I regularly wake up in the middle of the night covered in hives and coughing. It’s extremely painful and terrifying. I always wondered if if I had a panic attack in my sleep

Some people have more than just anxiety episodes ‘ there nerves come completely off balance and need made to just get out of bed ‘ when your nerves become truly sensitized , anxiety attacks are the least of your worry’s , because you feel so utterly ill .

Hey buddy ‘ my worst to anxiety relapses happen during major changes in my life ‘ when i was 19 moved out on my own for the first time with a girlfriend ‘ i caught my self just dwelling and questioning is this the life i want then bam ‘ anxiety that led to sensitized nerves to the point i literally felt like i was dying - couldn’t eat , sleep or relax for years ‘ did a program got better ‘ never really over came anxiety but over the past 20 years learned to deal with it i guess you can say . Recently , i got into a new relationship, started doubting everything good about it and bam a major relapse ‘ felt ill for 2 months , i tell you what ‘ when i have anxiety my nerves get so sensitized I literally have every symptom I hear multiple people talking about on anxiety channels all combine ‘ lucky me , but I stay positive and still fight .. what would be your advice , I’m on a low-dose of SRI ‘ because I don’t want to take anything too high of a dose for the purpose of getting addicted , or relying on them .. what would you recommend I do for how would you handle anxiety if it was how I explain to a degree ‘ I know I have a longer story to tell, but that’s just something I’ve noticed with my anxiety .

It’s not ideal, but it’s a very natural response when we’ve started to fear our own anxiety. I have a video that explains this effect in full: Morning Anxiety: Why You Feel Anxious When You Wake Up (and What You Can Do About It) kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3SxqJluprdpnpY Hope you find it helpful.

As an Anglo-American, I believe culturally my family has always held an unspoken rule to 'control one's emotions' (rather than master them). We did not speak openly about emotion or display it much (if at all). Perhaps it is this bottling up and 'going at it alone' that stifles emotional coping and normalization in later years...

Help . I’m struggling with anxiety and depression. I need help please. 😢
@milbronjames17 күн бұрын
I guess the thing that i struggle with is the fact that, even if it is an emotion and not an illness, a person can suffer a mental breakdown and have real consequences from too much anxiety. I am trying to be ok with this as a possibility so that i can stop living in fear of anxiety
@TimBoxMindCoach16 күн бұрын
Whilst anxiety is common, mental breakdowns are rare, and the majority of them happen over time to those that don’t seek help. The fact you’re here means you have probably already lifted yourself out of the vulnerable group. Hope this thought helps.

@@TimBoxMindCoach Thank you Tim, I will sit with that thought. I heard your TED Talk many years ago when I was going through a very difficult time and had far fewer tools to cope, it was extremely helpful. Going through a rough patch now, have been listening to your channel, and just listened to your audiobook. Appreciate all of the great help you have provided me through difficult times.

Have your own christmas before you go elsewhere, sleep enough, Go where you want, arrive when you want, stop, take a rest even if you are going to be late, leave when you want, leave early if you are fed up, eat what you want, go to the Burger king if the food won’t be ready when you arrive,get some fresh air, drink what you want, take a nap, stop your parents giving your kids too much candy, and don’t be afraid to be honest. If the food looks like shit don’t try it, don’t have diarrhea just to make someone happy.Choose the ones who choose you, try to have meaningful conversations. And remember if you are the one who travels you already took the first step you have the upper hand don’t let anyone hurt you. You can end it whenever you like to.

I was very anxious and down during the cold, dreary winter weather. I resolved to put up the Christmas lights and decorations early and turned the electric fireplace on and some light jazz and classical music. It definitely changed the atmosphere and mood.
