I've been running my e6 March as a solo sustain for my 2nd MoC team for a little while now and I was very impressed by her performance, I do agree that this is definitely the better way to play March as a solo sustain but she has her limits, ineffective against enemies with innate freeze resistance/immunity and also falls off drastically in fights where there's a lot of AoE dmg being dealt to your team. She's definitely worth the investment if you lack good defensive option on your account she can do the job...

I see it like this, early game - march is valuable, mid game - she falls off, end game - she is valuable again. The stronger your units are the lesser you need shields. Freezebot is her strongest utility which also freezes aoe enemies. I m delaying those aoe fishes and kill them before they starts attacking. It just depends on the team and your progress. Sure you cannot or should not run her against enemies who are immun to freeze haha, who would do that. It s like Ayaka in Genshin vs freeze immun enemies.

I also use March this way. My tip is if there is 2 boss in the floor. Fight the boss with Single target damage first. This way, you will preserve more HP when you fight the second one with AoE damage.

I still personally think March has several things over Gepard. 9 more base speed, aoe freeze, longer shield duration, debuff removal, aggro modifer on shield higher than Gepard's ascension passive, more toughness shred through talent, and cutting off enemy extra actions using Ult CC. He does have higher base defense by 81 but even then her shield multiplier is higher (57%>45%). But yeah aoe shield go brrr.

She need insane amount of effect hit rate. Relic have 4 stat, so the chance for roll to land on effect hit rate is 25%, you need a good luck to have march build like this

I have started to build March now. I now have 65% EHR, with Pela's trace, that goes up to 75%. I can hit Freezes 80% at a time vs Elite (30% Effect Res) enemies.

This sure remind me of when Luocha banner comes out. People were saying such thing like "skip Luocha if you have Bailu and Natasha" and even said they're better than him and you don't need him but in the end of the day those two got powercrept and get replaced by Luocha and will get another powercrept from Lyxn and Luocha still on top. Currently people were saying to skip Fu xuan if you have march and gepard but the same thing will probably happens to them like what happened to Bailu and Natasha. Although they're better for character who need shield like yanqing but they shield will be useless once hoyo release an enemy with shield piercing like in genshin

Bro. Shield pen in gi can be by pass with dodge (skill issue). If they let shield pen in hsr there is no counter play except abundance class who can heal. They should delete the preservation class too. Bc its useless now. Its like fuck the shield then what left for preservation?

Tbh march feels so nice with any destruction since the combined taunt value is so high u can funnel all the energy and dmg into that character and she only has to shield them pretty much esp since destruction characters tend to be energy hungry since they r balanced around getting hit Feels nice when making teams that destruction + march is already a very hard to kill team regardless of the other two characters and I can’t wait to own destruction of every element to make any team core I want

Gepard's light cone is really good on March, especially with the effect hit rate and the added taunt value for the self shielding strat. With Gepard's LC, March can reach the highest taunt value in the game.

That light cone makes it easier to use the defence planar ornaments sets' 2nd condition of achieving 15% more def if you have 50% eff hit rate or more which is already awesome to make a freeze bot and def build march

Thank you for this video, I've been running solo sustain March since before i got luocha and she's never let me down against ice-weak enemies (ik she can sustain by freezing even against non-weakness, but i had other options). Being one of the two only units in the game that can "cancel" an elite enemy's extra turn by cc-ing them, March is easily a top-tier sustain unit, all for FREE no less.

Unless you’re running March with Gepard’s lightcone and/or e2 Silver Wolf, I think an effect hit rate of 120% is difficult to achieve. Even with an effect hit rate body, you’d need an average of 20 effect hit rate rolls from your other five relics to reach that threshold. This will neuter her own personal damage to a high degree

Yeah this. Though I think the damage portion is a bit insignificant since most people don't expect their other sustain units to do a lot of damage either. I think this build is awesome but I'd argue it's even easier for f2p to just get Fu Xuan/Luocha than to build March like this due to the amount of luck needed to get to that EHR. I ran the numbers and to get 100% EHR you need around 11% on all other relics if your rope doesn't have EHr and around 8% on all if it has. That's an insane amount of rng there. It's almost similar to investing in another DPS - if not more. Whereas with someone like Luocha, you don't need to really care about the rng rolls to have him as your solo sustain.

With that that much EHR, would pan-cosmic commercial enterprise not be better than inert? Her follow up(counter) only triggers twice per turn, and both it and her ult are based off atk in the first place. Which would help.

This only made me want Fu Xuan more since I got Clara. Clara’s Atk Build is ridiculously strong and can easily deplete a boss completely by accident at times. I’ve been using Def Build Match with her but need someone who can stick to their role better. Having Fu Xuan and Silverwolf together would complete my team properly.

March def is definitely better for clara than Fu Xuan since she can pull aggro off of Clara which isn't really preferred most of the time. I'd think both Fu Xuan and Silver Wolf would benefit a lot more if used in other teams, Clara only needs March and Lynx, and Tingyun can easily be a good sidegrade to Silver Wolf if not an upgrade because of how important energy is for Clara

@@theguy5077 Fu Xuan doesn't have any additional aggro modifiers other than the base for Preservation and is able to work as a solo sustain which March cannot on a def shield bot build. March's freeze build is terrible for Clara since Clara does want to get hit. Fu Xuan is by far the best solo sustain option for Clara. Clara will still have the highest aggro value and be comically tanky.

There is more to this than just play freeze march. You need other characters well built too, full auto unfriendly, monke can still 1 shot you cuz she shields a single character etc. But lets not point out a single downside snd why ppl dont want to use her actually

She's actually great on monkey, if she shields herself she draws the target, if she shields someone else they're free to use skill and ignore the mechanic that delays the entire fight. Freezing can control his ramping speed too. People don't want to use her because she's free or they don't know how, the only valid statement is talking about auto, yet it's not an argument for what the character can do.

Thanks a lot for sharing the freeze March build ! It seems viable and interesting but requires lots of investment in terms of relic farming: We have to go for specific stats like effect hit rate, energy recharge and especially speed which is quite rare to get. Also certain ennemies may have high resistance to the frozen status effect. No matter what I think Fu Xuan's banner will be tremendously good especially for f2p players to build up a second team for MoC. Xuan is much easier to build and we can get broken Lynx in that banner too. After obtaining both of them, we can have time building them to max and patiently wait for Silver Wolf's rerun banner for a prety decent Mono Quantum team to do MoC. If your March is currently low-investment and only stacked with defense, then it's much better to pair her with Fire MC for great sustenance. P/S: Of course for f2p players if you don't have enough jades to pull for Fu Xuan, it's okay to skip her and go for upcoming strong characters to buid up decent dps first, or pull for the one that you love the most... #never_fomo

Fu Xuan is the objectively best pick for mono-quantum. She is also better for Clara. Blade has a few options but Fu is a great one. Just because March works well doesn't mean she is ideal for every team. Regardless, no one really 'needs' any specific limited characters as the only challenging content is optional content.

I think March is good when enemies dont do adjacent attacks or AoE because then you are now forced to shield everyone, although if you can keep freezing the enemies every 2 turn then yes, she is not as bad as people says.

There is actually more to this, because Fu xuan's skill gives Crit rate, she is meant to function with traditional Carries that Bruteforce trough enemy regarless of their weaknesses, aka, Seele, Blade, Imbibitor Lunae and future topaz and Jingliu, for breakers she is probably less valuable, unless you also have Silver Wolf

​@@immortalinferno8809Sadly the number of naturally Quantum weakness enemies is irrelevant. It all depends on what miHoYo "offers" us in MoC. MoC 1.2 and 1.3 respectively have 1 and 2 stages in which Elites already have Quantum weakness in the beginning. I'm only counting stages 6-10 though, because 1-5 are not considered challenging for day 1 players anymore.

Yeah,you can use mono quantum against anything, but ig you have a carry of a different element and the enemy already has a weakness to quantum, yeah, fu xuan being a sustainer, allows you to do that, you know when will it actually get Crazy? When we get a Harmony quantum 5 star, the between the Harmony, Fu xuan and SW, you just need a carry of any element, but in the meantime, I plan to use fu xuan, qq, seele and Sw for one if the teams and the second team I tailor it towards enemy weakness, I think thats her best selling point, enableling to just forget about one half of MoC afinity privided you have all the other quantum units

I completely abandoned march around level 40-50 and never looked back because I just thought she was a mid tank, and I got gepard(whos a million times better as a tank) on a free roll . Never realized how ridiculously OP she really is(when built correctly), now that shes desperately needed for SU swarm. This is exactly how she needs to be built in order to beat the upper tier contents(unless youre just a swiper, then it doesnt matter)

I think March is the most underrated char in HSR to date. I've been using her since day one and I doubt I would be clearing MOC without her.

I can agree with this. Although I am not as invested into MoC as Lily is, my E1 M7 can sustain my team without issues on 101% EHR with lower speed (will try to get better SPD for future MoC runs). The thing is, that my M7 is not even close to her full potential and she is already doing a great job. Unless enemies that ignore taunt (unlikely) appear, M7 is more than enough for a team with good sinergy on a follow up with freeze. You guys out there with Kafka on your roster should try out a Kafka team with M7 freeze bot, it is crazy.

The aurumaton second strike and the decaying shadows shards attack are random hits and ignore taunts so that's already a thing...

I mean this vid is good and March is definitely strong as I'm still using her, but you should know that people are pulling for Fu Xuan for other reasons? Mono Quantum is the main reason why because she can solo sustain that team, also she offers crit rate even at E0 and March isn't Quantum. If Fu Xuan's element is different, yeah I can say that her value will be lower.

If you use that on March, she will be able to counterattack more and gain more energy so that’s good. Plus with Gepard’s LC, you won’t need to build as much effect hit rate since it already gives some.

I mostly pair march with clara, but the thing is, during moc 10, I need march to freeze the enemies in the 3rd wave in first half. Those enemies have more than 200 speed, so when they charge the 10 stacks thing, March's freeze is good to slow them down to break their attack tempo. If they attack at the same time, my team would have been unable to survive

As much as I like M7(she carried me through several MoC cycles) and understand what video is about, it is kinda misleading. M7 is enough for now, but I really doubt that it will stay that way. Knowing all too well how hoyo design difficulty, there is no chance that we won't have mobs who are resistant to freeze/cc(which we already somewhat have) or even those who ignore shields all together. "oh, it won't happen and even if it happens - just place her on the other side and you're good to go", but those enemies can be on both sides and what next? Here are my view on it: 1. M7 isn't comfy. You need to play her manually otherwise she doesn't work, and taking into account that we do most of the content on auto(and probably even all of it in the future) - she just doesn't fit. 2. She isn't futureproof. I've already wrote my bit about it, don't think there is smth to add. 3. 5* supports/sustain should be considered as a #1 priority for (almost) anyone. This is completely subjective, but given the scarcity of choice, especially for sustains - these characters will be a staple for player's team for a long time(maybe even till the literal "game end"), so they will get their value back making player's life easier in the process. Love your content, this is just some food for thought.

I get part of what you're saying, but I just don't see myself putting this much weight on auto content. To me, autoable content isn't content, it's cutscenes that I play on the background in order to get rewards to make my character stronger. Farming calyxes, or the generic battles in SU, that stuff just doesn't matter, so who cares if she doesn't work that well on auto? It's a non issue in all the content that actually matters, mainly Forgotten hall or SU bosses. I know you can still technically use auto battle on those fights, but respectfully, if you are looking to auto that stuff too, why are you even playing the game in the first place? I play games to enjoy gameplay, and auto battles aren't gameplay. Setting aside that FH much more challenging and often requires manual input in the first place, if you could auto clear all that then what are you even left with? There's no game left, it's just pretty cutscenes.

March Clara is soo good. Shielding Clara with max defense. But in this comp she needs to be paired with Natasha or another healer + tingyun. FMCs solo sustain has proven to be good enough with seele Asta silverwolf on my account. Or March pela sw seele. I just need another healer on my account for Blade tbh. Hopefully everyone gets a lynx.

She is great only when you are fighting enemies with no AoE. This kinda of games Always progress into AoE. If a sustain character has AoE def/res/cleanse abilities, they are considered valuable. Target them with your pulls.

This only works if your dps is built with like 80% completion + the rest of the team is built at least 70% completion. If your teams like mine, where only one of my characters out of 4 is built to 80% completion then needing someone who can tank hits is needed. But yeah, if you were lucky to have good built characters then m7 is pretty good.

@@ch1dd Can't believe I have to explain this. In order to get all the rewards and 3 star moc, you need to kill all enemies under 28 rounds and not have any ally die. If your team is built pretty badly or average but ur march is cracked, then yes she will do her job but the rest of the team will take too long to kill all the enemies. Which is why you need a well built team overall to even let march do her job. But if you have fu-xuan you can get away with mediocre characters since she will keep them alive and so much more since her kit is so overloaded.

@@idk6465 This makes no sense, the sides you use march are heavy on single target attacks, and she shields herself to draw aggro and solo sustain. You have one extra slot to complement damage because you don't need a second sustain and she manipulates aggro. How can you think "your team needs to be half built" is an argument for anything?

Of course you can clear the content with just 4* but you need almost double if not triple the resources in order to make them do the same job but at a much lesser degree. Otherwise might as well not pull at all and skip every character because you "waste resources".
