So based on what John Moran said around mid chapter 4, 7:10 … does this basically mean Quality Score is crap because Smart Bidding is based purely around the highest bid & CPC available (in his example of available buyers, the 10/100 people)? Is Quality Score just a hoax??

Google actually has stopped using QS to calculate ad rank… so to a certain degree it is. It’s more of a signal for advertisers to know what they need to improve (ad copy, LP etc.).

So from what I am hearing. If a person searches for something for the first time they will be less likely to show up in your search as google wouldn't deem them as likely good conversation?

Based on the 10 ppl in the room that Google knows they are about to purchase analogy, and how the algorithm sometimes serves your product for random keywords just because it knows the person is ready to buy, why bother adding negative keywords? Wouldn't adding them cause more bad then good based on this? I do see a lot of conversions for super random terms that have nothing to do with our product, that's why I am curious about adding to many negatives or letting the algorithm do it's thing even in Standard Shopping.

wow thats insane. now with this strategy can i just change the converion goals that were valuable to me "calls & form submissions" to secondary and change the one specific converion that wasnt bringing any converions to primary? just so google doesn't know whats actually valuable to me. any suggestions? thanks
