Why do engineers need to be good at maths? In this video I help explain why maths is a required skill to have if you want to be an engineer such as an aerospace, mechanical, electrical, civil engineer. There are many reasons why engineers need maths and I explain a few main reasons why.

Who am I?
My name is Sagar, I am living in London and am working as a software engineer. I am also a first-class MEng aerospace engineering graduate in the UK at the University of Sheffield. In my channel, I post videos about engineering, technology, university life and careers. If you're a university student or planning to study at a university in the UK or anywhere else, consider subscribing as I will make helpful videos to help you make the most of university.
Currently, my schedule is to post a new video every Saturday at 16:00 so subscribe and expect great content!

Yes you have to be able to adapt to existing concepts. But you dont have to be a maths guru

Great video !! Thanks for sharing with us your experience. Can you make a video about the best books for self-taught aerospace enginners? I graduaded in mechanical enginner with a major in mechanical design and e wanted to learn more about aerospace ( Perhaps I will try to get an Msc in AE).

hey, i hope you or someone else can answer my question. i plan on doing a BEng in aerospace engineering in the uk, then maybe a masters. how easy is it for aerospace engineers to get jobs in other engineering fields, like mechanical or maybe even environmental?

Hi, I got a grade 5 at gcse maths therefore I wasn’t great but not bad, I’m now studying mechatronics engineering as a level 3 extended diploma therefore I’ve applied for university. However I’m worried about the maths. I’ve applied for aerospace at Sheffield Hallam. My college course states that it involves maths but I have learnt literally nothing since gcse regarding maths. Will I struggle at uni with the maths ?
