As amazing as this technique looks, it goes to show how good the Saber plugin really is, especially since it is free to the public. As someone once said, a lazy person is always better for a difficult job, because he/she will find an easier way to get it done.
@MichaelPonch3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely.....and I admit that I use plugins when I have tight deadlines. And even saber. However, I think with this slower technique you can experiment with unique styles. Sometimes I don’t want my works look like.....ah, he used saber/optical flares/trapcode 😂

You are awesome dude, it would be cool if you could continue showing how to make popular cool plugin effects from scratch. Plugins are great and all and certainly streamline processes and make things easier, but as you have proven in your video, plugins sometimes hold us back and prevent us from doing cool things we would never even know about. Keep up the good work

When you use a text layer you have to convert them it to shape layers as well. Then you can use “Trim” operator to reveal the logo/text. This is what I mentioned at the end of my tutorial.

For a simple reveal it might be better to use the original Saber Plugin directly. Unfortunately I can’t give you a technical solution for your problem as I don’t know the circumstances of your system. But I’m sure that Videocopilot has a technical service for that😎

thats cool but the saber plugin is way faster

Thank you 😊. Absolutely and I admit I use Saber for projects with tight deadlines. My point was that you can go beyond and create your own look that doesn’t “smell” like a Saber. As most users always use the given presets 😂

Hi. I’m not at my PC at the moment so I can only guess right now. Maybe you missed a step. Have you unchecked ‘RGB only’ in the CC. Composite Effect? I’ll check it as soon as I’m at my PC again 😎

Great 👍🏻. Happy you found alternative techniques. You can do more than the plugins offers. You can even use image sequences (I’m planning a tutorial right now)
