Had to re-upload to fix a small sync issue that was bugging the hell out of me. Hopefully I didn't shoot myself in the foot.

Great harmonies man! Would love to hear Better Living Through Chemistry or Kalopsia as next ones
@TrisonBoyesMusic3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I've been tempted to try Better Living a couple of times, but Kalopsia is an interesting proposition... Haven't really done any covers from after era vulgaris yet so I guess it's past due.

Thanks man! I'm slowly working my way up to doing live-streams, just want to make sure I can keep my audio quality up. There's a certain comfort in doing videos that at least I can do another take if I blank on the words haha. Might not be able to duplicate myself like this one live though!

😂😅 thank you from me, myself and I. I definitely had a moment at their show in Toronto that I thought they were going to bust this one out and I was so ready for it... Sadly it was not to be, but hopefully you get your wish!

my fav cover of this!! please give tabs i beg
@TrisonBoyesMusic11 ай бұрын
Aw thanks friend. Honestly, this one is pretty much just the standard tab for the song you can find. I think the biggest thing I change is just locations on the fretboard for notes to make things easier for acoustic. Honestly with a lot of these songs I feel like tabbing it out would only confuse people more 🤣. I just played the bassline on the other guitar 😅

Dude, hell of a cover! Mind if I ask what chords you’re playing during the “you’re solid gold, see you in hell” part from 2:34 onward?It’s the only part of the song I can’t seem to get down/ figure out
@TrisonBoyesMusic3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! The chords from that point are F, G, C# and D#. For the first few passes you'll play it over the riff in F on the bass, and then the bass will follow along the roots. This is one of the qotsa covers that I actually tuned down to C-Standard, so the fret positions will lie!

Someone help me with the chords!!!
@TrisonBoyesMusic3 жыл бұрын
Hey bud, any spot in particular that's giving you trouble? Remember the guitars are tuned to C-Standard. It's actually pretty close to most of the tabs for this song already out there, so I don't think I've done anything too crazy.
@TrisonBoyesMusic3 жыл бұрын
@@guywoaclue359 Honestly, you could probably get away with throwing a capo on the 1st fret in e-standard and going for it from there, as the open F note is the only essential part for this song. I don't think there's any real need for the C-F notes on the open C string in C standard (that I can remember, I don't have a guitar with me at the moment). That being said, I've learned the fiddly bits in C-Standard, and while they don't really change a lot there's a few things that you'll need to shift if you keep it in E-Standard and the less I need to think about what I'm playing, the better. Also, even playing the same note on different strings will have slightly different timbres, and I just like how it sounds in C-Standard at the end of the day haha.
@TrisonBoyesMusic3 жыл бұрын
@@guywoaclue359 Ah nice! I was actually inspired to do this cover after finding his haha. I usually find my process is to learn the original way first, and then take some inspiration from other covers when I'm doing these.
