Every time John says “keller” (“color” in Pittsbrughese), it hits me right in the Yinzer feels. Signed, a native Pittsburgher currently living in exile in the Midwest.
@timthompson7205
@timthompson7205 2 жыл бұрын
Don’t worry man. As far as Americans are concerned the entire east is the Midwest. By American logic Pittsburgh is in the Midwest. It’s as Far East as you can go so it’s clearly west. Ask an American , Europe is a part of the western world. They probably say that because it’s on the eastern hemisphere.

I’ll be honest, I think we have different definitions of ‘basic tools’. Awesome build regardless. Edit: To be clear, I wasn’t meaning anything against the lads. I was mainly thinking of the welding shenanigans when I made this comment. But really I’m just mad that I don’t have a sweet as shop to build stuff in.

fold up wooden curing oven might be a cool (excuse the pun) to build, if mounted to the wall with wings and a lid you can store it away, it can have heat lamps installed. So when you next do a pour and build you can do it in a prebuilt level floor with a humungous drip tray underneath. If you are clever the floor could be a weight table so you know how much you have poured. Needs a built in CO2 extinguisher, Idea for a new build ?

so i build custom concrete counter tops. Mostly really high end stuff. We do counter tops, tables, sinks, i mean mostly anything. Something we did in our shop is build these tables that are made out of MDF and epoxy. So its a full sheet of 4x8 MDF and we put some Strips of plywood about 1 inch wide along all the edges. Then we poured some epoxy onto the table basically cause a 1 inch thick layer of epoxy over the table. Before doing that we used a laser level to create a grid on the table with 4inch by 4 inch squared boxes. Once the epoxy was dry we sanded the tables down using a 200 grit up to about 1000. When ever we are making a counter or any custom mold really we just use Melamine to create the form. if its a 3-inch-thick table then we cut 3 inch thick strips and hot glue them right to the table top. Ofcourse we coat the inside of the form with a polish so that it does not stick.
