@Innocent Bystander I hate to get involved in this, but I want to remind you that she did not say that. I know supporting Israel is extremely controversial right now, but that doesn't mean that she literally wants people to die. In the tweet she wrote she wasn't referring to the Israeli militia, but the civilians that she empathizes with. I sincerely doubt that she supports genocide. She just has a perspective on the humanity of certain people there that we do not, and that doesn't mean she agrees with their government/military. TL;DR, she doesn't support what her country is doing, she understands that not everyone there is bad, and thus worries for their safety. I will indulge you, however, by saying that her tweet could have been more clear. She was trying to tread lightly, but that made her appear insensitive.

This scene perfectly shows what can happen when to complete strangers who don’t know each other well are as the phrase goes: stuck in the same boat. She comes from a place of strict discipline, and no males while he comes from a family where valuing women is an honorable thing. She’s innocently naïve, emotionally impulsive, and used to her cultural customs, while he’s more worldly regarding the outside world, especially the nature of wartime. After seeing what she can do, I don’t think he was trying to get her in bed in this scene, but was attracted to her as a person. She came at it from a completely different point of view due to her culture and upbringing. Two different strangers from different worlds, upbringing, and experiences, therefore creating an entirely awkward situation for them both when “stuck in the same boat.“ I like it 👍

Summed it up perfectly. Two characters that have personality, conflict & real growth that you can feel alongside with a common goal. A Lot of movies make the common goal the hinging point of any character development which is why a lot of these new movies suck. There needs to be a bit of conflicting ideas for the characters even uf they are after the same thing so we actually give af about them succeeding. Bravo sir.

Whats makes this great is that it has the tension of a normal conversation. As in very easy going, they tend to somewhat talk over each other or cutting off ones words but not in a rude way. More realistic I say. And from what I’ve heard it this was unscripted and all improvised and relied more on chemistry which is great. Much like the first Iron Man. In ways, this could be the DCEU’s Iron Man. A great solo film than helps to develop it’s character and with great interaction amongst the cast.

David Jones What has changed is more people look for physical pleasure and with how technology has improved its become even more tempting to cheat. As a whole each new generation is losing that bond that marriage had. That's what changed. Thats why our grandparents and great grandparents didnt have this problem, among other reasons. And no, I have quite a sense of humor. But you made the joke a bit more personal towards him by implying his relationships were bad and implied that's why you think he created the comment. Which, in fact, is wrong. And yeah, technically I'm a kid. What's your point? I might not have the most experience of age but I definitely know topics like these. Marriage by textbook hasn't changed. ind0ctr1n3 When a female says 'I don't need a man' means- I want a person who will not look down at me just bcoz of my gender Who will understand me, that I am a human too who has its own dreams, wish, feelings Who will not disrespect me Appreciates me, takes my help and also helps me when in need Doesn't fell shameful to tell i need your support, Has confidence and trusts that yes I can do it Believes in me, strengthens me If I do something wrong helps me to correct it instead of blaming my gender And most importantly doesn't look down at my gender We just want a person who will treats me for who I am and not an arrogant idiot who just SEE ME AS AN OBJECT and DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ME or MY OPINION Yes it's true we need a man but in form of understanding frnd, brother, father or husband Ps- I am a girl and I honestly respect Steve here because he was such a gentleman. He always listens to Diana's opinion. Did not offend her for being female and was very respectful from start to end. Also if u have watch Mad Max fury road than Tom Hardy's charecter perfectly shows what kind of man we female ask for. I hope this helps you😊
@Akitila7 жыл бұрын
ind0ctr1n3 they don’t. Loving a man and needing one are different things. And SHE definitely doesn’t need one. Also, nothing she said is wrong. Men aren’t necessary for pleasure because there’s something called “self pleasure”
@Akitila7 жыл бұрын
ind0ctr1n3 I’m 5’8 so, little? Not so much. The term “douchebag” is actually almost completely exclusive to men since the Urban definition is “a narcissistic man who dates women and makes them fall for him all while he himself remains unfaithful” so guess what, the term was used in a completely wrong context and therefore, you’re uneducated comment is not needed. (: Being a feminist actually means u agree that men and women should be held to the same standards and treated equally. Simple logic really since, we are all humans and should be held with the same human standards. But as u have shown from your uneducated use of the term “douchebag” in a completely unrelated field of topic, I don’t expect u to have the required intelligence to have such a thought process, let alone The intelligence needed to comprehend it. Your “feminist want special treatment” statement also made it evident that u don’t understand the term “feminist” either. I am not the least bit surprised of course since clearly, all the misogyny u exude is probably the only thing u can comprehend. I was merely stating facts. Loving a man and needing one, are 2 different things. But apparently to u, stating facts is a “feminist issue” or “feminist agenda”. And she’s an immortal Goddess who was perfectly happy without a man for over 5000 years while he is an ordinary and mortal human man. She’s stronger, faster, more powerful, less vulnerable and a better fighter than he is. No matter how u look at it, she one ups him on every matter. She most definitely doesn’t need him. Not for pleasure, not to save her or for anything else. Really straightforward. Leave it to a misogynist to bring in a “feminist issue” into a very clear cut topic where the woman is actually more powerful than the man. The “triggered one” here, is u. And the issue isn’t feminism. It’s misogyny. And u, just took first place. (:

That's called letting the scene breathe. This is what helps give a movie life. Not racing from one set-up to the next (usually in front of a green screen), rushing through bad dialogue, before the actors have even gotten to know each other, just so the film makers can meet an unrealistic studio imposed release date. Bravo Patty Jenkins. A lost art in the majority of modern blockbusters it seems. Marvel movies (the good ones anyway), also realise the importance of letting the audience catch its breath and letting the actors stretch their legs. Rehearsals are important too.

This scene is a manifestation of Diana realizing her desires. At first, when Steve lie down beside her, a few moments later she find it uneasy to have the proper sleeping position. The last part, before she said goodnight, she realizes the reason behind it (as she look at steve and his lips) that's the reason why she turn away and said goodnight. Why are people getting so picky and shouting against feminisn when she mentioned that men are not necessary for pleasure? It's an opinion and not entirely untrue for either sex. You can still pleasure yourself man or woman without the other sex. She only said they weren't NECESSARY for it. Not that it was impossible or terrible to gain pleasure from a man. Heck some may find MORE pleasure from a partner. But her point was that if men or women suddenly disappeared today then the ability to pleasure ones self wouldn't just disappear along with it. It maybe wouldnt be as good for some people but you can still do it.

This was the first new DC movie I watched and had the feeling that they had done more right than wrong and enjoyed the movie from start to finish. Good acting on all parts, nice visuals, an interesting, dark story but also not tiring or too predictable. It did the subjects it tackled justice and entertained a lot while doing so. Good job.

I love this movie. I agree with some of the criticisms about the ending, but the body and the building of Steve and Diana's relationship is just...great.

Why do I think that Chris Pine should deserve an Oscar just for this scene. It's only 3 minutes long but he acts so well, like awkward and sort of confused as to what he's experiencing.

They really did have good chemistry in these roles.
