween-themed is unreal. Last year there were more zubat spawns which makes me worried for this year.

Get the shiny then stop playing that's what I do. Just enough to dex fill in then stop playing. This one I believe has had many spot light hours and I think that's where I got one.

Didn't they have a dud for ComDay in July? They had GoFest and the events leading up to GoFest that month. Maybe they gave us a dud for October planning on a really great Halloween event. 🤷‍♂️

It's October 5th, so 26 days away from Halloween. The argument for a Ghost/Dark type just because it's "Halloween", which again it's over 3 weeks away from Halloween, is a silly one if we look at October Community Days in the past: Beldum (2018), Trapinch (2019), Charmander (2020), Duskull (2021), Litwick (2022), Timburr (2023). Not even half of those are "Halloween" themed.

I like sewaddle but i don’t see this as in exciting community day as with most people aren’t gonna be excited about it either. Shadow claw is a fast charge move and maybe it might be useful but i don’t think it makes any sense in my opinion. A grass move or a bug move would have been better but would be destroyed so I guess i’ll get a few then call it a day. Thanks count.

Shiny is lame, event bonuses suck, sucks for raids, shadow claw actually makes it worse vs the meta in GBL - according to sims on pvpoke. I’d say he has every right to complain. It sucks.

Yeah, telling someone to delete the app just because they have an opinion you disagree with is a little crazy. But I do agree that he complains a ton while not offering much to the plate. When I first came across this channel a few months ago, it seemed like a decent, chill, informative channel so I was confused as to why the comments were always so whiny & negative, but after seeing more videos I understand why. You get the community that you foster.
