I've intuitively not been saying "my anxiety* I don't want to own it. I also have just been saying"I am experiencing anxiety "...damn this rough. Things that are helping me. One, exercise, two no caffeine...NONE. Three, getting proper sleep. Four, letting go of the past and future..(hard one). Eating lots of fermented foods! Meditation and prayer of sorts. Michael Singers book the untethered soul. Thank you for this video. I subscribed and am looking forward to seeing more and learning.

Glad the videos are proving of value. Really good to see you’re taking an active role in getting the other side. Proper sleep and letting go of the past and future are the one that jumped out on your list as super valuable. Thanks for subscribing. Hope the videos continue to be helpful.

My anxiety is all in my head. Depersonalisation. It's always been so weird. I had this as a teenager and now it's back a little bit. I'm 65. I thought I would never feel like that again. I do meditate,work out,self talk,challenge the thoughts. I feel I'm constantly challenging the thoughts. Gbless you Tim. 🙏🏼👼🏼💙

I have a video on depersonalisation that might help here. Basically it’s often the attempts to resist those feelings that perpetuate them. Recognising that any dissociation is natural and not a cause for alarm can help us accept those sensations so we don’t have any of those scary thoughts to challenge.

My reason is not accepting aging and knowing that I can't change it as I have always changed what I didn't like this time I can't. I have been physical all my life at present 81 and female. My balance has been affected and I can't change it. Created by a hip replacement in 2014. Had a mild stroke, can't come to terms with inability to be active. Its been a lifestyle and mindset. I feel despondent as I was still very active at 75. I dont like feeling so week and know I dont have much time left. I hate inactivity. My children live overseas and I miss them. All my friends have either passed or are ill. All seem happy to sit and watch TV or do puzzles and read. I need to move. A mild stroke has over the past 8yrs gradually affected balance which is frightening. I don't want to die but I don't know how to live this way. In the past days were too short to get everything done now there is too much time to do nothing. Its depressing.

I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through. When life changes to the point where we can no longer engage in the activities that brought us joy it can be very difficult. I think the best we can do in these situations is recognise that the more focus we place on the things outside of our control the more helpless we feel, and as a result inevitably become. Our best course of action is to instead focus on the things that remain within our control. The more we focus on those things the more continued agency we perceive and the less likely we are to exacerbate our limitations with negativity. Whilst it might seem like everything that brings you happiness is out of your reach sometimes we become forced to find different happiness. Not better, not worse, just different. I hope this thought helps.

Thank you!!! ❤❤❤ i will use this advice nect time i see my dr who ignores my health issues and tells me i need to take my anxiety meds. I take my meds and i still have jaw pain and swollen lymphnodes and thats not caused by taking a pill that helps dumb down an emotional responce. I dont have anxiety i feel anxiety when my body is doing something that puts me in an anxious mind state and even more so when a dr ignores my concern

Understanding the point made in this video is just one of the steps towards getting the other side of any anxiety issue. Unfortunately everyone’s path is a little different and unique to them depending on what is currently causing the issue. A huge step would be to understand why YOU feel nothing is changing right now. This is the sort of thing you could explore with a therapist if necessary.

So what if your neurotransmitters are low? It causes anxiety as well. How do you fix low norepinephrine and epinephrine and histamine? Mines are low and I have anxiety and insomnia and overthinking the list goes on. Any suggestions?
@TimBoxMindCoach3 ай бұрын
@@KathyChapman-y9g whilst I’m no doctor or psychiatrist it’s my understanding that neurotransmitter levels fluctuate wildly depending on state of mind and influenced by diet and exercise, so any measurement of neurotransmitter levels will simply tell you where you are at that specific time. This falls in line with my point that anxiety is not some fixed state that you either ‘have’ or you don’t. My best advice would be to let go of the list of things you mentioned that you feel you ‘have’ and start changing the way you think about the way you think. The way we think, feel or behave is much more influenced by our environment and our learnt responses than by any problem with our neurotransmitter levels. Hope this answer is of value.

Hello Tim, thank you so much for making everything more understanding ❤️ Can I ask you what about if you feel regret, guilt and shame because the way how you feel or felt in the past and your ego is driving you crazy and stopping you from making changes in your life because of it. Also deep desire to be where you use to be and you feel panic, when you don't feel this way anymore. Thank you very much ❤️

Sandra, it may well be because you are trying to get rid of it. There's a lot of content on the channel about the negative effects of resisting our natural anxiety response and that very approach causing anxiety to get more intense.
