It sounds good straight piped, but you're going to be spending lots of time in it so do what works for comfort. I think I usually see you with ear pro on in the cabs, but still might be nicest to have a muffler in addition to the ear pro.

Nick, you are the one that has to drive it hour after hour,if it were me I would want it as quiet as possible. I’m retired OTR driver. I drove one truck for about 2 years, it had straight pipes. That continuous noise drove me crazy. I was never so happy when I got a new truck.

i'm glad you said that Nick about cleaning them hydraulic fittings, i watch a lot of farming videos and i cringe every time i see a lot of them just shove their fittings into those nasty grimy dirty couplers, i just shake my head.. then they complain when they are leaking and frozen up, it's like well, HELLO!!! You can also raise the jack on the cart more by undoing the bracket it is bolted to and raising up and then tighten the bracket again. It looked like you have another 3 inches to spare there. Muffler for the sprayer cos the straight pipe novelty will wear off very quickly when you're doing 10 plus hours in it.

We use mufflers on our irrigation engines like 3306 and 3406 cats that are strait through. We have many more engines around, that greater exposure can damage the hearing.

The biggest issue on those old delco mt 40 and 45s in the 855 Cummins. Is the little copper or brass strap that goes from the selonoid to the body of the starter they corrode slightly and then they get hot because of bad connections. If you shine them up they start 10 times better.

Depends how quiet the cab is on the brute. If it’s quiet inside then straight pipe it. If it’s loud, put a muffler on it. Sitting in that thing for hours with the exhaust screaming would not be pleasant after the first couple hours.

Nick brake cleaner is the best way of cleaning your remotes as it won't be in them that long & will blast all the bad things out & as soon as you hook them up, go up and run the fluid thru the lines, and then there will be little to no brake cleaner left at all in the remotes.

We have one tractor that is straight pipe, it’s cool for the first hour. After that it’s annoying unless you got ear plugs or ear buds in . I’m team muffler.
