Since this was just for me I just super glued them in there. If I was sending this out I think there would be a few work around. First one that comes to my head is countersink drill a hole in the white from the backside for each put a small dowel of wood inside the metal and fasten them in that way. Normally those metal stand offs are screwed in directly into walls or thicker material.

I can’t really speak to the Wecreat even though they have requested that I do a review on their machine, I have declined because I prefer to not share start up companies with my audience as I have done it in the past and the company went under and disappeared and I felt terrible for misleading everyone. I can feel confident in Xtool because they are extremely well established and will continue to provide software updates and support to their customers. It might cost a bit more but my recommendation stands with the S1 for the beginner and advanced users.

Disclaimer: I've already purchased a 40w S1, it just hasn't arrived yet. Couple of questions though: 1- What's the diameter of the duct hose for the smoke exhaust? I'm going to need to extend it a bit to get to my window, and I want to add a window venting kit to keep air and bugs out of my house. 2- Did you find it difficult to engrave the pet tag without a camera? I've seen videos where they struggle to engrave when it's a round picture that's close to the edge around the circle, because you have to be able to find the center point of the object. High accuracy seems almost impossible in this scenario. I'm excited to use my S1 (it's my first laser cutter/engraver), but I'm really concerned about any sort of accuracy on non-square objects. As hard as a circle seems, some irregularly-shaped objects seem almost impossible to consider at this point. Edit: great video by the way, I love that you chose a wide variety of objects, materials, and techniques!
@ChadsCustomCreations Жыл бұрын
Great choice I know you will love it. The ducting is 3” I am sure they will make some software updates to accommodate different shaped items which will make it easier and speed things up but there are a few work arounds for now. You can put down a piece of scrap material and engrave a circle in the same size as the tag then you can place it there and have perfect placement. In my video I believe I marked the left side then the right side with the twin point and centered in on my screen which also worked for me and was quite quick.

Great review but onw detail cough me doubting.. You've mentioned that it would be graleat if multiply was possible. I though it can multiply based on first scanned object like M1 Ultra do? This model also does not comes with camera . I think that was M1 I've watched and someone with click.of 1 button in software which is the same, has multiplied engraved object and did all at once. I think it was with the picture method which also works on S1 right, that you make a picture with app on phone and then it appears in software. I need go back to my history on YT just to check that. I think S1 can do it too

I am a fan of the invest as you grow business model. I started out with a scroll saw and paper printed templates back in 2012. With that in mind I would say the S1 is a great starting machine to prove a business model or product idea and if things grow you will be able to fund improvements such as an upgrade to the p2 in the future if you find you need to ramp things up to the next level.

@@ChadsCustomCreations thank you for your answer, yes starting is not always easy, for the moment I create with the ortur master 2 pro, but I admit that the speed is not comparable and the power is still lacking which limits me in quite a few projects.especially in larger wood and acrylic. glad to see your videos in any case thank you 👌

@@ChadsCustomCreations Chad, I need honest direction. I’m currently running a 10w diode and seriously need to up grade, but not out of the garage just yet. Which would be the better: the S1 or the P2? I need to effectively run products and be able to produce clean cuts. What are your thoughts?
@ChadsCustomCreations Жыл бұрын
@@littleeaglewoodworks lots of factors to consider, to me diode lasers produce better engravings, and now that they have the 20w and 40w they can cut like Co2 lasers now also. The down side to the diodes is they don’t have the ability to cut or engrave most acrylics but I can ignore that since I rarely use that stuff anyways. The price of the S1 is pretty incredible considering all it offers. The P2 has a bigger work area and those cameras are such a pleasure to use. But is does come at a much higher cost.
