Staci Stout is wonderful. How I wish she had not been locked into the revised arrangement of the lyrics and the tempo that they put together for the Bernadette Peters revival. The tempo changes actually take a lot of the humor out of the punch lines because they telegraph the intent too much. Also, rearranging the wonderful couplets at the end of each verse spoils things. By far the "topper" of all the verses is the last "A Tom, Dick or Harry" verse and it should end with the ultimate triple rhyme "...man may be hot but he's not when he's shot..." However, as I said at the beginning of this entry, Ms. Stout is wonderful.
