That's what makes Diana so amazing! She barely finishes asking Steve what women wear into battle in his world and then immediately softens as she sees a baby for the first time. THAT is how you write a strong female character! You dont need to have the woman be hard as nails and never show emotion and have no innocence at all! Her softness is what helps make her so strong. We need more characters like this!!
@Howyaduing5 жыл бұрын
The males aren’t belittle to make the lead female character look good unlike certain other shows out there (I’m looking at you Supergirl!!!)
@KateBond6425 жыл бұрын
Well, not everyone can relate to things like smiling at a baby. Personally, I'm totally fine with stoicism in female characters. But men are still written better- they are allowed to have feelings of self - doubt and almost always have some sort of inner conflict. It would be great to see more female characters that are like this too. A lot of "strong" female characters suffer from some sort of "Hermione syndrome".
My heart literally melted when she went ‘Oh, a baby.’ I mean, that’s just pure innocence right there. It’s so cute, and how many in people movies (or real life) nowadays open displays their excitement or affection for babies.

Her attitude towards modern clothing makes no sense - look at ancient civilian greek clothing like himation or just in general. That shit is so unpractical that when the ancient greeks held Olypic games, they ran naked because there is no way you can run in the stuff they wore. Civilian clothing is supposed to show your status and outline the desired contours of your body, work clothes are for work, etc. Don´t get me wrong I like the movie but this scene when she rips the clothes plus the "we call that slavery" is just cringy as fuck.

Man, looking at this scene breaks my heart after watching WW1984. The sequel couldn't capture the magic like how the first did whether in storytelling, chemistry, visual, or action.

this one scene is better than the entire sequel. patty how did u mess it up so bad

I LOVE how she reacts to the baby. There is a lot of subtext there.

I miss the kind of “emotion” this movie lets you feel - one that’s lacking in its sequel WW84 (or maybe it was there but it just doesn’t work )

To be fair, since they don't wear masks people probably assume they don't have a secret identity to hide. Plus Diana and Clark look like every other White male/female I'll be it easier on the eyes

It's DC Disguise Rule #1: When trying to hide your superhero identity, a pair of specs is the way to go.
@suesue51425 жыл бұрын
Bc its cannon and the most stupidest disguise ever that it works lols. Clark was clamsey, uncool, nerdy, wheres glasses etc etc while superman was strong, confident cool looking etc etc people just didn't put the two together.

spoiler alert . . . In this movie Steve introduced Diana to the modern world but in the sequel it's Diana who introduced Steve to the modern world. Nice parallel
